On our quest to visit past Ben Franklin 5 & 10 stores we came across Ashton’s in Carrollton Ohio, what a great 5&10 store. One can find basically anything they want from the 5&10 era. The staff was very helpful and friendly, they shared with us about the Ashton family and even told us about another 5&10 located in Canton, OH. Thanks for keeping the 5&10 tradition alive.

Expensive but alot of old memorable stuff. You can get lost in time. Great experience. Would recommend a walk thru.

What a visit back in time. We grew up on the candy available in the store. Still brings back great memories even with the upgrades and changes over the years . Loved it!!

Love this store and actually drive from Akron to visit it. Has all the little knick knacks and hard to find things that you need. The staff is always so friendly and helpful.

I had a wonderful time in this store. The salesperson Brenda was so nice and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. They have a wide variety of different things to choose from and I definitely will be going back to the store and taking my friends and family to this rare gem of a store. I felt like I had walked right back into my own childhood five&ten store.

It's a good little store. Wish they had more of the " penny candy " like back in the day. Lol Staff very friendly and helpful! Love all the seasonal items!

I hope it outlast me I would hate to see it go. We go there a couple times a year and I've been going there my whole life. The aisles are narrow and cramped but you feel like your in the biggest space. It has a charm you don't feel anymore

I only gave it a three because of my history there. Growing up going in the Ben Franklin's and getting a toy or candy with my allowance. The employees were always so nice and kind and helpful not when I was there this weekend however is why I give them a 3. Not sure who worked this weekend but whoever it was were three young girls and they were not very nice or helpful they were rude I could have been an out-of-towner or somebody that just moved here I was looking for Fourth of July decorations and the moment I stepped into the building I got yelled at did they close in 5 minutes I wasn't politely told I was yelled at are the five minutes but I was in that store it was an all-around bad experience I missed the other lady that used to work there and maybe they should hire more adults instead of having children work there maybe then they would have less complaints about their employees being rude to their customers and most of their customers have lived here all their lives they would be repeat customers but if I see them in the store again I'm going to walk right back out.

Oh I can't say enough good about this store, they have everything you could ever want! Even things you didn't know was still made from years gone bye!!! A great place to buy a gift!! Love love this store!!!

Exactly what you'd expect from a five and dime store! Huge inventory with decent prices and the employees were very friendly. We will definitely return again!

Awesome old store. Wooden floors. Packed with odds and ends and lots of craft items. Prices are higher than chain stores or online, but totally worth paying a little more for the experience.

Depends on who's working they follow you around like your going to knock something off the shelf. If you don't want me shop here I can go to Joann fabrics it'll be cheaper and have more options. Just trying to stay local.

Ashtons !! What a place !! The old 5 & 10 still lives on & it is glorious !! You have to visit it to appreciate what's there ! Then go next door & let your mouth hang open !! You won't be alone !! Hint, if you bake stuff, you are in heaven !! 😍😍

Love this old fashioned store especially the squeaky wooden floors. Prices are a tad high tho.
