We visit the Frosty Frog every time we’re in the Sandusky area. It is a hole in the wall located in the small town of Castalia. Everything is on the menu and you can’t go wrong. Staff is always so friendly. Wait times can get long as they’re usually busy (being one of the only restaurants in the town) and everything is made fresh to order. We went twice a day on our last trip. Prices are more than reasonable. Other items that aren’t pictured we ordered were : walking tacos, pizza burger, taco fries, Hawaiian fruit slush, Mac and cheese bites, pepperoni rolls, and cheesy garlic toes.

Their selection is extensive with food and ice cream items. We had their small Flurry equivalent which was a good sized portion. The drive through line was crazy long but window service was fairly quick. Prices seemed in line with most competitors.

Sign shows 12-7. Closed at 650. Got a couple sad kids. Heck of a business model. And I don't want to hear staffing non sense, I could see two people there through the blinds.Thanks for nothing.

Expensive for getting almost no candy in my flurries. The top inch had candy the other four/five inches was plain ice cream. And no it wasn't just because it wasn't mixed enough cause if it was mixed there still wouldn't have had enough candy to even taste good. This place has gone down hill so bad. I'll just drive into sandusky to get ice cream from now on.

For $4.75 we got a small chocolate malt a medium twist cone. Cool refreshing treats. Great friendly service reasonable prices good selection sandwiches fried snacks dairy treats. Love convenience location too. Win win

Stopped here today and I honestly can’t say if this place is any good or not. Waited a little over 10 minutes for them to make a malt. Several other customers came and went, no malt. A woman comes with two milkshakes that she had previously purchased to complain that they were flavorless. She received two new ones, and again no malt. At that point I decided it wasn’t worth waiting any longer so I left. Is there a free malt sitting on the counter? Who knows, not me. I left without even asking for a refund. The staff at this establishment doesn’t seem to know what they are doing. I understand that it’s the beginning of the summer season but there should be some one able to handle the handful of customers wanting ice cream.

My wife and I stopped for lunch. We both had chili dogs and shared mozzarella sticks. The chili dogs were great, with homemade sauce. Will go back whenever we are in Castalia.

I come here quite often, probably too much. I would say about 2 to 3 times a week. No matter who is working I get great service. The workers are friendly. The food is always excellent. The only thing I have to say is that I wish they would cook food a little later. Tonight I came at 5:45 and they said they were done cooking food for the night, I was looking to get dinner there. Other than that, 10/10 recommend!

We stumbled upon this gem going to the lake. We ordered large items because who doesn't like ice cream? BAD CHOICE! The largest we're HUGE! So big we didn't even eat half of them! We could have easily shared one! And omg we're they delicious! One of the best Sundar places I have ever had!

Waited 45 minutes in line the people in front of us had a mess up on their order so sat longer. Then people started parking and the staff basically gave up on the drive thru. Needless to say we never got our food we just pulled out of line and said screw it. Especially when we initially pulled up and there was only one car a head of us. So disappointed.

The Frosty Frog has a wide variety of foods and ice cream desserts. They are very friendly there and have the absolute largest drumstick ice cream cone I have ever seen! I suggest you go there and try one! You will definitely be back.

This isn't the only time this has happened, we ordered a sundaes for the wife and I and when we recieved them they didn't pack down the icecream which was full of air and only dressed the top and not layer it with fudge on the bottom or middle. So basically I ordered not a Sundae but soft ice cream in a cup with half air in the middle... Waste of money. Well go to Tofts next time. Used to be good, but has gone down hill the last few years.

I ate at the Frosty frog and the food is usually really good but tonight a young girl with a long braid waited on me at the window..I got pizza burger...it was terrible..it was grease soaked and looked like they cooked it in the deep fryer.Ive Been sick ever since I ate it and the bag was greased soaked too.Another thing that turned my stomach was that young girl waits on people at window and touches the dirty money then goes back and touches the buns etc without wearing gloves..I doubt if I will go back there.Not sure if same owners but food has gone down hill.

Fufu coloring is not recommended. I had no option for vanilla, tofts in Sandusky, along with dart frost and Dairy Queen 3 great places. “Frosty Frog” did my order a little too frosty!

Drove there from Bellevue because my boyfriend wanted one of their drumsticks. As we pulled away I was feeding my dog his ice cream so I didn't notice until we were almost home that whoever made my banana split dumped the end of the nut container in and the whole thing just tasted like salt. I had to toss it out. What a waste. Tried to call them back so they could have the opportunity to make it right, but they don't even answer their phones. I wouldn't waste my time driving there again.

Sizes are way too big- the small could be shared with at least two people. Their flurries need a larger amount of mix-ins; they put all of their mix-ins on the top of their ice creams. 3/4ths of a flurry is just tasteless ice cream. What a shame. Try a different ice cream place- such as Miller’s or Cold Rush (both in Bellevue).

Ice cream was great😍....but really long lines, both out front and the drive-thru . I would've expected an extra person put on staff to help with holiday weekend business.
