Bridgeport Coin and Jewelry has the lowest prices in comparison to competitors, competitors who in which pay people to leave rude comments and harass the owner, that being said, the competition fails to provide the children discounts, the holiday giveaways, and other sales that this facility provides for its customers. The owner provides information to new collectors and gives the top price for sales, reading some of these reviews, it shows me who has serious inquiries and who doesn’t understand how precious metals work, with patience and communication those who are dumbfounded would have learned from the owner but instead feel the need to leave pretty interesting hyperboles, and low reviews. If you’re looking for a place to sell and get the best price, this place is the best, if you’re looking for a place to buy and or learn, this place is the best, if you have a list or have something specific you want, the owner is happy to take your lists and get the items you need for your convenience.

By far the worst coin shop I have ever had the misfortune of walking into. Minimal selection, low end coins, sky high prices. Not for the serious collector, think of it more of a pawn shop selection. Owner was extremely obnoxious and rude. Avoid like the plague actual collectors!

Sadly they were referred from many mutual friends.First I tested them out by seeing what they offer for my gold. They will low ball you and offer 50% of the gold value in them. Thats worse pricing than the Cash 4 Gold store down the street.The pricing at this shop is also wayyyy overpriced. Generic silver rounds are 100% (or double) over spot price (18.91) And when I mentioned spot price and their listings, they than went on to say they now aren't selling. Be careful here! As they will take advantage of you if you don't have knowledge.I gave them a few chances and stopped in, but none of the time was even worthwhile. Don't waste your time here and drive a little further for a better coin/jewelry shop.I will be taking my business elsewhere.

15 mins then booted for loitering can't browse I guess. I was deciding what I wanted lol, why have a store if people can't come and browse I don't need a help if I'm picking things out in my head. I didn't need any assistance I just wanted to look at everything before I made my purchases.

Went in with some jewelry and coins to get some info. Not only was the store very clean and organized, the woman working was very nice. She shared lots of good information with me, showing me some tricks to figure out if items were real or not. Sold a couple of items to her, she gave me some tips on selling the others online for parts (pocket watches). I will be going back often with items, I felt like she was honest in her dealings. I would recommend her to someone looking to sell jewelry or coins.

Good people good paying price very fair some people don't understand these people have rent to pay and they can't give you 100 percent and sale at 100 percent how would they pay rent.I been around for years coming there since the previous owners and all the peoplenfoen the street has done is follow they previous owner. They buy stolen property and encourage drug addicts to bring more they are shady and don't even have a license to sell in the store that's because they don't want to pay for license and deal with what comes with it But still sells out of there.

Went in on a referral, was in for 15 mins or so and the owner asked me to leave as I was loitering, I was picking out what I wanted in my head and was abruptly asked to leave. Stopped here once and will never be back, do not recommend.

Back in December I had sold my necklace to the lady that works there due to family pet emergency. She gave me $75 for the necklace. I went back in this week in hopes to buy the necklace back. She in deed still had the necklace. She wanted to charge me $187 plus to buy the necklace. I completely get an up charge but to charge almost triple is absurd!!! Never again will I go here for one, and for two I hope they never have to make a sacrifice due to hard times and have someone like them take advantage of a bad situation! When I told her that wasn’t right that it was Jewish of her...her response was no it’s not price of gold went up... I hope they never sell the necklace and it reminds them how dirty they are to ppl with unfortunate times. I’m not a criminal my necklace was a sentimental piece but my husbands pet was just as important. Sad part the vet couldn’t save him he died three days later, and my necklace is gone. The lady that works there is a complete cheat... don’t take gold there unless you want ripped off. My opinion! You can buy it back like she said sure for an extreme up charge.. so if you see the gold 24” box chain with a gold shamrock she only paid $75 for it. Your getting ripped off if you pay her the $187....

I've had nothing but good experiences at the Coin Shop in Bridgeport. I've been there many times and have always been treated fairly. I should know as I buy and sell coins for a living. I read the latest review left by a disgruntled customer, how she was paid $75 for an item and the price to repurchase it was $187. I checked the time frames and all I can say is that gold rose in price by $280 an ounce in that 4 month time span. It seems to me that the disgruntled customer doesn't understand the coin and jewelry business. If she would of sold the jewelry 4 months later, she most likely would of received considerably more money for her item. I understand the sellers grief, but I'll defend the buyer as being nothing but fair in her dealings.

Very good selection of coins and coin supplies. The prices on a lot of their stuff is very reasonable. Plus, I was surprised that they also carry old tokens, and various silver coins and silver bars. I enjoy buying foreign coins for my kids from the 50¢ bin when they have some in. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable in the hobby.
