I go often, plus there are more cute animals there to spend time with while you shop. If you fall in love with one of the animals, make sure to ask about adoption. Love this place. The staff is always helpful and very informative. If it is about an animal they do not know a lot about they always can point me to an employee who does! The wash station are really nice too

The staff is super friendly and helpful. We love the dog wash, it's incredibly useful! There's lots of food, treat, and toy options and the staff can help with picking the best choice for your pets' needs.

This is a decent pet supply store. They carry the brands we are looking for. They carry a good variety of training, and regular, dog treats for dogs with allergies. The pet toy selection is very good. The staff is friendly.

I came to this store yesterday to seek professional advice for my kitten who wasn't doing good with his food. The blond haired woman who assisted me was not only super nice she was also extremely knowledgeable! This was my first experience at this pet store and they're sure to have a customer for life!!

Great place for most your pet needs. There is a dog bathing location on-site with all tools needed for a thorough self grooming. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pets are welcome and very much appreciated. The kids love to look at the animals in the store including the fish tanks.

Took our 3 dogs in to bathe them. This cost $12.99 each. The store supplies shampoo, conditioner & towels which is nice. The downside is the water is barely lukewarm & goes cold pretty quick. We had to use water pitchers & water from the other bath area to do the 2nd & 3rd dogs. This took forever & the dogs were freezing. Finally after the baths were finished we proceeded to use their hairdryer . Again, barely warm air & took forever to dry. It took us 1 1/2 hrs to bathe the dogs. I understand that they may have a protocall for the temperature but this was ridiculous. Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon because it it a back breaker to bend over the bathtub at home.

The store itself is fine however, some of the staff leave something to be desired. My biggest issue is that more often than not, there is no one in the front part of the store so you're either left waiting for a fair amount of time or you have to walk to the doorway of the back room to let anyone know you're there and ready.

I have went to chow hound and spent thousands of dollars there. Buying fish, Guinea pigs, rabbits you name it. Well this morning, mind you I have other rabbits in cages next to the one I just bought 13 days ago, died. I payed 79.99$ for this rabbit and I got to watch my 8 year old daughter cry for an hour before she went to school , telling her the rabbits in heaven. She asks will I see the rabbit when I go to heaven I answered yes. So I take the rabbit back to the store and they say we can’t do anything there’s a 7 day policy, I was told by the manager Carsy “it could of been something in the air that killed it” mind you we have another rabbit in a cage next to it that didn’t die from the air, I felt like saying maybe it died from all your employees toting it around the store, but I didn’t. I kindly asked if they can’t replace the rabbit they sold me that died and broke my daughters heart if the could at least help possibly giving us a discount on buying another. They rudely said no, I couldn’t believe after all the money I have spent there which is in the thousands that they couldn’t even help me with a purchase of another by giving me a discount. I am so disappointed that we have a rip off store like this in bellefontaine. They should be ashamed of themselves, now I am headed to Lima to a good pets store to buy my daughter a new rabbit where they don’t handle the pets and tote them through the store and are kind and courteous. Dots, where the rabbits, fish dogs, cats and everything else is half the price of chow hound. Rabbits are only 35.99 compared to rip hounds 79.99$.And where there replace animals they sell if they die. 70 cents a cricket, other places 20 cents, mollys and gold fish 28 cents to 50 cents other places 15 to 25 cents, ferrets at chow hound 129.99 at other places 50 to 70$. Parrot chic lids at chowhound 34.99$ other places 15.99. If you feel like getting ripped off shop at chowhound.
