I had gotten a betta and had no idea what I'm doing or what to buy But the guy from aquatics was super helpful and kind in not only answering all of my many questions but helping in recommending me products and finding what works best. Highly recommend for anyone starting out on fish keeping.

Now charge 10 cents for bags . Also ask for donations constantly like it's not a tax write off. Corporate trash pit. *edit* it's crazy you pretend it's for sustainability when everything at the store is in plastic ... if you really cared and weren't just being greedy tards you would be using paper bags you sneezy shady POS

Charging 10 cents for a plastic bag all in the ruse of pretending to be sustainable is comical . Everything you sell is in plastic. If you wanted to be sustainable you would sell paper bags . You aren't being sustainable you are just another greedy corporation trying to make more money.

EVERY PET STORE NEEDS A PERSON LIKE RAY! She is the manager for reptiles and fish she has dark hair and glasses. LET ME TELL YOU, She is super approachable and will make you feel super comfortable when asking your questions. Shes fun to be around, when I say every pet store needs a Ray. Its because she is the RAY OF SUNSHINE possibly my new best friend

I bought a Leopard gecko from you guys who is sick. It is sad to see an animal in that condition. I am not sure how well your workers were caring for this animal but they worked with me and gave me half off to take him home and try to nurse him back to health. There were two others that were skinny like him last time I visited your store. Please make sure these animals are getting the proper care and treatment that they deserve! Customer service was great and the lady who helped me was very nice.

I only wish they would carry WAHL grooming products for dogs. The staff was friendly and they have a lot of items. I bought what I needed but not what I wanted.My dog LOVED his cookie treats!

Everyone is so nice and knowledgeable at the BG location. Today Colleen worked the front register and quickly cashed out a long line of customers while being berated by a grinch of a man. All the while, she was professional & kept a great attitude. Top notch customer service!

I stopped by this Petco a few weeks ago with a bit of a mission. I rescued a kitten while I was driving through Ohio and was in major need of advice.Luckily, I met Brittney. She calmly walked me through everything I needed to know - found the right food and travel items to get the kitten home safely; explained how to care for such a young cat, especially the need to keep them warm; and even told me what I should look out for when taking it to the vet this week. Cannot recommend her help enough!Brittney, if you read this: you are my hero.

Arrived early for 9:00am appt and no one showed to groom. At 9:15 was told by PETCO employee that it would be at least another 10 minutes. We left. This is unacceptable.

Rude staff. I went in today to get my kitten vaccinated and I asked a cashier where the pet vaccination area was. I received a snarky response from the staff member saying: "I don't work for Vetco!". How hard is it to point me to the right direction?It left me feeling frustrated and unwelcome as a customer. Thankfully the vet was very nice and accommodating.

The people are super nice, that's where the good stops. We scheduled a nail clipping on a Saturday morning. We planned our day around this as the only vehicle we can take our German shepherd in is our RV. We coordinated with our vet to get all the records up to date. Upon arrival we were told that our 135 lbs GSD could not wear a muzzle. He doesn't like getting his nails trimmed and we do this as a precaution. We've successfully done it this way for 7 years at a competitor. They have a corporate policy that stipulates no muzzle. This policy was never mentioned until we got there. Proceeding with out the muzzle could allow our dog to then possibly bite their employee out of agitation. So we wasted 3 hours of our Saturday morning and got zero accomplished. I would never recommend this company to anyone who has a dog with teeth.

Didnāt appreciate being reprimanded by the female cashier with the side fade for my dead fish return. Don't act like you're the fish police when your own display tanks have dead fish in them. The āfish guyā in the store tested my water, asked a few questions, and we were all good. In all honesty it was a nice transaction until the random cashier decided to get involved and argue with me. Most stressful return in my +10 years of fish keeping. My cat would have done a better job (photo for reference).

Shoutout to Brittney, she was kind and so patient on the phone and even more helpful in person. She was able to answer all of my questions and gave suggestions on pet food. I'm very impressed with her expertise and professionalism! Very happy the store is fully stocked with what I needed too.You have earned a long term customer!!!

It makes zero sense to pretend to care about plastic usage and cutting down whole selling products that are needlessly packaged in outrageous amounts of plastic. Stop pretending to care about the planet and just admit you're cutting corners at the cost of your customers.Employees are great and they get 5 stars.

I would like to preface this review by saying Iāve had fish for about 20 years now and currently have multiple different tanks. It took over 20 minutes to finally have an employee even walk into the fish area, and it went downhill from there. Brittney was extremely rude and condescending throughout our entire interaction, going as far as saying she refuses to sell me a species of fish I had been eyeing, despite me having a tank set up that would have made a great home for this type of fish. Her attitude alone made me want to walk out of the store and never return, but I didnāt feel like going to Perrysburg to buy fish.Thankfully, the gentleman that cashed me out was lovely (I wish I remembered his name, he had longer dark hair, had a face mask on) as always, and the older gentleman that often works the fish section is wonderful as well - these two make it worth me returning. However, Iād definitely recommend SOMEONE get Brittney under control, because her attitude will drive away loyal customers.

Big thanks to Britney in the fish section!Iām a beginner when it comes to fish, but I really enjoy them. Tragedy struck with my fish recently, and there was an outbreak of something that killed the handful I had inherited from my (late) brother. I was heartbroken but eager to refill his tank. I walked into petco with a lot of guilt over my brotherās fish dying. I was trying not to cry as I walked around looking at the fish. I was overwhelmed. Thankfully, a kind worker (Brittney) asked if I needed help. She heard my story about my fish and was super sweet as she helped me get some easy fish to restart my tank. She educated me on a few aspects I didnāt know about and pointed me in the direction of some good online resources. She really went above and beyond to help me out, without making me feel bad about what was maybe a preventable fish death. Iāve got my new friends settled into their tank at home. Orelia, McChonky,Patch , and Roses (& myself) all say a big thanks to brittney! Canāt wait to come back to get some more decorations for my tank and maybe upgrade to a bigger one.

Went to the store to purchase fish for my son's 6th birthday. Aliya was FABULOUS. She treated him like the customer and went absolutely above and beyond during our time at the store. She was so nice and knowledgeable about the fish we looking to purchase. It made my son's day and he couldn't stop speaking about how nice she was and that she acknowledged him and included him in the experience. If you are looking to purchase any fish go seek out Aliya, you won't be sorry.

I came in to refill my cat litter bucket and didn't think to grab a cart to take it up front after I filled it. A young man was rolling a cart with merchandise and was kind enough to take it front so I didn't have to carry it.

They were the closest store that had replacement dog crate trays in stock. I took my crate with me and found the one I thought would fit, saleslady waited until I set the crate up and we made sure it fit. I bought the tray. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Looked to very well stocked on most all of your pet needs. I will return in the future.

Nice, bright, clean store that has at least 95% of anything you would need for ANY pet you may want or already have. Staff is available for assistance, but you can complete your shopping on your own if you know what you need and where they store it.
