This is the local Aquarium Fish Shop, they do carry small pet and reptile supplies as well. This shop has been a staple in the community for a long time. If looking for that special fish for your aquarium stop in and support local businesses and see what the downtown Barberton area has to offer.

We bought our 2 Oscar's Jake and Lizzie over a 1 yr ago when they were just babies! I come here to buy them live goldfish. Great and knowledgeable staff!! Great prices and it's important to shop local and support our small business owners!!! Going today to buy more goldfish!!

Under new management, they had a good amount of fish to choose from. They had different plecos, fish, a few birds and other reptiles, a few rabbits as well.Good on price and the new manager knew a good amount on the fish we were looking for.We ended up taking home dwarf gourami for our nano tank we are starting. This is our second tank.

The stock here is a little more odd than the typical freshwater store: big fish (Oscars, bigger catfish, etc.), an assortment of less common cichlids (I saw a tank of apisto cacatuoides) and some discus (looked a little unhealthy, but they're discus), and I even saw a bichir. The selection of more common, community tank fish was weaker. I did see a (single) blind cave tetra, which is a rare find, but it appeared injured - a damaged tail. Could have been the lighting, but a relatively large amount of the stock appeared to me as unhealthy or injured. I may have walked in on a bad day - worth a look, but look with a discerning eye.

This place is GREAT! Nate and his daughter, I think it's his daughter. Are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. A much better place to buy fish than the pet stores in my opinion. Will definitely go back. 👍 👍

If you’re looking for a fish store that has everything you could possibly want for your tank, on top of having so many different variates of fish that you can’t find anywhere else, this is absolutely that best place to go. Family owed, small business type place with such friendly, knowledgeable employees, you literally can’t go wrong. I’m so thankful to have finally found them, they have a new customer for life!

I stopped in there today for the first time in at least 10 years. I'm not sure if Mike still owns it or not. I was in the store and found some fish i liked but couldn't get any help. I was the only one in there for half the time and not once was i asked if i needed help. Once his friend showed up and they were just chatting about life for the other 10 minutes i gave up and took my business to another fish store. I don't expect to be waited on hand and foot. But acknowledge your customer that was about to buy over $100 in fish.

Lived here my whole life, fish city doesn’t seem to have changed much even under new management. Here’s the thing, I only buy feeders there, I’ve never gotten a fish, everything just seems so dirty to me. It’s surprising to me that more people haven’t said it. A lot of the fish seem sick and the mice are kept in tiny containers that appear to genuinely never get cleaned. Smells aggressively of urine to where I want to hold my breath in the store. It mildly pains me to write this because the staff is so friendly and informative. I still go there weekly for feeders but it does worry me a little bit feeding them to my snake. If there were somewhere else close to me with live I honestly wouldn’t go here, truthfully I just wish they were cleaner.

I am revising my review, as I’ve seen the improvements in fish quality and health!! The owner is very friendly and incredibly passionate about his business! I’m happy to say that I can now definitely recommend this store. Excellent variety and prices!! Very cool little local fish mom and pop store! I love to support the privately owned small businesses! I love coming here. Great selection of fish, reasonable prices. All my fish questions get answered and they won't let you leave with a animal that won't work with what you have going on at home. It's refreshing to find a pet store that actually cares about what happens after the sale.

Fish City is a staple of the community and has been around forever! As a locally owned business, they fill a niche in this area and should definitely be one of the shops you think of when you need aquatics. The selection of fish is huge, and if they dont have exactly what you want in stock they are willing to work to obtain it for you. Try getting a big box store to do that for you, lol.

Awesome hidden little gem they got all the fish and supply’s you could want. They sell the only fish I wanted and can’t seem to find anywhere else which was the pea puffer fish and rare hard to find Congo puffer fish and much more so if your in need of a hard to find fish chances are they might have it or can get one they also have other pets as well

I left him my phone number and asked him to call me when he got some Uaru's in. A week later he called and sold me some Uaru's that he said "were eating". I bought 4 and brought them home, they didn't eat...Within 24 hours all 4 were dead. He just sold them to get my money. Likely the rest of his stock died off too from what I saw. I won't be back.
