Overall, great experiences every time. We are apple to stock up on a lot of cereal bars, pastas, teas, and essentials for pretty cheap, which helps the pocket book. The ONLY negative experience was when we went to checkout about a week ago, and this girl gave us a lecture for wanting to use our email instead of name and phone number to look up rewards stuff. She kept harping on it the whole time she checked us out. She'd be the only reason I wouldn't shop there again because of her horrible attitude. But, once again, overall super nice people and store.

Big Lots is the perfect place to go when you just can't find what you are looking for anywhere else. At Big Lots, I always find something I like and it's usually for a good price. Sometimes things are not of the highest quality, so be sure to check out everything before you buy. That is the nature of any discount store though. I would recommend Big Lots for any random weekend shopping.

I like Big Lots. They have nice furniture. But their TV stands are so high priced. I found a tablecloth with ice cream and ice cream trucks on it. I had to get it. It reminded me of my daughter when she would hear the ice cream truck 🚛. She would hollar and take off running for it. A good memory.

Anyone that lives and shops in Athens and surrounding towns know of Big Lots in been a fixture on State street a long time. And in the last 10 or so years its really cleaned up a lot but its prices and getting out of control, It was and still is a good store with good employees but watch the prices and see what you all think.

A nice store but too much stuff. I cannot always find what I'm looking for or the product that was advertised. And it's hard to find the help to ask questions. We usually have to go to the cashier and wait and or but in for your turn to ask for something might be. Otherwise not enough floor people

Athens store has a very rude person working in the furniture department. Her name is Christina vannest. We bought a mattress set and she would not help us load it. She just told me very rudely that I needed to pick it up. That was my first experience with this lady , My second experience was bad also. She acted like she didn't even want to wait on me and when she did finally acknowledged me she was rude. I don't do rude very well. I will definitely think again before buying anything from their furniture Dept again.

Good prices to be had here in comparison with other local retailers on some items. Wide variety of merchandise such as furniture, clothing, home goods, food items, toys, tools, seasonal merchandise and electronics. Good markdowns on sale and clearance items. Watch via email signup or web site. Also has a rewards club.

I went to the store up and down aisle constantly looking at earbuds and cell phone stuff they had there had discounts and a whole aisle of discounted cell phone cagits, n another full aisle of cell phone things like earbuds chargers just all kinds of things for cell phones and I got stuck looking through that aisle, then went around the corner n another aisle of marked down Cell phone stuff, found my puppy a nice plaid black n white n red checkered fleece full body outfit so cute ten bucks I'm going back next week for it. All kinds of things to get n very low prices. And out of all that I looked at I end up getting food and I have a big lots rewards card I use everytime. Love to shop here

Its a big lots, so not much to write about. The food may or may not be outdated, but if you want some amazingly strong discounted cleaning products, this is your place.Dont bother trying to get christmas lights here though, walmart had them beat on those prices and quality.However, I will say that their selection of nifty little gifts was pretty impressive. From the hot chocolate kits in a mug to the samples of hotsauce collections, the prices were decent and quality didn't look too bad.I also thoroughly recommend getting one of the all in one foot tools here too. They're only about a dollar but you can grate, buff, scrub, and exfoliate all with one handy tool. Throw blankets are nice too, but after a wash or two they tend to either shrink hardcore or fall apart.Its a discount store, you get what you pay for.

Athens Big Lots is a neat place. They always have odds and ends that I may or may not be looking for. I usually find something cool in here to buy. Staff have always been friendly.
