Very disappointed in the customer service here. One day I had called about a prescription I needed pretty immediately and my call dropped. Normally that’s not a big deal except that no one even attempted to give me a call back and when I returned the call right away, no one answered and I was on hold for 20 minutes before I decided to cut my loss as I only waited an extra 5 minutes after the website said they closed. They never attempted to call me back at all even over the next two days. When I finally did get my prescription in order and went to pick it up, they did not have it ready 2 hours after they said it would be ready. I get things get busy, but the lack of communication is ridiculous. Not to mention, I’m writing this review as I am standing in the long line still waiting to get my prescription. Been standing here for 10 minutes and counting…. So be prepared for this pharmacy to not respect your time.

There are many other options in Athens, OH of pharmacies, do yourself a favor and choose another. The person in front of me was expecting 3 scripts filled, got 2 has to return for the 3rd. The person behind me got part one of his prescriptions and had to wait on the other. My prescription was wrong for the 3rd time. When I pointed out the error was on their part, I was blown off. AND I still did not receive the number of pills the doctor (oncologist) had written the prescription for. I was told I could come back next week.Wrong number of pills 3 times in a row, and terrible customer service. I am not returning and recommend others also choose another pharmacy.

NEVER answer their phone, have the RUDEST employees, and NEVER have prescriptions ready even if you wait HOURS after it has been called into them. It's absolutely ridiculous how they are incapable of doing their jobs they get paid to do. They even send you texts saying you have prescriptions ready then when you go to pick them up surprise they aren't ready and don't know what you are talking about. This establishment is awful.

I’m sure this won’t be taken seriously, but whoever runs this specific CVS - you need to really re-evaluate your employees, especially those running the pharmacy. I shouldn’t get the window shut in my face when asking a question. I also shouldn’t be constantly spoken over and interrupted. Any questions for the pharmacist? Oh wait, we don’t care, let me just slam this window in your face and not even tell you to have a good day. Seriously? Find some people with some common decency. Every single time I come through I end up dealing with someone rude. Having a bad day? Don’t take it out on people who are trying to be nice to you. That is all. Clean house. Hire nicer people.

This place is a disaster. Out of the past five visits I have yet to just walk in to the pharmacy and Walk out with a simple vaccination or prescription, which I place online ahead of time. You have to ask about coupons, to get a fair price, you have to come back because your stuff is not ready. The people at the pharmacy are friendly and helpful but are super busy, probably understaffed. This time CVS struggled with the insurance company copay which is an unreasonable $100 for the RSV vaccination. Between the blue Cross copay and the normal chaos here, it was challenging.

It is 6:11 p.m. I call twice and get hung up on after someone answers and says CVS the pharmacy is closed and hangs up. Says they close at 10 on a Friday night...... Hhmmmmmm

Although I've used this pharmacy for several years because of convenience, I decided to go elsewhere today. My dentist called in a prescription and I went to pick it up after two hours (they are slow filling prescriptions) and was told they never received the prescription. I was there when the office called it in and then was present when the dental office called to see if it was ready (not yet). Anyway, I called the dental office and had them call in the prescription to another pharmacy, Shrivers. This pharmacy had it ready in 15 minutes. Goodbye, CVS.

I went to this particular cvs pharmacy 8 yrs ago. And wow, it's really gone down hill! I just had some scripts transferred and after 5 days I'm still missing a theraputic dose of a mood stabilizer, antidepressant medication and my diabetic medicine.This pharmacy will eventually kill someone because they are the worst and don't know what they're doing.It just needs shut down. It's a hazard to people's actual health. You don't play games with much needed medicationToday I was on hold for over 20min.I called the main customer service and filed a complaint.Who is running this Garbage pharmacy?I say boycott this place. Before they kill a customer.Do not go here ever. I'm looking for another place after only 5 days.They really just need sued.

I’ve had good experiences with the rest of the store but the last time I had photos printed there the printer was messed up and left white streaks on the pictures. This time I decided to get some picture magnets and the quality was not there. I could have made these on my own for cheaper…it’s just a printed photo stuck to a magnet sheet. I had to trim them down myself. It always seems like they’re understaffed and maybe that’s why? I can understand it being too much to help customers and print orders

I am now waking up to day 2 of my back and shoulder being extremely messed up because the cashier was completely incapable of her basic task. Holding a toddler for what should be a 2 minute situation for instead 30 minutes most likely. 20 minutes at the least. I live nearby but I will never set foot in here again. Ever. Jobs are scarce and I'm not usually harsh but I don't know if it's worth having that girl work there. Good luck to y'all.

It has been my experience that the pharmacy is not very helpful. One of the younger male pharmacists acts like he don't understand the male anatomy very well. His advice and recommendation was a bit absurd. In fact I wonder if he was trying to be a wise guy. Either way it was not helpful. He made the effort to come out from behind the counter, so for that I'll give him 2 stars. Not impressed with the level of service or care.

Rudest, most incompetent, unknowable group of unprofessionals you’ll ever deal with. I won’t go on about my 69 year old mothers horror story with these folks. Just thankful she has 4 competent and intelligent daughters to advocate for her, all 4 of which have backgrounds in healthcare; from Registered Nurse/Airline Pilot, Physicians Assistant, Phycologist/IT Advisor, and Surgeon. To those that don’t have family members to advocate for you, beware, please go somewhere else!

For some reason, 95% of the time I have to physically show up to ask where my Adderall is. Usually they type on a computer for a bit and are “oh yeah, when do you want it?” Now that there’s a shortage of it, they can’t even bother to let you know they’re out of it. They’d be perfectly content to let you go months without it as opposed to letting you know they’re out. Also, they never answer the phone. Go to Holzer instead.

I often come to this CVS for pictures because I scrapbook. It is clean and well organized, however there are some good and a bad employees. One cashier with glasses and brown hair is very rude I forget her name. But the cashier Tom is very nice every time! So at least they’re not all bad!

Never again and I'm definitely calling up the company and filing a major complaint might possibly sue for the negligence and the fact that they turned away my service because they said I was being abusive just for asking on more information on what to do with covid and picking up medicines when I directly got out the hospital and yes I have had all my vaccines and no fever. So I went to drive thru as directed and they denied all my prescriptions from the hospital and now having to drive a long distance to another pharmacy with a drive through...if only they were direct in the first place they decided to say I was rude when I wasn't at all instead they were actually rude since I got to the desk without even knowing any information. And Yes I had a mask on the whole time. And yes I have covid along with strep throat and bronchitis.Safe to say if I get hospitalized because I couldn't get my medicine best believe I'm suing this cvs on east state street.I highly do not recommend going to this cvs.

I used to think this pharmacy was reliable, but have recently had a series of disappointing customer service experiences. In one instance, I was receiving text messages confirming a prescription was ready when it was not. The staff assured me they could have the prescription ready within an hour, and five hours later it still wasn’t done. At this point it’s too much of an inconvenience to use this pharmacy.

I went into this CVS today to buy a gallon of water. The employee at the desk just talked to the customers in front of me about the rewards program and didn’t even begin to ring them up until after she convinced them to buy it. I stood there for 40 minutes. As if this wasn’t bad enough, by the time I got home I realized the SEALED water had a hole in it and it had completely soaked my back seats!I go to this CVS all the time and it is understaffed, resulting in poor quality control and a nightmare of a checkout.I walked in expecting water and got an hour of my time wasted and a soaked car.

I had to go here one night because I was having an asthma attack. I was having a hard time finding them and eventually one of the workers came out of hiding but only to ask if I had a mask, I did but I couldn't put it on while having an asthma attack or it would have restricted my breathing even more than it already was. I asked politely if she could help me find them and she told me no and walked off becauseI couldn'tput on a mask. Eventually I found them but the point is rather than ringing me up for the inhaler, she could have been calling an ambulance. Terrible service.

They never seem to have the right medication in stock. Customer service in the pharmacy has always been poor. This is probably our least favorite pharmacy in Athens. I would consider instead Shrivers Pharmacy on West Union in Athens, Ohio.

Today I wanted to return an item with a receipt and was told I couldn’t return unless the card I used to purchase the item was present. My wife purchased the item with her card the day before. I had my card tied to the same checking account but was not permitted to return the item. I couldn’t believe they wouldn’t process my return with the receipt present. This tells me they are more concerned with their bottom line than customer support. Our family has been talking about switching to a smaller family owned pharmacy and this was the straw that broke the camels back. I told the manager about my frustration as the desire to switch pharmacies after 10 plus years and he could care less. I am happy to say we are switching pharmacies and will no longer have to deal with their corporate policies and congested traffic on east state.

Terrible pharmacy I had CVS for years and switched because the service at this location was so bad. The staff is constantly rude, when you try to call in they literally put you on hold for 20 min just to hang up on you. When my perscription card limit ended the clerk that answered me said they never saw it on my account. When I asked them to check again they told me it wasn't too late to unenroll at cvs and to find another pharmacy. Don't be fooled this place is awful.

If you need a prescription filled, don't go here! Came in to get my prescription filled, the assistant doesn't even know how to run my insurance and made me pay $80 for meds that should have been free. Called my insurance company and they didn't even TRY to run my insurance. Can't even get anyone to answer the phone to get my $80 back. Literally the worst pharmacy in Athens. Go to the drugstore at Oblennes. NEVER had this problem anywhere else.Oh and bonus! They didn't even give me the right type of meds! They're idiots!

I have had to wait for over an hour at this pharmacy multiple times. The staff is very disorganized and they don't communicate well with each other. One staff member will tell you one thing and have you go wait and then when you go back up another staff member tells you they didn't even know your prescriptions needed to be filled. It's very chaotic and even calling ahead doesn't help since they either don't answer the phone or they answer and then tell you that they didn't know you had called once you get there. Also, half the time they don't even notify you when one of your prescriptions can't be filled if you're trying to fill more than one and you don't know until you get home and open the bag.

If I could give their pharmacy 0 stars I would. I will NEVER be filling my prescriptions through them again. This is the second time they have messed up my prescriptions. On Sunday I went to an urgent care center and tested positive for strand B of influenza. I had my Tamiflu (the prescription for influenza) along with 2 other prescriptions sent to CVS to be filled. I go pick them up, then get home and realize they didn't give me the Tamiflu, the most important prescription I needed. I called and told them it was missing and they said they were out of it. NO ONE told me they were out of it at the store. They told me I could call Kroger and check with them to see if they have it. The person I spoke with on the phone was not concerned about me getting my Tamiflu in the least. I should have been notified when I picked up the other 2 prescriptions that they were out. They should have taken care of finding it for me, but did they? NO. I had to go on a wild goose chase to hunt down the Tamiflu from Kroger. So I had to pay a friend to run back out and get my Tamiflu for me because I was so miserable from the virus I did not have the energy to run back out again. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE INCOMPETANT PHARMACY WORKERS!

It's always challenging when someone close has health concerns. The staff at this pharmacy made it worse with their rudeness and sloppiness. Go get the GoodRx app to see it is the most expensive in town as well. Avoid this place. They've lost my business for life in the last week alone. Truly disappointing.

Many thanks to the young man with long blue hair and the pharmacist today.... The system was new, the computers caused a commotion, but they hung in there with a smile on their face until I got my booster shot. I'm very grateful.
