I've been going there for years but no more. I bought a three pack of plastic pipe glue products for about $20. I kept the receipt in case. I found I didn't need it and my wife tried to return it. The woman owner refused saying that it had been opened. Indeed the primer can had leaked and showed purple fluid around the top ofvthe can. My wife explained that we had not opened it but the woman owner said she had no option and refused. My wife walked away not buying the other products that we needed. Thank goodness the defective can didn’t stain my car seat.I will never shop there again. I'll drive to Sunbury or Smiths Hardware in Mt. Vernon. They are a little more of a drive but when you walk in you are greeted with a smile and taken to the product you want, not stared at blankly by the woman and told where you can find the product you want on your own.No more for this place. That denial was the last straw. The woman could have offered a partial refund but no.If I could give negative stars I would.

The employees at Washington's are all amazing at helping me find what I need again and again. I must give a standing ovation to one Mike G. I was working on a project on a Sunday and ended up running out of a much needed item. Mike made sure I got what I needed on his day off!! Give this man a raise!!!

I can't count the times I've headed to Washington Do It Best in Centerburg, and there are always friendly, knowledgeable folks to get me in and out of the store quick. With the Napa store in the same building makes this an extra great place to start looking for all things hardware, auto and much more.

I bought a Stihl weedwacker and chainsaw from them .. Both operate on battery .. I am very pleased, but had difficulty getting weedwacker line back on .. They helped me at no charge, and have been very helpful in the past with finding what i need to do my projects ..

Excellent people greeting you when you walk in! Immediately asking what you need and then directing you where you need to go. Then checking in on you to make sure you found everything! "After standing there for a while contemplating string theory for a while! LOL!

Service not so good, Stihl chain saw there for three weeks. When I checked on it. First they didn't seem to know about the saw but determined that it had not been looked at. No reason or apology given.

Agree with first reviewer about the hours. I stop going to the place because it was closed several time I needed something. Now when I need something I always head into Sunbury (even through Centerburg is closer) because I dont want to deal with the possibility the place will be close, dont give it a second thought.

Busiest time of the year, close before 4:00 pm. If open, probably don't have it anyway. The chicken's are up later than this. It's Saturday!
