On Feb 10th, 2024, this exact location refused to accept my paper '5 off 25' coupon on Saturday because the clerk said quote "it had to be over 26.00". That was a lie, given either out of ignorance or direction from management. This is the only location whose self checkout machine won't accept my wife's phone number either, even though the Belmont location has no trouble. It is a nightmare trying to shop on Saturdays at the Barnesville Dollar General, but I think that's by design....

Pretty easy place to shop at but their reliance on self checkout is insane. If you want somebody else to scan your stuff like it should be, expect an attitude and a wait.

Pretty annoyed that I’ve called this store several times to just ask a question before going out + no one there can ever answer. It always rings and rings no matter how many times I call.

Was good but the persontbat checked us out had a problem didn't smile or didn't say it word. I k ow how to treat customers n u do not act like that at all u dont let the customers know there is nothing wrong at all. 15 years I was a manager at a big restaurant chain plus we had to have training at the Pittsburgh headquarters

I like this place. I found great adult coloring books there. Their sidewalk sale is always nice, too. I also bought the best watermelon I've ever had here.

Great employees, when I was struggling at one point I stopped in to talk and mentioned wanting a fish sandwich,a wonderful woman who worked there invited me to have lunch with her. It was a simple thing but something I will never forget.

The store carries everything you would expect to find at Dollar General, but this store in particular is a mess! That's why I can only give it three stars. The mess is ridiculous. The merchandise needs sorted and fronted. I was so confused I left without buying anything and went to Family Dollar where everything is neat and tidy.

People working were friendly didnt feel rushed even though it was close to closing time although it looks like they need more employees because the store was a little messy/over stocked there was stuff everywhere like they had no actual place to put items! Otherwise good visit.

Need to have more people running register instead of 3 or 4 employees standing around talking with each other. Employees will look around the corner and see a line and go right back to talking to each other.

Well stocked and clean. Never seems to be a long wait to check out. Parking lot is horrible but the store and staff are great

Employees, for the most part, are friendly. A lot of merchandise at good prices. Typically clean. Alot of times aisles are crowded by merchandise on carts.

The roads getting in and out of this place are kind of steep. Take your time. Once you are inside it is well stocked and they have a friendly staff.

Check out is VERY slow and long lines, crowded isles. I feel bad for the cashier because she is pretty much on her own.

Messy...stock needed to be put onto shelves...never enough employees at any Dollar General Store...not much price labels on the shelves beneath merchandise...I like knowing what things cost before I purchase them!

There clearance is so packed in small containers you can't even look through it without a bunch of stuff falling out and everything is mixed.not organized at all.

They do not have enough employees to keep the place clean and clutter free. Every Dollar General I've been in is much the same.

There were some medicines that wrre out of date and the kids toys are just everywhere in the isle. They need to be a little more organized.
