I absolutely love this veterinary clinic! We started to bring our animals here about a year ago and have seen many of the veterinarians and vet techs. The staff is very knowledgeable and answers questions thoroughly. I always come into friendly faces at the front desk and have a great experience! I definitely recommend this place and will continue to service with them.

We recently came back to VCA after having several terrible experiences with our local vet. The staff at VCA, from the front desk staff to the doctors, have been caring, compassionate and professional during the whole process of having our dog undergo surgery. To us it is worth the extra 10 minutes drive to be treated with compassion and respect. Would highly recommend.

Dr. McKinney is awesome! So helpful with all our dogs, especially our 2 ferals. She helped us say goodbye to our 14.5 year old dog today. The staff is so kind as well.

I can’t thank the staff enough for their heartfelt compassion. I had to say goodbye to my kindred spirit of 10 years a couple of weeks ago and it was one of the hardest days of my life. They were so wonderful and patient with me.

Came here on a recommendation of a friend of mine whose entire family goes here. Very glad we did. The team takes great care of our three Great Danes( Yes I know they are big dogs. Yes they eat alot. No you cannot use a saddle lol). When we got our Puppy Hera in June of 2022, she had some major neurological issues. Dr McKinney got her in immediately and referred us to a neurologist (Who knew they had dog specialist). Dr McKinney called the next morning personally to check on Hera. After that she lifelong patients with us and any of our pets.

I was looking for a new vet in our area. This place is wonderful! From the time I walked in to the time I left I felt welcomed and very confident that they were treating my dog with the best care. If you're looking for a veterinarian, in the Burton area, do not hesitate checking this place out! After 1 week of this visit my dogs ears, she had it a horrible infection in both ears, is finally getting better. Something other vets couldn't help me with. I wouldn't hesitate going to this veterinarian clinic!

My dog haze has a leg injury so I took him in it was my fisrt time it was the best experience I could ask for all the staff and the doctor was so kind and amazing and you could tell they really cared for your pet I was so scared and stressed before coming in for the visit but after leaving the VCA I calm and relieved that haze was going to be okay so thank you so much VCA 💗

Excellent and professional staff. I’ve taken all my animals here over the last five years. When I had to euthanize, they sent me sympathy cards which I think is a very nice touch. Also helpful are the reminders for follow ups. Just be somewhat cognizant of what they are for and ask questions if they are necessary. I made the mistake of assuming a physical for my cat that I was reminded about was necessary and I went out there and it turned out not to be. I assumed it was for her shots but there not due until late summer. The staff apologized and offered to trim her nails. Just a little mix up, no big deal other than the time out of my day to get to the appointment. I would recommend this hospital to anyone as they are very reliable and competent.

I only know one other vet that shows so much compassion. When we put our dog down, they found a grant for the cremation. When I had no money and my cat was so sick, they saw him and stayed with the most important to help him till I could get more money to treat more. They called me the next day with results and gave me so much information on things to do at home to help get him better. I love these people!! You can't find another more caring, knowledgeable vet office anywhere!!Update:When I took my cat in and they told me there was nothing they could do, they stayed with me. They let me say goodbye and then gave me time afterward. They sent me a card that I still have. I love all of these wonderful people!Update:Again, my 🐕 needed immediate help. They kept things to a minimum as I'm on a strict budget and had to borrow money. They kept it as cheap as they could and are so compassionate!! I don't know what is do without them!!

They are so wonderful, everyone. Penny started there when she was a puppy and she passed away March 23, 12 years she was a patient. Thank you so much for the caring and compassion. Justin, was especially amazing when we lost her. Anyone thinking of taking your pets here, you will only get caring and loving. They are amazing

Wonderful staff!! I felt informed with all my dog's care. Kind and patient. Nothing here came as a surprise, felt pushy or like a money grab and that's rare these days! Costs were discussed with me along the way and prices were very reasonable. But again most importantly, the care provided was compassionate and kind.

We drive nearly 40 minutes to go here. The reason being, after moving from Auburn Township to Willoughby Hills, my wife and I tried it 3 other veterinary clinics/hospitals and just didn’t get the “warm and fuzzy” feeling we get when we go to Burton VCA. It doesn’t seem to matter which of the veterinary doctors we get each visit, our dogs seem, calmer, we feel like family members versus customers. Everyone of the support staff seems to be not only extremely friendly and warm, but very on top of the operation of the clinic. Kudos to their hiring practices. We have two Australian Shepherds, and English Bulldog that are very much our children at home now they our two boys have left the nest, we won’t be taking them anywhere else unless, of course we were to move out of state.

I had to put my elderly dog down and they were so compassionate and caring. They made a very painful time in my life more bearable by the loving care they gave my Sugar. They made sure she was comfortable and pain free throughout the procedure. The staff was all so kind. They all treated her with so much love and soothed her like she was their own personal dog. I am so thankful to all the staff there for their empathy and compassion. It was the hardest decision I have ever had to make and they just made her transition so peaceful. God bless them.

Everyone at VCA Burton is wonderful! I recently lost my Doberman River and the entire office signed and sent me a card offering their condolences. It was so thoughtful and meant a lot! Front desk staff is always upbeat and helpful. You can truly tell how much they love every animal that comes through their doors. Dr. Suhie is who my pets will continue to see and he is so kind, thoughtful, and thorough. I travel 45 minutes to get to this office and it will forever be worth it!

Omg what a great place first our deceased sons dog was in morning and would not eat or drink so they got us in on the same day looked him over and before any work was done they explained the whole bill and what to do with him and it worked. Then a few months later his cat was sick and losing weight fast so we called again and they got us in right away again explain the whole bill but this time was not good her lungs were full.of cancer so instead of putting her to sleep right then they gave us pain meds for one more night with her she was so comfortable so the next day we took her in they all were so great so compassion with us after she passed they took her away and but her in a coffen box with a prayer with her paw print that was not what we were expecting so if they will take us on we have more animals a great group of people who work there

We had to take our sweet dog Sugar here to rest and they were beyond supportive during this sad time. The vet and techs were all very considerate and patient and sweet to her. We chose cremation and recieved more than expected. We got paw prints, a clay paw print, some fur, 2 angel dog charms, the rainbow bridge poem, and the ashes came in a nice little box with her name on it.

This used to be our vet years ago until they told us not to bring back our cat because he was too hard to deal with. So we moved somewhere else. Fast forward to today, of six places I called to get an estimate on cost of spaying our new puppy, this is the only place that refused to talk to me until I came in for a well visit. They clearly have issues.

We took my sad, old girl here to be euthanized. The staff was very helpful and compassionate. They explained the process before they administered any treatment and were very gentle with both my dog and me. It was definitely a sad occasion, but it was made better by their professionalism and care.

Dr Smith is an outstanding bet, I travel for work extensively and she always accommodating . The clinic has treated my 2 dogs, one made it to 16 and the other dog Sadie is still kicking at 19. LOVE this vet.

Our kitty had ear mites and they quickly got her in and took care of the problem ASAP. No steps were skipped and everything was done for her while at an affordable price. The doctor and nurse were both incredibly knowledgeable and handled my cat with great care. Everybody was super friendly and answered any questions I had. I am seriously impressed with this facility and will CERTAINLY be returning in the future. Thank you VCA Burton!!!

After taking our 15 year old cat to an emergency vet and being pressured to either spend thousands of dollars or put him down we brought him to VCA Burton and were treated with so much kindness and understanding it warmed our hearts. They diagnosed him with diabetes and confirmed that what the other vet said wasn’t a concern. He’s now getting regular injections and is totally fine. We are so grateful to the VCA staff for everything they’ve done and for giving us more time with our little bud.
