The two employees working earlier today were just wonderful. Brought my dog here for a bath, first time ever to a Pet Valu as we're new to the area, and I will most definitely be back! The customer service was beyond great, the baths were clean and spa-like for the dogs with everything included, and the store was so clean & well-kept. I can't speak for other locations, but this one was phenomenal in every aspect! Just wish I'd caught their names so I could give them 5-star reviews personally!!

First, thank you for being open during this crazy time in our lives. Dog food is essential, but I was looking for a harness so I could walk my dog.I want to compliment the young lady and young man working the morning of 3/28. They followed social distancing protocol and went to get me what I came for while I waited at the freshly sanitized check out. I appreciate the extra precautions that are being taken in your stores, but I especially appreciate the welcoming attitudes and friendliness of both employees. I’m sorry I didn’t get their names, because they deserve recognition for their service. Thank you!

Amanda and Heather were extremely helpful and so friendly during our visit today. They took their time with answering our sons’ many and varied questions about birds, snakes, rodents and fish. They helped us find the right shampoo for our new puppy and even let us hold ferrets and a snake! Thanks so much for being so sweet, informative and helpful! You made our family feel valued and important.

Pet Valu was a welcoming pet store that had very helpful staff and a large variety of goods. The selection of cat and dog treats stood out to me because they had many options that seemed less processed than the typical treats one may find at Wal-Mart, for example. They also had lots of discounts and deals, which made for a few pleasant surprises at the register.

First time using the dog wash for my husky. Even though she hates baths it was much easy then trying to bathe in my bathtub. Last time i tried that I ended up head first in the tub with said husky. Very nice employees, very clean and the employee that rang me out gave me information about other things on the rewards card they have. No clean up and they supply everything but I brought my own shampoo because I know my dog is ok with our shampoo. Definitely will be back!

Lived here for years. Past it all the time. Finally decided to stop in after needing ear mite medicine for my baby girl. They were helpful and they had these treats for like 1.79 that were donuts and stuff. I love them and im about to go get some more 🤣 Great place my only regret is not going in there sooner.

Bought an Angelfish and a Gourami from here that both died in a couple days, but I got a full refund. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Good selection for a smaller store. My dogs love their treats.

A decent pet store, but the live food is often out of stock or dead in container. Check your live food before you purchase to save a hassle. In the past I also know I've had misinformation spoken to me about some of the pets kept there, just always make sure you know everything you need to know before you go buy a pet (from any store, not just this one) Overall the store is a nice convenience since it's closer to me and the employees are really polite

The dog wash is great! The bath stations are very modern and nice. For $10 you get to use the bath station, shampoo & conditioner, towels, & hair dryer. There are hooks and leashes attached to the walls by the bath and the drying station to hook your dog up so that they don't jump down.

Took my mom's dog in to be washed. The area was clean and everything was supplied but the dog. The dryer was cool air, and I would have preferred some heat but since it's summer I didn't mind. They supplied the apron to keep me from getting wet. Convenient and minimal bending over for those of us with bad backs. I didn't notice a ramp for larger dogs but they may have something that they set up. Cost is $10 and the 7th wash is free. I will definitely go again.

I have gotten several pets from Jack's and half of them have died. Their record for having sick animals that die soon after you buy them is ridiculous. The prices are expensive for everything in the store too. I'd give them a lower rating if I could.On the plus side the staff is knowledgeable about animals and offers good advice. Not sure why so many animals are sick then.

This is a clean store and luckily they have pinkies to feed our snake so we go here as needed. They were two bird cages close to the front and the birds looked clean and content. There were three cages in the very front with kittens in two of them and an adult cat in the other. They all looked clean and happy.

The service was great, it just smelled like a barn full of poo that hadn't been cleaned in years. Again, service was great, 4 stars bc of the smell that smacked me in the face as soon as I walked in. Maybe it goes with the territory but put in a fan or some air fresheners... something

I would give Pet value a lesser rating if I could. There is NO value to be found at all. All products extremely overpriced. Girls working have no clue about their pricing. I was looking for a cat play/climb/scratch tower. The girls working couldn't really tell me how much the ones displayed cost , there were no price tags on any of them.... The answer I got was along the lines of "well I think that one is around $X.xx". Cat food was also extremely overpriced as well. Very disappointing especially from a company claiming to verify a "value" store.

We frequent this Pet Valu store due to its location. It is by far the best Pet Valu location that I have been to. The staff is awesome and super helpful. I usually get all of my fancy fish from this location and I haven't been disappointed yet!

I had a coupon for a free dog bath so I took my dog in. I found the tubs to be very awkward for washing a dog especially a larger dog. The interior of the store itself is very nice but a bit expensive.

I used to hate jacks pets because i used to gi to the one on west broad, but recently i moved to groveport and noticed one by my house. The people there are super nice, i have a very spoiled cat and dog and i bring my dog in all the time, they know her and walk up and bring her treats and give her loven. To comment on what anouther. Person said about the prices, yes they are sort of high, but only because they sell top grade animal food. I try to feed my animals grain free and healthy food and trust me if u are doing this , u will see they are cheaper then pet smart.

The employees that work at jacks are all very helpful and knowledgeable about the items in the store . They also do their best to make sure you you feel like more than just another customer. My family and I shop at the jacks in canal winchester quite often and the employees that have been there for a while know us and are always kind to us.

Expensive and the people there dont listen. I brought my puppy in to find him some new toys a leash and some treats and these girls were chasing us around and distracting him. One of them grabbed him, held him down and tried to force feed him a treat after i told her repeatedly not to give him any treats. She then forced it in his mouth amd held his mouth shut trying to force him to swallow it like he was being pilled. And then another girl forced him into a puppy bed and would not let him off of it. I used to work for Jacks and I have had a lot of experience with animals and this is by far the worst place to go. No one had any knowledge that i could tell, and they spend more time irritating customers than actually helping. Found nothing i was looking for and was not offered any assistance. Absolutely terrible experience. Would rate zero stars if it would let me

Was a lot better when it was jacks it’s hard enough to find any saltwater supplies stores without going to overpriced big chain franchises, used to spend hundreds of dollars there in aquarium items but they’ve dropped almost all of those items and replaced them with focusing on all dogs cats brids etc... not all of us like fuzzy animals never had an issue with the staff though that much I can say

I’ve always been a big fan of the place, but I had an issue with a sick Koi that died 3 days after purchase. So, I know it’s going to be hard to exchange in the heat of summer while trying to hold down a job. I can’t take any live fish with me because I’ll be at work all day was my worry. I get there as the doors open & Well it didn’t matter. They have a crazy policy that really keeps you from returning a $13 dead fish. They also wanted a cup of water from my pond to test. ( again it’s a $13 fish not $130 )I have had a ton of luck at this shop throughout the years and just wanted the store credit, because I planed on adding many other Koi. I suppose I’ll find a closer place ( I’m 30 mins away ) but I really did enjoys going out of my way at this particular shop and had great help in the past, but this inconvent policy has soured me.Any suggestion on a place in central Ohio to purchase small koi?

Best variety of "cost friendly" fish we've found in Columbus. It was a bit disconcerting how many dead fish were in several aquariums. The other fish were chowing away on their dead buddies lol
