The worst office staff! They do not answer phones with any regularity and are not attentive or helpful when they do. I called to check on flea med availability and was told it would be waiting for me. When I arrived I was told they needed to see my pet before they could sell it to me. I had proof she was up to date on vaccines, but they still refused to sell it to me. I understand policy, but why was I not told this when I called before I drove to the office, which was my purpose in calling. I will not return.

Dr.Pentello was good with our pet, but the receptionist was rude and unhelpful. It's been such a hassle dealing with them. Our pet is still sick, but we will be continuing care elsewhere. The lack of compassion we've experienced here is inexcusable.

If I could give zero stars I would.So I never make posts like this but I truly feel like people need to know.Today I took my boyfriends moms cat to the vet. Pickerington Animal Hospital, and I was appalled by the experience. I told the vet how Millie hadn’t been herself since last Sunday. Her eyes have been goopy and watery, also hasn’t been acting herself. I told them usually she’s really good about getting in the cat carrier, but was hesitant and gave me some trouble this morning, and that her appetite has even been different.The veterinarian picked the carrier up and completely turned it to where it was straight up and down, and began to rigorously shaking the carrier to get Millie out, her claw was stuck on the holes in the side of the carrier and her hole front leg bent behind her body and her full weight of her body was straining on that leg. To say she was petrified is an understatement. I was so shocked I didn’t know what to do. He gave her the drops for her eyes, I paid and quickly left.If you care about your animals and want a vet that does too. I highly recommend bringing them to another vet. Millie is still not really herself since the visit and it truly breaks my heart.

Dr. Gesel is amazing! He does not charge an arm and leg. He will also tell you if something is worth trying or is a waste to try. Very honest and knowledgeable vet!

Always friendly and very happy with everyone at this office. Vets have been awesome with all our animals.One of the abandoned kittens, Hobbs, was very sick and they got him in and got him on medications immediately. They have helped me with not only my dog but numerous stray cats and kittens.

I have been using this vet for years for my dogs and cats, they are always friendly and helpful. The wait time lately has been just about unbearable to deal with, over-scheduling being the main issue that I’ve seen. You can never call in, the line is busy at just about all times and immediately ends the call attempt. No way to leave a voicemail. Would just like for it to be easier to at least contact them especially since it’s not open for people to go inside.

The staff here are amazing. They take time to listen patiently and are very tender in the care they give. I would give them 100 stars if it were an option. I have been to many different vets and I even moved to Hilliard and still continue to come here for my vet services. I is very obvious they love the animals and are passionate about the pursuit of the animals health!

The only positive is they were able to accommodate getting my cat in at an earlier date than the humane society.If you want better service and more affordable spay and neuter, go to the humane society. It was unfortunately booked out too far for my schedule though.I was quoted 175.00 for getting my cat spayed. I wasn't told anything else about post surgery fees. Just 175.00. When I was going to pay, they wanted 250.00 for the spay. I was honestly floored. They added on a flea treatment fee (my cat is an indoor cat, never ever saw her itching). They never even called me to alert me on my cat having fleas out of the blue. They just charged me anyway. Which clearly is suspicious. The dr. ended up charging me 200.00 total, but that wasn't the issue.THE ISSUE IS I WAS QUOTED 175.00-THAT WAS IT! If there are other fees after the surgery, then they should MENTION THAT UPFRONT! Not when you are about to pay. This vet is a joke.I would not ever recommend this place. Yes, one bad visit will get that response.

I have been coming here for years! I love Dr. Kyle Gessel. He is always very knowledgeable and efficient. He is extremely good at reassuring you that your pet which is a part of your family will be okay. The prices are ALWAYS very reasonable, and I wouldn't go to any other veterinary practice as they have always done right by me and my pets!

There is no better place to take your furry family member than to Doc Sheilds (both of them now!) They love and respect both you and your animals. I have never known any other vet to care as much, to be as kind, and so very knowledgable. They are truly the best. Pricing is more than fair, but when it's your "baby", that concern is secondary. Know that your animals will truly be in the very best hands there are. I have been seeing Doc S. for... ouch... probably 30 years now, and have more confidence in him than my own doctor. I don't have enough room here to write how much he has done for my furry family, so I suppose, a huge "thank you" is all I can say.

Every single time we have gone there they have made us wait. Yesterday they called and asked us to bring our dog in for his appointment a half hour earlier than originally scheduled. Ok. We got there 5 minutes before the time we were told to be there. 50 min later we were still waiting in the car and they wouldn't give us a time we would be seen. Completely rediculous. Won't be going back

Great compassionate doctors and staff that really do care about your pets. We sadly had to have our dog put down and they were great to him and us considering all we were going through. We all did the best we could for him but it was time. Hopefully he's now back to chasing cats!!!

Great veterinary practice. Very trustworthy and caring. Day, evening and Saturday hours. A couple of different vets at this practice, so you have your choice of whom you feel more comfortable with. Also accepts Pet Care. They've been around for many years and they are good at what they do. I highly recommend this place.

I am very disappointed with how they handled my interaction with them. Yesterday I called and asked if they would take a flyer for my lost cat in case someone brings him in. The person who answered the phone said that that was pointless because they would have nowhere to put it. I went to over 30 vets yesterday with my flyer and this was the only one who refused it. And what’s worse is the person said that I should go to Franklin County to tell them about it. I called them and Franklin County only deals with DOGS, not cats. So they were completely unhelpful and showed no compassion during this hard time. She didn’t even care to ask what he looked like, if he was microchipped or where he was lost. She seemed very uninterested and so I didn’t even bother telling her because she seemed like she’d just ignore me or worse tell me it’s pointless for me to tell her.

They will never treat you like you matter or listen to ANYTHING you have to say without talking right over you because you will never matter to them!
