Dr. Polhmann and her team helped diagnose and treat my dad's cat Daisy with a thyroid tumor (unfortunately inoperable) and guide Daisy to her rest weeks later with incredible compassion and skilled care. We have been going to Dr. Polhmann for years and are so grateful for her gift with animals and kindness to our own. They treat beloved animals with the kindness and dignity they deserve. Bay Village Animal Hospital is the BEST place to the your animals on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio. They have a wonderful receptionist & assistant, and the BEST veterinarian. The vet treats you like family & is SO knowledgeable.

I wish I could give Dr. Pohlmann and her staff 10 stars. She is absolutely fabulous! A friend reccomended her, because the previous practice I took our son to, didn't help him and they were incredibly overpriced. Not only has Dr. Pohlmann identified his health issues, she explained to us what we can do to help him and showed us how to apply the meds that he needs. She is very informative, down to earth and she definitely has a way with 4 leggers. We love that she and her staff truly do care for your pets, as it shows in how they handle them and speak to you. I feel so fortunate to finally have a vet that puts the health of your pets ahead of profit. Kudos to Dr. Pohlmann, Jordan and Marissa for all their kindness and help with our son 🐕‍

I have to write this review because we have taken our family pets to this vet for at least 30 years. Dr Pohlman and Dr Stanberry before her. I don’t think the office has changed in all of that time-which is a positive and negative. I appreciate the excellent care that dr p gives my pets-she spends quality time with them and is very honest about her opinions which can sometimes feel a bit aggressive. However, I like that she is honest and not just trying to squeeze every dime out of you. For this reason, I have tried to stay with her after being disappointed with some other things. This is an extremely small vet clinic-dr, son, and receptionist. It is extremely hard to reach them-just to schedule an appointment. Their hours are very limited. The wait in the clinic is always extremely long-for appointments or to pick up meds and omg the clinic is desperately in need of a rehab. These have all been problems but what ultimately had me decide i need to go somewhere else is the receptionist. She is incredibly unfriendly, rude, and terrible with follow up. This has not been a one time issue, it is every.single.time. She is probably one of the most consistently unpleasant employee I have ever encountered. So unfortunately it is time to end our relationship with this office!

Their expertise and passion for animals were evident throughout the entire visit. Dr. Pohlmann conducted a thorough examination, explaining each step along the way, and provided a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to my pet's specific needs. I highly recommend Dr. Pohlmann for anyone who has fur friends.

First, the receptionist is sweet and friendly, as well as someone who listens to you! I did have to wait a bit longer than any other office BUT 100% worth every minute. The Vet is friendly, thorough, honest, and fair. Everything you could hope for in a vet office! I found my new permanent vet!

Simply amazing!! Dr. Pohler has taught me so much about dog health and is always to meet with me and answer my questions. She took care of my senior dog until she passed. The clinic even assists you with the cremation. She has been taking care of my 8 year old since she was a puppy. Helped figure out her food allergies. I highly recommend Bay Village Animal Clinic!!

They're very kind here and I have found the doctor to be thorough BUT I've waited up to 2 hours past my appointment time and eventually left because she still hadn't come see us. There are only 2 rooms so I know she wasn't busy with a bunch of pets, just 1 before us. This has happened numerous times. So if you make an appointment, just make sure you bring a book or something. You'll wait at least 45 minutes .

Dr Pohlman is the most compassionate and rationale vet ive encountered... She doesn't try to sell you every product under the sun to make a quick buck at your pets expense. Shes an amazing person. Staff is friendly. and understanding. We are always treated well

Dr Pohlman is a fantastic vet who really understands animals. She uses down to earth treatments before she resorts to expensive food. The ladies that work at the desk are very friendly and knowledgeable about how pets act normally. They can give good advice.

Pam Pohlman and her staff are professional, compassionate, dedicated people who have helped my wife and I through 2 dog lifetimes and gentle, caring put-downs. The hardest thing to ever go through is losing a beloved pet. We were so fortunate to have she and her group there for us during these difficult times. Her pet care is top-rate and you will be glad you have her as a "guardian" of your loved pets as well. Great job Bay Village A.C.!!!

I had previously rated the Bay Village Animal Clinic 5 stars. I think the vet tech staff are wonderful, polite and caring and I truly appreciated how they handled my large breed dogI am, however, feeling compelled to update my rating.We had,for months, been working with this vet to address symptoms that my dog had started to experience. He was lethargic and had an alarming increase in his thirst, to the point where he was desperately trying to get to the toilets in our home to continue to drink after chugging his entire bowl of water.Over the course of four separate visits, this vet suggested a number of remedies that we trialed for months, including restricting his water ( maybe his kidneys were flushing water and we needed to increase the concentration of his urine) and antibiotics.During one of these attempts to cure the symptoms he collapsed in our kitchen and was a unable to stand. We rushed him to another vet and they immediately were able to feel that he had a large mass in his abdomen , which was promptly confirmed by an X-ray.Now two weeks later he is home recovering from surgery to remove a very large splenic tumor that, should it have burst, would have killed my dog.I am writing this because of the quickness the second vet was able to determine exactly what was causing the issue and because her quick actions allowed us to remove the tumor before the worst occurred, which she confirmed could have happened at any timeI think Bay Village Animal Clinic is sufficient for routine care of pets, but I would strongly caution pet owners to get a second opinion should they suspect a serious illness

Want a REAL vet? Go visit Dr. Pohlman. I’ve had many pets and I’ve seen many vets. Unfortunately, many vets are all about selling lifelong prescriptions and special vet diets made by companies their clinics are contracting with; not Dr. Pohlman. She will be honest, she will explain it to you so you understand the situation at hand yourself, and she will give you the right solution for you. Not for her, not for her paycheck- for you.

We took our cat to the vet and she right away knew what was wrong and that he couldn’t be saved. She helped me to help him and guided me and my husband through the sad experience of humanly euthanizing him. A vet that’s human and really cares! Not just about making as much money as possible (like some other clinics around) she even send us a sympathy card. Thank you!
