It is typically a quick and easy shop here. Not busy at all, good spread of most hardware and homestead supplies.This visit I went in for a rake to tackle the oak leaves in my yard... the two choices available were a small flimsy unit on clearance (still a great deal for $3) or a razorback metal-tooth modern unit. I bought both. The razorback works, but doesn't have the rigid feel I'm used to. I would have liked to see a bit more hand/yard tool selection.

The store itself seems to have moderate traffic and although they have a large space and a lot of merchandise, their selection is surprisingly limited. If you're looking for something essential and different options isn't important, this store does have a little bit of everything. Went looking for kids farm gear but very small selection. The one stand out for me was out of the 10 employees we came in contact with, only one addressed us at all and that was to say, "have a nice day".

This review comes from a person with over a decade of retail work and unfortunately standing at a cash wrap for hours at a time, as well as managing retail stores. I am a loyal FF&H customer and choose their store experience, prices, and quality over the competition unless its substantially cheaper at another store. With that being said, I will gladly drive to the Mansfield store over this Bucyrus location from now on.The cashier would not take no for answer while pushing credit card apps on every customer in front of me. The sameCashier talked at (not to or with) every one as if they were shopping at an upscale mall department store. It was incredibly obnoxious and inconsiderate of this rural population. One of the customers was elderly and lived a very simple life (no internet) and most likely made a special trip to just get out of his house. The cashier was irritated by the cashier’s agenda.When it was my turn the cashier asked for my Rewards number which I could have typed it in myself on the card reader instead of announcing it to the public. Then they had the nerve to ask my maiden name. ‘Excuse me??’. They tried to recover themselves after my response. Not sure how that pertains to any transaction. Then attempted to push the credit card app down my throat even as I spoke over them to encourage them to stop talking and get this transaction over with.The manager encounter: I asked about a price match. TSC had the same thing for $4 cheaper. The manager asked if it was in stock at the other store (never asked for specific store or location). The manager refused to price match it. I was in a bind and needed a truck load of the items so I purchased them knowing I could call corporate for the competitors listed price.This is the kind of service that discourages people to return. We have many locations for farm essentials and the competition established, but customer loyalty to no frills, understated stores that sell solid merchandise will win every day until they encounter a less than stellar store experience like the one I had.

Found 10 semi dwarf trees last year and planted them. The 1st year over half of the trees were producing fruit already, especially the peaches and plumbs. I buy all my soil I need there. All my berries are doing great that I received from there last year and they are doing great after winter. They have a variety of useful items, tools and equipment that are useful for farmsteads or just landscaping your property. Will be shopping here year round

I've recently gotten into rasing sheep and have spent lots more time at this farm store and there's been a lot of problems. Two of the most recent have been when I went to check the chicken some of them were dead laying in the food we had to inform the staff to clean them out. Second today we went in to buy a coop. The first coop out at the side of the building is broken with the bottom frame bring separate near the door. After that we go inside and look at another coop we go to check out. While trying to check out the lady was very rude and unhelpful about finding the coop I had to show her a picture of the tage on my phone for her to find it. Second after we purchased the coop and are walking out of the store she starts asking if we wanted the assembled one then tell us after that we already purchased the unassembled one and we will have to pay extra for the assembled one. Very un helpful and rude.

One of the things I appreciate about this store is its accessibility. I am not handicapped myself, but I notice that the aisles are widely spaced, easy to navigate, and always clear of obstructions. The staff really seem to take accessibility into account with this store.Additionally, their merchandise and shelving are dust-free, and fronted well.They have a good selection of clothing, paints, and farm household items, as well as pet foods, which is our primary reason for visiting. They'll have our brand in stock when everyone else is sold out.Every Saturday from 8:30 AM til noon, beginning in May, they host a nice farmer's market in front of their store.This store is an asset to Bucyrus.

Trying to figure out how they remain open. Have on several occasions bought pet food when on sale, but too old and well equipped to have much need for the merchandise they carry. I'm accustomed to doing my shopping in this area of goods at another place. I don't get in often enough to price shop for comparison, but it seems obvious there is a lack of parked cars in the lot most of the time. Must not be any notable enticement in play. Feel a little sorry for them.

Went in to get parts for emergency at home and Bob was able to find exactly all of the parts for me and even made suggestions that I had not thought about. Also he made a recommendation for another issue that I mentioned. Great service and knowledge of inventory in store. Emergency fixed thanks to helpfulness and knowledge of Bob. I will be back in the future and will look to him for guidance in my next project or emergency.

We were looking for a specific model and beans off wood burner. We looked online and saw that they carried what we wanted. Went into the store and the clerk was super nice and helpful. She got in the computer found a store that has what we were looking for and had it shipped to the store in Bucyrus for us. Only took 3 days to get it for us. We are super happy with our purchase and the customer service we received!!

Go here all the time to get pellets for our corn burner. They are typically good and no issues. But this last two times we went there the pellets were wet and swollen in the bag. I told them twice only to go back and still be the same. Ended up going to another location for the pellets

I just wanted to say how great your associate Bob was with helping me. We had to replace our regulator tank and all I had was pictures of all the parts from the old tank. He went above and beyond to help us make sure we had every part we needed. Bob is an awesome employee and very knowledgeable. Thank you Bob!

The people in this area are amazing! My hunny was outside, putting oil in our W.S. and a man pulled up making sure we were alright. Asked if we needed anything and was on his way, after we gave confirmation we were great!!! The store had everything we needed.. Friendly people, friendly staff! Decent prices... Huge parking lot for big rigs to park and shop!!

Called ahead and the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about their stock. Went in and staff was supper helpful and kind. Had 4 kiddos with me and they were so nice and good with the kids. Got my new babies and so feed and was on my way in no time!

I actually did not shop at Family Farm but I will as they are gracious enough to host a weekly Farmers Market on Sat. @ 8:30 to noon ( I think) in Bucyrus. Till the end of the season I suppose, so check your Bucyrus newspaper.Today I came home with Creamed Cinnamon Honey, OMG so good on my toast when I got home! Fresh broccoli and cucumbers that look delicious. Homemade Garlic Cheddar Bread. Had to have another piece of toast with it and it was delicious too!!And a beautiful handmade pincushion in a gorgeous vintage looking blue print that reminded me of something my grandmother had...and she had a large variety of other hand made items also.So much more to purchase, wood craft vendors with lovely items, someone with beautiful plants, another with gorgeous beaded items, another with yummy looking baked goods, a farmer with organic meats and others. Trying to mention them all...The produce vendor mentioned that people start lining up at 8 a.m. so there was produce they were sold out of as I was there around 11 or so.Oh and there was a vendor selling Bratwurst or a large Hot dog type sandwiches that smelled sooo good but I had run out of cash :(Hence the 2 pieces of toast when I got home.Worth the trip!! ☺ 😍 💕

Ok I didn't buy anything and I really wasn't trying to. I really went in to use the restroom and just look around since it's not a normal named store where I'm from. But I will say it was clean and staff was friendly. I'm a landscaper by trade and overheard an employee selling (no pressure just explaining features and answering questions) a mower to an older gentleman. She seemed far more knowledgeable than any employees at our Tsc/rko's near me. If I wasn't from over an hour away I'd be spending my farm dollars there.
