[[Mon.13.Nov.2023 @ 11am]]My wife & i wanted to do our grocery shopping at a entire different location, so we picked the Krogers that is located on AthensOH which was 40-45miles west of our residence.This would be our first time to this Krogers in that location, we arrived and soon we entered we was shocked, we both said this Krogers is enormous and we noticed to our right a “Starbucks Coffee Shop” we was like are you kidding me, now that is the way to do it “get a Coffee” and do your grocery shopping.I mean, the lanes was much longer and tremendous amount different types foods that you do not see at other location’s, the fresh produce seem to be a mile long laughing out loud.It was very clean and all staff was nice and restocking was going on with out bothering any customers.Defiantly we be returning much sooner.

It has alot of organic whole food items. Boars head items, which you can't find anywhere.I love the variety and how easy to find things. Clean. Need more open check outs with people working 😉Love love love the variety but not the price. Lol.Something for every one.

Good quality fresh vegetables.Shopped here for the last five years. Their digital coupons on the app are awesome. Their weekly ad is also really good. You have to be careful on the receipt because sometimes the coupons don’t work even after you have added it to the card.

It's a grocery store. It's always busy and the parking lot is miserable.The produce selection is great. The new layout is terrible.No more plastic bags, except all of the produce bags, and now we have to pay for paper bags. Or just use all of the giant produce bags when you check out.

Kroger is conveniently located, though parking can sometimes be difficult on busy days. The produce and meat usually looks great, with many local options. The staff is very helpful, but there is often an emphasis to drive customers to the self checkout kiosks, instead of opening more registers. This is only a problem when a customer has a large cart full of groceries. Lastly, don't forget to bring your reusable bags inside!

Wife sends clicket list early this morning to get 4x fuel points earliest can pick up is 6pm. Then Kroger calls and says they cant get our order done at all today. MGR says nothing they can do about losing the fuel points. Poor customer service no effort to make it right. We wont be back

Not only is it impossible to find what you’re looking for anymore (because they’ve moved it 3 times), but they apparently can’t keep their prices straight either, and they make the customer pay for their mistakes.The price tag on the beer said $8.99. The register said $9.99. I asked a manager if he could make it right. He refused, saying they “can’t give discounts on alcohol.” I’m not asking for a discount, my dude. I’m asking you to sell me something for the price that’s on the shelf. If you couldn’t price override, you could have handed me a dollar bill out of the register. Ridiculous.

On Sunday, November 12, 2023, though 61 years old, Kroger "policy" would not allow them to sell me alcohol with ID that just that day was valid for air travel in the US. I showed the young female a valid temporary Missouri drivers license (with picture), and my (voided) NC license to back it up. At first, the story was that because it was not a Federal RealID, it was unacceptable. RealID, of course is a federal program to start in 2025 to require a higher level of security by setting a national standard for accessing transportation infrastructure (via TSA). Kroger appears negligent in training their folks on REAL ID, and that a federally issued ID is not required in Ohio to buy alcohol. Subsequently, Adam, the assistant manager on duty, changed his tune and said my temporary (paper) Missouri DL was not acceptable because it was on paper (despite my NC non-expired ID). I did get my single bottle of wine only after going to my car to retrieve my Passport!!!!Ohio law, section 4301.22 states that no alcohol may be sold to anyone under 21. It DOES NOT state any requirements for checking ID. This is purely policy set by someone in Kroger. It is unfortunate that Kroger chooses to harass folks with grey hair and wrinkles in this way. I encourage you to take your business elsewhere.

Excelent shopping. It's like a whole diffrent world inside Kroger. So much good stuff to choose from both healthy and devilishly tempting. Great prices, clean and always a friendly smile from their workers. And this Kroger has a Starbucks in it!

Discrimination and racism! I wanted to transfer some money back home and lady asked me to who and where. I replied that please to the same country and the same person in the system. She asked 3times and I replied 3times…I asked her You can’t find the information in the system? She said “Do you think I am a liar”. I said no I don’t. You said it by yourself….(did I imply?). The manager jumped in and wanted to call the security to take me out by the case of trespassing…. The manager said I was so rude???? Was I? I experienced with these ladies two times and I felt the discomfort, discrimination and racism. I will note it for my life.

I shopped at the store for years so I hate leaving a negative review. The layout rearrangement is just too much. Finding things is confusing, and it's frustrating to have to inconvenience a store associate to ask for help finding items constantly. The logic of the layout doesn't really make sense either (for example, I went to one end of the store to get all my other frozen food, then had to go to the opposite side for one bag of frozen vegetables). Particularly in the frozen section, it makes the store feel much smaller and more congested. It's an overwhelming experience and I wonder if I might just be better off switching to Aldi or Walmart.

Much better than the only other Major grocery chain Walmart!! I called Walmart told me they had no Minnie mouse cakes I'm sure they did and didn't look but I called Kroger they said yes and more than one so I went in to look they had a couple with decorations and a lot of photo cakes very cute ones I picked one and asked if they could add decorative pink polkadot bows like Minnie's hair bows around the corners she said probably I'm sure they'll put them on there had the entire thing ordered and paid for within 10 minutes. The store was clean the person that was running the self checkout had to print an extra receipt one goes back to the bakery he was very pleasant and nice knew exactly what and how to do that I love this Kroger plus you can get hard liquor such as whiskey, bourbon, vodka all in Kroger

The problem I had with this place is the cashiers and everybody knew what I was doing but instead of telling me that I couldn’t cash out when I took my coins and put it in a receipt for cash instead of stopping me and telling me that they can’t cash it out today they let me put my money in their machine and then I try to cash it and then tell me that they can’t do it. This place is becoming a joke. I probably won’t ever go to Kroger’s again. They tell me that after the fact, when I can’t give me my money back.

When I shop at kroger, I trust it. I never check the price. But, today, I have been overcharged the items. They are on sale, but the Cashier just scan as regular price. Maybe, the price has not been updated. Now, I have to double check the price when I shop at Kroger next time.

They keep slightly increasing the prices of products. A Kroger like this one probably makes millions a month, especially when the students return to town. No excuse will come close to being rational enough when it comes to unnecessary price increases, so please don’t try to explain one if anyone takes the time to read this, I’ll just give a rational response that ends with some sort of synonym for the word greedy.Edit: Kroger corporate sometimes forgets that they are a grocery store in a smallish town and will almost definitely never go out of business. This is also because of a new batch of customers that come to town every new school year. My point is, their workers aren’t paid enough, and Kroger will worry about losing customers as one of the reasons to not pay their employees more. It’s a little embarrassing. And, again, if anyone reads this and wants to respond in argument, there is no rational proof to change my mind. Increased prices out of Krogers control can’t be a good answer either since this Kroger makes unbelievable money weekly. It’s just greed. We must be better than this.
