They’re very misleading on prices. I called ahead to many vets in the Cincy metro area, checking prices and schedules for spay services. They clearly and confidently told me $300 for the spay, plus another $53 for vaccinations if needed (which they were). That was fine. I dropped her off and received communication that afternoon that the procedure went well with no issues. When I went to pick her up, I was told that I owed them $480 and some change. I confirmed that the procedure went fine with no issues… then asked for an explanation for their almost 40% increase from the price quoted. They only offered an itemized bill but no further explanation. I wish they had just been honest and upfront and it would have saved me time and money. I will be issuing a partial chargeback via my credit card company. I won’t be back and I do not recommend them.

I adopted a senior cat and needed to get a vet appointment fairly quickly. They made my appointment but put me on a waiting list for cancellations. They ended up getting me in the next day. Everyone was so kind. The veterinarian did a great job of explaining everything to us. Also the house they work out of is historic and full of character.

We love Family Animal Hospital!! Everyone there is so very friendly & caring. Although, about ½ of our dogs (we have 4) aren't as crazy about going for their visits, we are very grateful to have a place that we can 100% trust the care our pups are getting!

We took our dog here and the staff is very good with the animals they really care in regards to making that pet feel comfortable The vet actually sat on the floor with our dog and just really got close to her and loved her and that was just very special to us

Love these veterinarians! I have been going to them since they opened their practice and trust them completely with all my fur babies over the years. I have since moved to Hebron Ky and still drive to Batavia with my girls 😊

We didn't like my old vet. I asked online for vet recommendations and multiple people said Family Animal Hospital. I read the awesome reviews and called and made an appointment for Kona to get neutered and microchipped. They kept me updated throughout the day and even let me check in on him that night. They were thorough and called to check in on him afterwards. I'm so happy and I am about to make another appointment for my other pug as we speak :) SO nice and reasonably priced! And Kona's stitches healed so nicely!!

Sadly, I will not be returning to this vet office. I have gone several times with several concerns for my pup, to which i never found out anything that was helpful to him. Recently i had a an issue and once again had to rush him to the vet, but i decided to take him to another vet because i obviously was not getting any answers from this office. Ended up having his blood work (from a year ago) ad his X-rays faxed over only to find out from the new vet that my Dog has Auto immune disease. It took this new vet 2 minutes of looking over his records to know this. My bigger question is WHY did this office fail to find this? All in all my dog has been suffering for 1 whole year. This office also put him on thyroid medication when his thyroid levels were not even concerning (words from the new vet). I have wasted so much money at this place and feel sorry for anyone who returns to this place. Nothing can make up for the wasted time and money OR the wasted time i spent trying to make my pup get better.

I moved here from banfield and never looked back. These vets are great and helped me with my ferret also who was in heart failure and caught several needs in my dogs that needed treatment that i didn't know about because no other vets had caught it! Love these guys

We have been coming here for over 15 years! We have always been treated great, they are fantastic with the many animals we have brought to them through the years! They are also very patient with this very worry wort mom! We have lost some of our beloved pets, and everyone vets and staff alike are very respectful and compassionate of what we are going through.We very highly recommend recommend them!

I am so glad I found this vet for my 2 cats. The doctors and staff are great and have taken great care of my cats. One of my cats had some bladder issues and even though it took some trial and error to get him healthy again, the whole time I felt like they genuinely cared about him. I asked a lot of questions when we were trying to figure out what was wrong with his bladder but they never tried to rush me and took as much time as needed to address all my concerns. Overall a great vet and I highly recommend them!

I saw a little black dog in their asphalt enclosures outside in full sun stepping from one paw to another in 90 degree weather. His paws were burning. He looked at me with pleading help me eyes. I told them about the dog and to getsome shade over the enclosures that even those enclosures with some shade were in full sun in the hottest part of the day, afternoons as the sun dropped. Shade only in the morning. I suggested cot type beds and also told them the dog only had an inch of burning hot water in a hot metal bowl in full sun. I was told the dog was hot from playing. It was alone, no toys and just trying to survive it's miserable conditions. I was told well we removed the dog like he was a hero. I said what about all the other days? Dogson asphalt all day in sun with nothing to to but stand all day on burning asphalt not even a bed for relief? I was told to never come back to the vet with my dog they all love.

The staff members at Family Animal Hospital are very professional and courteous. The staff showed that they truly cared for my dog every during every step of my visit, from check-in to discharge, and took care to ensure that she was comfortable. The cost of services is very reasonable as well.

We just moved to the area and this vet came recommended. I was very impressed with the staff and how much they seemed to care about our furry family member. They took their time and answered all our questions. I did come out spending more than expected but only because more than expected was found. They are a lovely group of people that i would recommend to anyone. They even called a few days later to check on her. Excellent vet!

My dog had the same skin issue for over a year and I kept taking her back to Family Animal Hospital. They would “treat” her skin with meds and charge me a vet fee and run tests of all sorts...but never cleared her skin issues up. After 1 trip to a new vet...we were able to clear everything up and relieve the itch on her skin. It’s amazing what can happen when you actually meet with the owners and take the time to think about the problem instead of giving a generic fix to it. There are many other reasons I would never recommend this place, but this is what ultimately made us leave.

My dog Duchess was in bad shape. I thought for sure she would have been put to sleep. They took the time with me to help my baby. I have been going here with 3 other dogs. Over 10 years we have been going here. We drive from Sycamore Township to Batavia because we love them. You can't beat the prices and the friendlinesss of people you could deal with. My Duchess went from 94 pounds to 88 on the special diet and food. I can't thank them enough for all the good care they have given us through the years.Rodney and Michelle Taylor.

This office is the best. They were wonderful when my Annabelle had to move across the rainbow bridge, and they're so great and compassionate with all my other pets as well. Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend!!

My parents dog was put down this week. Words cannot describe how caring a kind the staff were during this sad time. They were very respectful and allowed us to properly say goodbye. It was nice to see people who care and understand.

We were just here for our ferrets. One of our little angels had gotten sick rather suddenly and before we could get there our little boy Danger had passed on... We were afraid that he potentially had something our other little one, Mocha could catch, so we wanted to make sure that she was examined. She was seen by Dr. Bard, who was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Fortunately Mocha was in perfect health but the thing that stuck out most for us was the compassion of the whole staff. It honestly felt like they were mourning with us over the loss of Danger. I would also like to point out that this was the first time we had ever been here as well. We were perfect strangers coming in, but thier professionalism and deep compassion made us feel like we werent. While this wasn't the best circumstance for us to meet under, we both agreed that we will be switching from our regular vet to them because even a blind man could see just how much they care for the animals and people that walk through their door.
