Michelle the store manager is very professional and takes the time to understands your situation. She also providing great customer service as this is key to have returning customers. However, it was very frustrating when I first called because the front counter lady did not make any exceptions to my situation and therefore I had to ask to speak with the store manager and glad I did. Office clerks may need more training as to better understand a customers situation before they decide not to help, this is why I give 2 stars.

I dealt with issues recently with this store running ads online and in the in store paper ads, that simply aren’t there. It’s not the first time, it’s happened multiple times.I don’t live in town so I don’t appreciate running into town for nothing.Their solution to this was $10 and extra fuel points for two months, which I never use anyway!Yesterday I was so upset after leaving this store. They are doing a make over of the store, and have been for weeks. Not a problem, but they hold NO responsibility for the people they are using to do this.I had two men working the remodel in the pet isle and me! Not only did they continue to stay in my way of getting my #50 bag of dog food. But stood and watched me drag it from the bottom shelf and watched me load it. So I turn around to move and one of them is literally blocking me. I wanted more pet food but waited until they left the isle to go back, for cat food supplies!! Because honestly I felt a little threatened and humiliated by them. It was obvious disrespect!During this time I spoke with a young girl, wish I had her name now, about what had took place. Her response was she didn’t know and that she didn’t want to deal with drama….lol. Me either!!! I decided I’d speak with customer service about the issue. Once again I was told they don’t work for Kroger. So I guess that allows them to treat people however they want. I shouldn’t have to be upset like I was yesterday because you are remodeling your store! I have always loved this store for many years but NOT anymore!

The prices are fair and have good sales, but a lot of the time they're out of their items that are on sale, so if you don't live close like I do and can go back easily it could be a pain in the neck.. also when they have all their registers and check out spots open it's nice and easy to get through.. but some times during the day they might only have two registers open with people and three registers self checkout.

I have been shopping in this store weekly while here caring for my father, since Thanksgiving. There is such a poor selection of items. Some weeks I cannot find stew meet. Have yet to find navy beans-dry or canned. Produce dept. is sad. I have yet to see a manager on the sales floor.When I was in high school I worked for Kroger’s in Parkersburg. There was always a manager on the floor. This past fall I shopped often in an older and smaller Kroger store in Clifton Forge, VA. That store was always well stocked, clean , and I got to know the manager.What gives with the Belpre store? Is it because they have no competition in Belpre any longer.? I plan to start shopping in Parkersburg the remaining time I am here.

This is the most useless Kroger I have ever been in. They never open the meat department on time if they even open it. Always Out of stock on everyday items. The list could go on for days. My guess is they have terrible management, I already know most the employees are terrible. Anyways if you need something i suggest driving 30 miles to Athens Kroger or to Giant Eagle in Marietta

No help at the courtesy desk. Only one worker at the self checkouts and a line half way back the store. Very poor workers any where in the store. Seen several just standing around doing nothing

Great place to shop with great deals. Some prices are higher than other stores. Only problem is they keep changing the store around.The delis have great choices and the food tastes amazing from there. The deli by the meats can actually season different things like bacon, chicken, fish and more.Editing my post. Absolutely pathetic with check out. Be prepared to wait for around an hour in check out alone.. that's if the self check outs don't mess up like they have been. At this point I'd rather use the extra gas to go to Walmart instead. They still have great things but check out lines and check out period is horrendous.

What a disappointment. Compared to the others in town. Limited, confusing, not a great selection. Everything just seems scattered. The folks who work there try hard and have always pointed me directly where I need to go. The pharmacy is ok but not great. They look overwhelmed, over worked and disrespected. But never made a mistake on a prescription. If it’s convenient to you those are not deal breakers it serves it’s purpose. And please please fix that parking lot. Not terrible

Again this store is moving everything around. It's still my favorite. But it takes more time to get your shopping done when everything is moved. It's confusing to elderly people. I'm not one to do the pick up. I want to look at what I'm buying.

If Krogers treats their customers this badly, making us wait 15-20 minutes standing in line, how do you suppose they treat their employees? This has happened to me on almost every visit. They have one cashier, with the line to the back of the store. The store is understocked, making it difficult to get a favored item. They may think they have no competition, but I've heard several people talk about driving to Athens, Marietta, or Parkersburg to grocery shop.

Large selection of grocery items. Well-stocked produce section. Good prices and weekly sales. Easy to use mobile app with digital coupons. Lines can get very long. State liquor store and gas station in the same shopping center.

They are not well organized in knowing when to have more staff on shift and more than likely are overworking any good staff they have. Pick-up used to be easy and now your lucky to keep your time within 2hrs of your original pickup time.

Giving 3 stars because this store has went down hill over the years and it's sad Kroger was a very nice grocery store.first issue we have is the store is never really stocked you can get a few things but expect to have to another grocery store after because most likely they won't have what your looking for.Then the grocery pickup is kinda ridiculous we have been doing pickups for quite sometime now it started out perfect but now the last couple of months it's like our order is done half a@#ed and it's so frustrating.for example today we got enough stuff to last a few days went to pull out the stuff for tacos why did they gave us everything else we had listed but the soft tortilla shells 🤔 thank baby Jesus we had a plan B ready but sometimes a taco just hits the spot lol.so we were/are very disappointed.Nothing was listed on our substitutions list other than the juice we got but those messages about sub items are broken (at least for us) because it barely gives us time to respond back before it says we're out of time🤷🏽‍♀️😔. something so small but after so long it's just aggravating.Thank you

Be careful and read fine print in ads. I was charged $20 too much on a ham after self checking out $300 worth of groceries for me and my girlfriend. Should have split our groceries up to get discount 🤬

My son sent my wife flowers for Mother's Day. They were pretty but they weren't the ones he ordered. He also ordered some food that included ice cream but there wasn't any. The Belpre Kroger has never gotten an order right for us yet.

Great place to shop with a large selection of items. Staff is very friendly and courteous. My only complaint is that every time I shop there the store radio always plays Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder. It’s not a terrible song but it is extremely overplayed at the store, to the point where it makes me irrationally angry and want to leave every time I hear it. Would give 5 stars if it wasn’t for Sir Duke. Kroger people if you’re reading this, please stop playing Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder and I will only shop at your store and give you all my money.

Employees were very pleasant in assisting me find the items I needed that I wasn't familiar with on my Thanksgiving shopping list. Store was very clean. Every department had items that I needed. I am giving them 5 stars, because they truly deserve this. Some places you go, you can't even find a napkin in the paper product isle. Thank you Belpre Kroger.

My family and I have shopped from this Kroger all my life. We've seen multiple store re-designs and I still remember when they had a little Blockbuster shop in their store.It's very clean and above-average in organization. We love it wayyy better than Walmart, but not as much as Target.Kroger rewards are really nice too because we get a small discount on gas for shopping here every week.My favorite upgrade since I can remember is the self-checkout for sure.Also, if you have kids, then sometimes you can go up to the bakery counter and ask for a sugar cookie, and they'll give you one for your child for free. (Haven't tried that in a long time, so don't start yelling at them if they say no!)Slight problem, as other reviewers are saying, is that Kroger doesn't have any competition in Belpre. Sometimes their prices are a little higher, and the produce section isn't always fresh. So -1 star for that.

I had to walk away from the store without my order when the self checkout tried to fraudulently force me to pay twice for the same item, wouldn't let me finish my transaction, and after the register called for assistance because no one was monitoring the only registers open at the time, two staff members stood behind the service desk laughing about something, and I don't know how many other employees continued to play around with the candy bars at the other end of the line of registers. I waited a reasonable amount of time, no one showed, so I left without the groceries, and probably won't go back to that location. If the store can't have someone monitoring the self checkouts, they shouldn't have those registers at all, and obviously, the staff has issues with providing customer service that someone had to leave without being properly afforded "quality" service.

The parking lot is a free for all, the lazy people love to park in the fire lane so you can't even get your buggy off the curb. This store is always out of stock of most items. Also this store is very trashy outside, trash blows all over the neighbor hood from this location.

The experience starts before you walk in the door. Nothing like the smell of raw sewage to greet you on the way in. Inside you will find your favorite items out of stock. Insanely busy store that is poorly managed. Your experience ends with one open human checkout line with you having to bag your own items. Or you can use the self checkout and wait even longer for the attendant to fix numerous issues.

Store was very clean and pleasant. Manager was helpful, directed me to the aisle that had the specialty item I was looking for. The meat department would not custom cut the sword fish to the size I needed, so I was disappointed it the lack of service there. Overall, a good visit.

I didnt have a good experience. Today was the first time I went to the store alone since my 2 heart attacks. I was frustrated. Prices were all messed up. People were not friendly especially my cashier. I had alot of groceries and really needed help out but was afraid to ask. I'm sorry I never complain and totally understand retail n customer service. I will probably just continue to shop with my husband as in the past instead of alone.
