First time going a couple days ago. Very friendly atmosphere, they have a little bit of everything to get you exited if you’re into gardening. I’m new to horticulture and the owner was helpful with information, instead of trying to push a sale. Some items are a little pricey but they were high quality handmade goods just out of my budget. The birdseed economy bag was priced good and it was better quality and price then Walmarts economy bag. They had a lot for how early it is for starts, and was told they’d have plenty more in a week or so.

Great place to get your garden goods. Also they have a lovely supply of flowers and the greenhouse workers will help you if you're not sure what's what. If you walk inside there's a whole lot to look at in there. Plenty of supplies and gifts. I would suggest to go with plenty of time to look around because there's so much to see. We go down a few times a year and it's always a fun time, really just a joyful place to stop in and support. I'd recommend for everyone to go at least once and see if there's something for you. [[Sat.4.Nov.2023 @ 1pm]]Was out&abt up in AthensOH this afternoon and decided to stop by White’s Mill to do some browsing around, it was a Nice Sunny Day, there were lot nice Items to pick from (Books, Puzzles, Coffee Items, Apparel, Jewelry, Educational Readings, Kids Toys, Garden & Yard Tools, Outdoor Items and Lots moe).Before leaving there take look out back of the Nice Scenery Hocking River coming thru.

Friendly is an understatement. The setting on the river is beautiful and the subject for many local artists. I get my bird seed here, and while they are filling my order, the store has a never ending supply of things to look at (or buy!). Great place for buying spring plantings.

Wonderful source of heirloom seeds and all kinds of outdoor products, as well as local arts. Sparkling reproduction Fenton glass, local pottery, and much more. Well worth a stop whenever you're in the area.Staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to find white clover seed for overseeding my lawn, something you can't get at the big box stores. The old building, great service, heirloom selections, and parcel wrapped in a brown paper bag and tied with twine showed White's Mill is preserving the best part of a bygone era.

Love this place .They do have unique items and helpful and friendly staff. I appreciate the fact that the mat I purchased is made from recycled material and am willing to pay a little more for that! This is one of my favorite "go to" places when I am in/near Athens!

White's Mill is iconically Athens! There is an incredible view of the mighty Hocking River as you browse the bountiful greenery on display in the greenhouses outside of the store. The labels on the plants are helpful in understanding when and where to plant your purchases when you get home and if they aren't helpful enough, there is always a knowledgeable staff member nearby. In addition to the plants outside, the store has anything you might need to plant a garden, plus a gift shop that is filled with locally sourced art.

Great staff and great selection. I had a really great experience visiting them for an event they hosted and ended up buying alot of locally sourced trinkets. I highly recommend giving them a visit to find your treasure.

I really like this place a lot. It is a garden enthusiast's dream. It has everything you need for gardening and more. My favorite section is the section where all of the pottery and other artisinal items are. It is a must visit if in Athens. Prices are affordable, products are unique, and staff are friendly and helpful.

Whites mill has a great selection of petunia’s and many other plants such as corn and sunflowers , The building is beautiful and was originally purposed as a flour mill once owned by the athens psychiatric hospital , the patients would often take a hike to the mill and fish off side of a flood gate that was once behind the mill.

Awesome place to buy bird seed, seed, plants and garden must haves. They also have a great selection of books and jewelry! There’s a variety of products in the gift shop including candles, local pottery, children’s toys, books, trinkets, sustainable items like reusable bees wax wraps, soap, and much more! The employees are always so helpful and friendly even during the busiest of times.

A little pricey but they have such a wide selection of gardening stuff that I always make a couple trips here throughout the growing season. Plants are always healthy. Give yourself plenty of time to wander around.

Very friendly staff and helpful. There is a fun room with wooden toys, books, and local merchandise that my 2 yo daughter loves to visit. Great prices on bulk birdseed and tons of bird feeders, bird houses, bird supplies, etc. This is a great place to stop by for a feel of Athens, or to bring visitors to. There is a great view of the river from the back of the store, too!

Friendly service, nice store. I love the old mill and historical ambience. We stopped in during our motorcycle vacation. Its a garden center and gift shop. The pottery is beautiful. I wish they had a tea towel printed with the White's Mill and year and or a reusable bag printed specific to the mill. I was also hoping to find a local pottery artist for a salt cellar...

I've lived in Athens for over 5 decades and Whites Mill has been one of my go-to stores for much of the last 3 of them. It's the best place to find unique gifts and the staff is very friendly. I just adore the building too. I appreciate the local businesses and hope that White's Mill is around for a very long time to come.

A great place for hard to find items. I regularly get bird food and have purchased bird feeders there as well. They have a nice selection of plants and other garden items as well. The employees are always friendly and helpful, too.
