If you buy any food items from this dollar general please check dates the one time that I'm in a hurry and didn't check date on parmesan Romano cheese it was expired and I used it in my Alfredo sauce that I had bought so my whole dinner was ruined and employee told me I could get another one off the shelf when to get another one and found another jar of the cheese that was expired. I was hoping maybe they would at least replace the sauce also but didn't so dinner was ruined and time and gas wasted. So please be careful shopping there. I know I won't be shopping there anymore.

It's always clean, and the staff are always polite and helpful! The only thing that makes me sad is they don't have the live wire mountain dew that a few of the other ones carry lol but I suppose I will live 😉

I wanted to give a shout out to Melissa who works at the Canfield Ohio Dollar General. She was amazing and very knowledgeable about everything I was inquiring about. My family and I were heading to our Christmas gathering and we were in a hurry bc we were a little behind schedule and she was just the best help we could have asked for at that time. We needed gift cards and a few other things and she just absolutely made our visit there better then we could have imagined.. she deserves more then this review can do but I just needed to throw this out there.. so she can know that she is a great person and awesome at what she does! Thank you Melissa.. you definitely know how to make a positive impact in people's lives and for that we are grateful. There neeto be more people like you in this world. U are a blessing! Thank you :)

I come here all the time to do my shopping but after todays experience I will not return ! To the rude cashier I had I’m sorry you must hate yourself but that is no reason to be rude to others . You should not work in customer service when you have zero customer service skills ! I will be returning all the items I just purchased.

I was just at the dollar general in Canfield Ohio and wanted to give a shout out to the gentleman working there, who was handling several people with a beautiful attitude and excellent efficiency. I like when I see him working because he is wonderful at his job and with people. He doesn't get irritated with problems, just takes care of them with a smile. Thank him!

They have nice staff but it's been 3 times I have not got change back just a recipe I'm talking like .85 cents not given back I don't realize until I'm back at work but still they need to be focused!

They need to do a better job,with outside maintenance. 5' high weeds growing in the flower beds,and in the parking lot. Trash scattered everywhere. They're letting this place go downhill.

Very unprofessional crew. While one girl struggled to get my stuff rang in the other girl stood and watched with a grin on her face!!!! If i was the boss of that location i would seriously think about cleaning out house and hiring people more fit for the customer service... With major retailers out there taking away from the little business i would strive to have the best employees out there.. Cause as of now i would rather drive the extra 10 min to Wal-Mart or giant eagle

Hate this store and their attitudes..Don't care for the manager and a couple of the workers.. Was in their on the 17th of October around 3:30 really think they don't know what they are doing or their machine is messed up declined my card 3 times i called my card when i got in my car and money was on it so i went to walmart and card worked perfectly fine. Was their again since it's right down the street on October 27 is their a shortage of bags the cashier never put my 2 liters of pop in a bag and i had 4 of them never even asked if i wanted them in a bag... Omg that red head your at work no need to live on the phone complain about your kids father/ fathers

Sales sign are not clear. Everything is piled on the same table (top and bottom) sign is on front of table. Headed to check out and more than half the stuff was not on sale. Cashier informed me that only the items on top of the table were on sale.. . Can't DG be more organized?

Ugh, leave it to my fellow Canfielders to write bad reviews about a fine place. It's a DG. Just like all the other ones. Employees are fine. Store is not dirty. That is all.

They make up their own prices . Are rude, arrogant and shouldn’t be in the business of customer service. Then you try to call them and they have their phone set up to not receive calls or leave messages...

Great convenient store for staples and necessities. They also have clothing, makeup, frozen and refrigerated foods, among many other things.
