Excellent experience buying our new boat here.My husband and I experienced friendly people, a clean and beautiful store layout and an overall smooth buying experience at Cabela's in Avon.I could have wandered the place for several more hours because they have such a wide variety of products.I wish there was a little café on site since we did end up spending several hours there on more than one occasion and I am not ashamed to admit that I like to have a little fuel for my fire 😉

Staff are all very nice. We went for the free photos with Santa and it was a great experience. My son has special needs and everyone was very understanding. The entire store was very tidy and things were easy to find. Nice selection of holiday gifts. Bathrooms were right up front and very cleanly. Like other Cabela’s, this location is dog friendly… they seemed to enjoy the fish display as much as my toddler.

Lousy experience! From the time I walked in I was harassed about signing up for their credit card. Then when we were walking back to the fish, I was harassed again by someone else about a credit card. Then when I needed help with a youth bow set nobody would help me. The department person was on break for like 15 minutes I was told. Don't worry when I said something about the lack of help at the register, I was offered a credit card for the third damn time. I won't shop in the store again given this lousy experience. This staff is awful.

The team of Mike, Mike R, Robbie, Casey, Jennifer, Levi and Linden are extremely professional, knowledgeable and fun to work with. Erin and I enjoyed the great fun of buying a boat from them. We look forward to all of our visits to come. This is a very clean, fun and welcoming place to do business with!

I visit this establishment periodically, as my partner and I share a passion for firearms. The quality of customer service at the gun counter can fluctuate based on staffing levels and customer volume at the moment. However, one aspect remains consistently excellent: the outstanding service provided by employee Jacob Little. Jacob consistently demonstrates exceptional kindness, attentiveness, and a willingness to go the extra mile to assist us with our needs. I highly recommend seeking out his assistance if you intend to visit the gun counter.

Wonderful store, a wide selection of goods for hunting and fishing, clothing for men, women and children, as well as goods for outdoor activities. All the world's leading brands are represented here and everyone will find what they need for hobbies for any season. Large Parking, restaurants and cafes are located nearby. On working days there are not many people at all, you can safely choose goods and measure clothes, there are no queues at the checkout. I recommend it to all lovers of outdoor activities!

Cabela's one amazing place...That has everything you need to put together a good campsite or a good camp out or even just a really good day hike supplies... Their hiking boots are a little pricey but a good selection...Cabela's has a good sporting club where you can join... Pay a small fee get your card to attend events...

Placed an order with Bass Pro Shop online (which owns Cabellas) and received the item very quickly and got $20 off my first order. Not bad at all. Shipping cost was $5 not too bad either. The main thing is the customer service via the website was very good. Nice to know that if I need to order something from this spot I will get it very fast.

This is definitely the premier sporting goods store in the area. The displays are beautiful! Many many items are in stock things that you don't see elsewhere. There is actually ammunition in stock. Not all but most. The staff here is extremely friendly and very well informed of the products they sell.

Great place! The kids have so much fun coming and picking out their own fishing gear and seeing all the displays. Great selection of camping, hunting, and fishing gear along with clothing for all ages and sizes. The employees are always friendly and knowledgeable about the different selections available. The store is clean and easy to navigate around to the different areas. Plenty of parking available and handicap accessible. The waterfall and displays are fun to just go see all by themselves, but chances are you will find something that catches your eye and will purchase. If your into outside activities such as hunting, fishing, or camping you will spend hours checking out all the gear and merchandise they offer.

I had a horrible experience in this store. I was there with my brother shopping looking to purchase a rifle for each one of us and we asked if they could price match. A manager agreed to do that.We took a minute to shop around, sign up for vacation packages that they were selling in the store and decide on the purchase. When we came back to purchase they brought out a compliance manager who said that they wont sell us the rifles. It came out of nowhere. We did nothing suspicious and it was a really big disappointment because the store is an hour away from home. After talking to the compliance manager for 15 minutes he said we can come back the next day to purchase without any issues.I think they were either profiling us or just didn't want to price match.Either way I ended up buying from somewhere else and my brother ordered from Cabela's website. They price matched online and delivered to the store. He picked it up no issues a few days later.It really bothered me for a couple of days after that we spend a lot of time in the store to be rejected for no reason. (They said we were suspicious because we spent so long in the store)After thinking about it, either they were suspicious do to our skin color (I hate to say it, I'm not that kinda person) or they just didn't want to price match.BTW, their employees at the gun counter knew nothing about the firearms they were selling.I will never give them my business again.

The sales people are over friendly (I personally don't like stores when your 2 feet from someone they ask can I help you). The store was clean and well stocked, even though they didn't have the 1 item I was looking for and the other was very overpriced. The ladies bathroom needed attention but not to bad.Went to the food location was very nice. The food was great, don't forget to try the fudge. It was very clean area. Dan and his staff do a great job there.

Got fishing stuff AND underwear. I was going to try the super expensive underwear on the competition commercials but I tried the Cabela's brand. Great choice. Cheaper and just as comfortable. No stink, no crunch

Waited for a long time to look at a firearm. Wasn't that busy. One worker was showing firearms to his friends. Figured that out once he helped someone else and gave them a middle figure. At first I thought it was for me until his friend did it back and was laughing. He finally came over and asked if I needed help and asked my question. The firearm I wanted they were out of and he couldn't give me an eta when to expect it back in. Also couldn't be put on a list when they do arrive. So I went to a competitor and they ordered me the firearm and got it which cost me 1600.00 for firearm and some ammo. Very happy with there service. I guess big there loss.

Friendly staff but lots of baits and lures are cheaper to buy elsewhere. Their selection seems like a lot but they have a bunch of the same baits, just lots of color options. Bass Pro and Cabelas in other locations have better options.

Went here to exchange my sunglasses and the experience was very nice. The lady at the sunglass hut was very helpful and I was able to exchange my glasses with ones that fit me better.It's a nice store and always a fun place when it's full of outdoor adventure toys.

Didn't have in stock anything I was looking for even though they say they are an "outdoor " store. I was then interested in a meat smoker until I saw that it was MADE IN CHINA! Very disappointing experience.

The boat service/sales department is incompetent. They have had my Tracker boat in for the 3rd time now (a total of about one year for all three times) for the same warranty issue, the consoles. It takes MONTHS to receive these consoles from White River Marine Group and Cabelas service has cracked two of the 3 while attempting to install, returned our boat back with old consoles in, while awaiting yet another console to be sent months later, and returned it with missing rivets, scratches, weather stripping not intact, leftover fiberglass/metal shavings on ledge while awaiting yet another console from the manufacturer. When they were unable to install the 3rd console sent over they called me in to sign papers to ship my boat out to the manufacturer. The acting service manager told me that he was 98.5% certain that White River Marine Group would replace my hull because the acting service manager "has been doing this a long time" and the manufacturer never has them send the boats back to them. The acting service manager also told me that my boat has structural damage and walked me around showing me what he thought was structural damage. White River took under 2 weeks to install the consoles and advised there is not structural damage and sent my boat back from WI to OH. Who are you supposed to believe? White River or the "acting" service manager who has been "doing this a long time"? This was almost 2 weeks ago, still do not have my boat because not only did Cabelas lose my boat keys but they claim the manufacturer forgot to send back the seat base plate when they shipped it back. We are now awaiting this base plate, which apparently takes a long time to ship. They have one on the showroom boat they could install, but why would they do that? Why attempt to make the customer happy and get their boat back to them after having their boat this time around since December 8th and over 1 year total for all 3 console install attempts they made??!! Did I mention they have lost my boat seats too? Yeah, that too and they gave my boat batteries to a family member without asking/contacting me to see if this was permissible. The ball has continuously been dropped by Cabelas Boat Service and Sales Department (the sales manager who is supposedly in charge of the service department is in on this craziness too). They sit there and say they want to get us back in our boat too, but yet under the same breath say that there is a base plate on the showroom boat that they will put in if the one on order does not come in. So why would you NOT put this in now and put the one on order in the showroom floor boat since that boat is not owned by anyone and sitting on your showroom floor? You do not want to get us back in our boat as soon as possible or you would have taken this alternative unless there is even more going on with our boat that you are not telling us, and quite possibly that could be it since you are deceitful. I have given them one star because I have to give something, but they do not even deserve that.

Had no idea Cabela's had free 4x6 photos with Santa. Made reservation went and it was so much easier than going to the mall. Also have a cool Frame you can purchase for the picture.
