I really like Menards. An interesting assortment of merchandise. I’m not a big fan of their rebate program. I’d rather just get a discount. But where Menards stands out is their service. At one competitor, employees try not to make eye contact. At Menards, an employee will walk with to show you merchandise if you make an inquiry.

Bought appliances from Menards for new house. Kitchenaid range worked long enough for warranty to expire, refrigerator froze everything even on lowest setting and dishwasher, also out of warranty, (Amana brand) has never dried the dishes. Will NEVER buy appliances or anything or mechanical here again. Take my advice go to Lowes cause you'll eventually end up there or another appliance store.

Menards is a great place thats sells items for every need. From home improvement to towing a trailer to plumbing a toilet. It is a Lowes and Home Depot combined.

If we only had one closer to marietta. Still worth the drive compared to what we have in our town.Plenty of people working register, and completely more to choose from. We have 1 cashier waiting on 7-10 people mainly everytime you visit our lumber store, and usually a 5 minute checkout compared to 30 here on Pike st store

I've gone here when I can't find a particular item anywhere else in Athens, but today I wanted to save some time and purchase what I need online for pickup for items that are already in the store and noticed the processing fee just for pickup. I guess it's worth it if you're getting a bunch of things and are short on time, but then I also noticed from other reviews that they apparently don't even pull the item from the shelf for you and that you have to go in and get it all yourself anyway. I know I will have to rummage around for the particular items I need in the second floor stock, so I guess I will skip paying extra for nothing.

First time visiting one. Decent prices on a lot of stuff. It's like a lowes and Costco all in one. I was a little disappointed in the pet/animal section only because it only had items for cats, dogs, and wild birds. I was hoping for stuff for chickens.

The staff are very nice and friendly. The store has such a big selection of everything I can think of. I can't wait to visit the store again. Menards was easy to find in Athens. Definitely a 5 star.

I bought a dishwasher about a year and a half ago. It recently started not draining correctly, so I tried all of the "easy" fixed with no luck. I went to Menards to ask what should be done, and to my surprise was told that I can do a one for one exchange. I spent the night uninstalling the dishwasher and loading up. When I returned in the morning, I was told that since it's a year old, I'd have to go through the manufacturer. So I wasted my night uninstalling due to staff lack of knowledge. At the very least, I expected them to keep word and do the exchange and call it a bad mistake, however, now I'm stuck calling the manufacturer for hours on end to setup a service call and reinstalling a broken dishwasher for the service call. I've generally had good experiences otherwise, however this is a major mistake to me and I will be shopping elsewhere from now on. Thanks Don and Ryan!

Staff isn't very knowledgeable about much of anything in the store except where to stand and look busy. Prices are fair in most cases, sometimes they can be a little more than other, better known stores, such as Home Depot. Some selection is limited, or non-existent. I'd skip this location and go somewhere else.

Went to Menards with a tea kettle trying to build a water distiller, and with the help of Jennifer, was able to get everything I needed. The DIY I was following didn’t have any measurements for the pieces needed, and she found everything I needed for it! Thanks a lot!

Had to purchase a new washing machine (not my favorite thing to do!) but appliance manager Larry at the Athens Ohio location made it a lot easier. In fact, everyone in the store was friendly and helpful and the process went smoothly. That's kind of rare these days it seems. Also selection was good as were prices. I really like my new washer

I like much of their merchandise, but they need to switch insurance companies. They would not help me tie down a big load in the back of my pickup truck (due to liability issues, as per the department manager, the store manager, and a gentleman I contacted via the website.) Being a 64-year-old woman, it's difficult to crawl around trying to securely tie down a cumbersome load, something in which I am not experienced. I had to call my husband, who had to drive about 80 additional miles to help me. Horrible customer service!

This was my second time here and I am just always impressed by the organization of the store and the friendly staff. If you want it… Menards has it! Absolutely love this store… it is like Lowes or Home Depot on crack! The prices are great and you can skip other hardware shops and even Walmart, just go to Menards! Wish they had one by us in Jersey!!

One of the biggest stores I've been to nationwide, not just Menards. This store will easily outgrow Walmart by triple in size. I went for a little shopping, and just to walk around the store from end to end without stopping, I needed 15 min. It's seriously has every single item you could think of. The location is wonderful too.

Employees were great to work with but I had bought some plywood and hardwood lumber online a day in advance and received an email stating it was ready to pickup. I called on my way there to confirm and was told that even though I purchase online (which to me meant it would be pulled and ready for pickup) that I had to go in the store and pull it all off the shelf myself. So what exactly is the point to purchasing online in advance then

My boyfriend and I ordered a $35,000 30x64’ pole barn from Menards. We went into the store(Athens) and used the computer to design the pole barn exactly how we wanted it. An employee, (Ryan B.) helped us get all of the materials ordered: he told us they separated it into 3 different orders, 2 that would be delivered to our job site, and 1 that we would have to come pick up from the store ourselves. We asked Ryan if it mattered when we came to pick up the supplies from the store and he told us it didn’t matter when. Never once mentioned a time limit that we had to come pick up our material. The 2 job site orders were not to be delivered for another month, so we waited until then to come pick up the material, they also ended up delivering one of those job site orders to the store. Over the past 3 days we have made multiple trips to the store to pick up our material. Every single trip we made the employees didn’t know where our orders were, didn’t know anything about our orders and had nothing ready for us. We hand picked 81 boards of OSB. Over 200 boards of lumber ranging from 8’-20’. We had been under the impression that the only material we’d be picking up from the store would be smaller material such as screws, nails, gutters, etc. RYAN B. Had not given us any information at all regarding the material we had to come pick up, or the material being delivered to our job site. Which also required heavy equipment to unload that we were supposed to provide ourselves. Also, when placing this order with RYAN B. He initially started to order the wrong color of roofing, we corrected it and he said he went in and changed it in the order, but we still received the wrong color of roofing.Every single day we talked to a range of 3-10 different employees, all who continually had to go get more employees to figure out what was going on. Multiple trips they tried to close out our order when we still had to come back to pick up more material and today they wouldn’t let us into the yard because their employees had closed out both of our orders to which they still had materials in the yard with our order name and number on it.This whole process, which we thought was super handy and super convenient at the beginning, has turned into a frustrating nightmare. The employee, Ryan B., that originally helped us with this order has been in the store every day over the past 3 days that we have been there and has not helped us a single time since. We will not be shopping at Menards after this horrific experience. You would think a company that you picked to give over 30k of your money would be more willing to ensure a smooth experience for such an important project. I recommend that everyone orders buildings through other companies.

I had previously gave a 4 star rating on this store. However, I wish I could now give a zero stars and will be visiting to speak with the general manager about their policies. Then I just may follow-up for further review. Either here or on YouTube. We shall see.

Employees have always been very friendly here, greet me, and ask of I need help. The store is clean and well lit considering it's like a warehouse, and garden center has well taken care of plants. Sometimes my partner and i go here just for fun to look around.

It's a home improvement place with just about anything you can think of. A word of advice, always double check the other home improvement stores around it, compare prices and compare brands. It seems that a lot of things that 1 store has the other store does not and vice versa. Do your research.Everyone does seem friendly and helpful.

Decent selection in home siding. I highly recommend calling before picking up special orders. I received emails stating my order has come in and would be ready to pick up. Ive been down three times now and they still don't have it all. Don't trust the emails. Call.
