Athens ohio has a horrible store. I've never been treated so bad at a retail place where I spend my money quite frequently. Ive probably tried shoes and boots on here I don't know 14 times since it's been open so today I try a pair of shoes on that I had every intention on purchasing they were 20 bucks and a witchy lady working was trying to go trying to steal asked me to put my shoes back on like I was going to walk out with their shoes. The shoes I was wearing cost double with the ones that I wanted were I'm not a thief and don't appreciate being treated as such so they will be getting my business anymore and if you ever want to try anything on I wouldn't go there either. I get it there bad people out there but you shouldn't just assume everyone is I have a wallet full of money to spend. Guess I'll be going somewhere where they know how to treat their customers.

I like this store. However it seems like they are getting rid of Nike. I looked all over and only found one rack of random Nike stuff at the Athens Ohio location. But all in all, I use this store a lot with both my kids being in sports and my husband being an outdoorsman

I normally do not have a bad experience here, but I went in a couple days before Christmas and was looking at a gun for my son. The kid working there was helping someone else, so I patiently waited. I heard him say "You're welcome have a good day" I turned around and he was gone. I assumed he had went in back for something. 15 minutes later I bought a hoodie and left. They missed out on a sale of atleast 600.00 before taxes. They must have made enough money that day. 🤷‍♀️

Brett was absolutely amazing helping my husband and I with a gun purchase. I couldn’t have imagined finding a more knowledgeable person. He spent plenty of time with us to ensure he had a good understanding of our needs in order to provide us with suggestions. I would highly recommend Dunham’s Sports especially if Brett is available!!

I try to come here as much as i can even though im a hour away. I always have a great experience here untill the last time i went. A worker was very rude and not willing to help. He walked by and we asked for a price on a gun that my boyfriend wanted to get his father for Christmas. We never got the price and he made some rude comments also. I work retail and understand that it can be hard and i am not sure what happened but it was very unprofessional when your on the floor for this company with a attitude like that. It will be awhile before i come back. Very disappointing.

Went here to grab some women's track spikes in a size 9- 9 1/2. Smallest size they had was a men's 10. Not a great variety went it came down to the women's or their track shoes. Service was okay bit the man didn't seem very enthusiastic about talking to us (I don't expect them to be ♡).

Dunham's Sports has a diverse selection of sporting and outdoor goods, including tons of apparel, hunting, camping, and fishing gear. The prices tend to be high, but they run deals that make them worthwhile.my partner and I recently purchased kayaks at Dunham's and two staff member carried the boats out to our car. Also, they were quick to find opportunities to help us save money on such a large purchase at the cash register. Overall, great customer service.

1 3/4 hrs to buy a pistol with no one else in line & is all I had to do was the background check. Never had this issue with any other place I have purchased a gun. Will never buy anything from here again & will NOT RECOMMEND.

On the door it says “best prices guaranteed”, on the website it says they price match. When asked to price match you get treated rudely and told “we don’t do that”. Hard enough to find anyone that works there. Definitely wouldn’t recommend supporting this business.

I really like this store. They have a huge variety of things including camping, sports wear, specially sports (like cleats and uniform padding) various back pack bag options, script t-shirts, college logo, kids toys, just time off great stuff at good prices.Clearance is wonderful.Store is clean and help us located at the doors.

Not very impressed with this store. The merchandise is jammed together and the aisles are narrow. The prices were high although they did have some good sales items, and the merchandise was neatly displayed. My biggest problem is they don't carry Marlington merchandise and technically they are in Marlington District. I could be wrong about that but if not in the district, they're very close. Fortunately, there is at least one other store in Alliance that carries what I needed.

The employees were helpful and polite the sales were good and the discounts were even better. If you don't have dunham's email subscription then you should really sign up because it is free and they always send coupons and other great deals..thanks Dunham's..

Staff has very little intrest in providing customer service and has attitude when service is requested. Unfortunately they are not very knowledgeable about the products they sell and they have corporate policies that refuse to help people who are not local with assistance and treat them like garbage.I used to spend money here but will no longer spend a cent here on their over priced products and horrible corporate policies and employees who don't know anything about the products besides what is in the catalog description and they try to bs the customer. Also staff are hard to locate if you need help or have questions. Walmart has better staff who know the products they sell and have better prices and less bs.I have no problem going here to look at products and then go online or to Walmart across the street to purchase since the staff do not deserve my money when they have attitudes about helping the customer and responding to questions about the questions about their products and policies that are discriminatory when they are not the only store around and lose a ton of money because of their politics and policies.Maybe one day they will change the policies and hire a knowledgeable staff that can actually help a customer and make a sale instead of alienating customers who purchase elsewhere .

Went to buy a home gym and was told the current available stock had a rain check and the display was damaged. I asked when new stock would arrive and was told they do not know when they will get stuff! and she did not bother asking anymore questions. I then spoke to the Manager on duty I asked if a raincheck meant that the person did not pay for the item yet; he stated that they had 30 days to pay for it. i said that is a stupid policy as I am willing to pay for it right now.Very disrespectful and un-concerned with customer interactions Very poorly managed!

They apparently like to sell you things they don't have in stock....been waiting 10 days for kayaks I ordered and they have no idea how much longer I'll be waiting....didn't have a problem taking the money for the kayaks tho

The nice thing about this store, it seems to have items I shop for when others places I have shopped either it wasn't in stock, or couldn't even order for me because the supplier was out of stock. Each time I need something they always seem to have it, and it saves me a lot of time and money driving all over Athens looking. Dunham's could use a few more employees to help through.

This is the worst store ever. I will never step foot in that store again. I have been in there several times and each time I went I left with disgust. The staff is unknowledged. They treat you like your a piece of dirt. I bought a gun in there and it took 2 hours (normaly takes about 15min). several times I was disrespected by staff when looking at guns. Again this is the worst store in Athens, OH please please don't step foot in there.

Cashier left security tag on a shirt so i had to drive 30 + miles back to have it removed then we shopped there again and they didnt give us our paintballs we bought didnt realize anything till we got home so again had to drive back to athens dunhams to get paintballs watch when you checkout keep your eyes on em

This place is crammed with stuff. I can barely walk thru the store without knocking something over. ...and yet they never have what I am looking for. Consistently, the employees have been rude and do not seem interested in helping the customer.If you look at my reviews, I am not one to judge harshly, or write rude. Their firearm selection is MEH and really over priced. Same as there ammo. You pay $5 to $10 more on ammo then at other stores. Its like playing Where's Waldo when trying to find a worker here. The girl working the cash register today was very cold. If you don't like your job check to see if one of the coffee shops up town are hiring so you can serve coffee and read your poems to everyone during poetry hour.

This store is so unfriendly, so non customer service its sad. Employees walk past u not say anything, not even acknowledge ur there.i was shopping for a firearm no one around so I asked for help.was told I will send someone back.15 mine went by I go back to the front ,told he will be back.then he comes back I'm standing looking at firearms counter, he dosen't even talk to me and leaves after 5mins

Nice store but power went out no generator to cash people out they had run out customers and lock doors happened 2x in less than a week had to drive out of town to get sporting goods
