Beware shopping at this location. I purchased one item from the store and the price that rang up at the register was more than the item was on the shelf tag and the online price listed for the store. This is the same issue that Dollar General was found doing and Ohio has sued the company for doing in the past. I went back and got my refund for the amount but I wont be back as I will not deal with a company that is in direct violation of Ohio consumer protection laws and after lawsuits from multiple states still continues to charge more for items than are listed.

I have never encountered someone as rude as Tammy, the general manager, at this store. I cannot tell you how much money we have spent in the store. I have never had any bad service from anyone in that store. It’s all been good from everyone, except for the general manager, which I do not understand. My little girl and I went inside the store to purchase food and we had coins and a one dollar bill. There was no one at the register to check us out and so we had to go through the self check out. Tammi came and stood next to us and told us not to ever bring a huge amount of change in because the register might get stuck. I had $.97 worth of pennies to put in the machine and instead of her offering to help she huffed and puffed and banged things around and humiliated us instead. When I got home, I called the store to find out who the general manager is and it was her. Instead of listening to my complaint, she decided to argue with me and huff and puff over the phone and get excited about that and so there ultimately is nowhere else to go. And we all know how that’s gonna go. I wish it weren’t this way.

This WOULD be 5 stars, but there is a woman who works here named Tammy who is a COMPLETE HAG to customers!!!!EVERY time we go in there and she’s working, she’s incredibly rude. Just yesterday we were in there for the first time since the remodel - so of course EVERYTHING is different- and we asked about something being in stock. This woman proceeded to look at us like we were stupid and, in a very smartassy way, began to showcase and point to empty shelves.We used to think maybe she was just having a bad day and we would go out of our way to say hello and be friendly… but no matter WHAT we said or did- she was always horribly rude and snarky.I heard this woman is THE MANAGER?!?!?!? Wow. GET BETTER MANAGEMENT. She has the WORST public relations & customer service skills.Everyone ELSE is friendly and delightful. But Tammy is seriously the WORST.

I usually have all good things to say about the cardington store BUT I went in the store to do some Christmas shopping for our residents 5 of them so you can imagine how time consuming that would be WELL first the cashier acted disgusted with us because it was time consuming and the manager herself was sooo HATEFUL because the store was a mess well were not the ones who messed it up but she really acted like we did it all anyways this was the first really bad experience I've had at this store and the manager has had so many complaints about her but nothing is ever done about it smh.

More than 6 customers in line only 1 cashier. Reminded me of walk-mart.Cashier carded me for cigarettes. I'm over 60.After digging through wallet, she ask for birthday, come on, ask that first.......Another reason ta miss family dollar.

Management is horrible. Prices wrong all the time. She is rude to employees. Rude to customers when they correct her on a price. Than makes excuses as to why she didnt have time to change them. Most times I go to Mt. Gilead or other places even though I live in town just because she is there. Change managers and you will see growth.

I'm from Marion and would rather come to this Dollar General than any of them in Marion. This one has a way better selection and better prices. The staff is great as well. Never encounter long lines or wait in line.

Today it was great , I bought water , a 32 pack for two of them was $6.00 which was a great deal .Oh and a official mossy oak shirt, and a $10.00 official Ohio State University Buckeye's hat .So with that said , you got to love that .... oops and don't forget the New England Clam Chowder by progresso.Enough for now , but I really do love the Dollar general store.

I was in here one day with my mother and this employee had come out the back and was talking to another employee about "the woman" in the bathroom. I soon realized it was my mom in the bathroom, I called her out on it. Other customers were around and could hear what she was saying and it just was not cool. Very unethical in my option. Will not return to this store.

This store is always running out of things or it's never on the shelf. The dollar general brand cat litter bag is never tied closed and it spills out. They give me a hard time about going to the back to get me dog food that's not on the shelf. They suck....

They have a lot that you would have never thought they would. If your not sure about it being there just ask the employees and they will point you in thw right direction if not just take you to it. Very helpful employees at this store.

They are very polite and friendly at the Cardington Ohio Dollar General. The restroom is in the front of the store and clean and accessible unlike the Mount Gilead Ohio 43338 location.

There is a lot of idames for $1.00 that a lot of others charge $2.00 to$3.00 for so if you wonte to save a little money then Dollar General is a great place to buy

Cheese and Rice ... Website says they are open until 10 (22:00) ... Show up at 9:15 (21:15) and a flipping sign on the door saying that it closed at 9 (21:00) Whiskey Tango Foxtrot ... Planned around the fact that they said they are open ... If you can put up a sign, you can adjust your website.
