This location has improved in the past three months. I used to avoid going here because it was a mess and it used to take a long time to get thru the check-out line. It's still a little messy but not like before when they were leaving big box carts in the middle of the aisles, and they've hired more people so the check-out process is quicker now. I'm always greeted with a friendly "hello" now too!

I walked out.Line was ridiculously long and not moving. I tripped over this metal signage sticking out and twisted my ankle. I didn’t see it coming from the other way around the corner.

I always try to find something good to place in a review but what I just witnessed on 8-26-2017 is unacceptable, there's a very long line of people waiting to check out .....the cashier is waiting on people as fast as she can while calling for her boss to open the second register to help get people checked out so everyone would not have to wait in line. Mind you her boss is like 8 feet away .....this ladies boss completely ignores her doesn't say a thing and just walks away. Everyone in line spoke up and said we clearly heard you ask for help don't worry you got this...Dollar General hire a customer service oriented person to run your store you'll be much better off!! I'm updating this review as the management has gotten much better. Thanks for the change for the better!

Horrible horrible experience with management.. casually mentioned that prices did not match the shelf and the register... Manager started getting irate telling me there was an IGA down the street... Thanks for the advice and I hope other people will do the same... There is also another Dollar general in South Bloomfield... Please try to avoid this Ashville store

I asked if they had liquid white out. The girl stocking light bulbs stated that it was in the back and she would stock it tomorrow. Instead of being ignorant and not getting what I need now, maybe she should just lie and say that the store is currently out of stock. I haven't heard good things about this store in town and now I understand why!

Store is in complete disarray. Stock carts litter and block almost every aisle, shelves are in disorder.The odor inside is foul and in places overwhelming.I suggest avoiding this location completely until the staffing and management return it to a fit for public condition

I go into this store regularly and it is very hard to find what you need most of the time. They never have anything stocked and boxes that need to be stocked just laying on the floor in the middle of the isles. Then when you actually do find what you need you have to wait in the checkout lane for a half hour because there is only ever one person running a register. The owner needs to get his butt in gear and get it straightened out. Either get rid of the employees you have or raise your wages so that they work harder and you can get more than one person at a time to work. Otherwise sell the place. So aggravating!!

Almost everytime I go in here there is five or six people waiting in line. Today there was one girl working the cash register, the line to check out was almost to the back of the store. The other employee was outside smoking while everyone had to wait an unacceptable amount of time to check out. I have witnessed the employees outside smoking on two other occasions while customers had to wait. This Dollar General is nothing like the store a few miles away in South Bloomfield. It's worth driving a few more miles to shop at that store.

This location is terrible compared to others. It is always cluttered and messy. Last time I was there, last week, was not even given all that I purchased. Didn't notice until I got home- about 10-15 miles away. Called, no apology. Just acknowledged it was there. Won't be back at this location in Ashville.

I have only been here a few times but each time the checkout lines were ridiculously long. The cashiers were friendly and helpful but the wait is too long. They do have a huge variety of items.

I travel a lot in Ohio and stop at Dollar Generals a lot!! This is the BEST location of all by FAR!! The atmosphere is always great, the store is usually busy but they bust their tails to get you rung up and done quickly, the store is clean including restrooms and they also work hard to keep everything stocked. I don't say this bc I live there (I actually live in Lancaster) but bc I have 40 years retail management experience and can't help but observe. I make it a point to stop each time I drive through which is at least weekly! Well done and congrats!!

This store is always a mess never is the floor cleared of stocking. Always atleast 1 stock truck per aisle and piles of empty card board boxes. If this store literally wasn't less than a thousand yards from my house I'd drive the twenty minutes to Walmart.

Always love to shop at dollar general for all my needs rather it's school related or products for home decorating cleaning cooking and even down to the kids play clothes gifts and much more all at reasonable prices makup the dollar generals makup brand is amazing also and now even has skincare products

Checkout is generally slow and they run out of stock frequently. Convenient but seems like every third time I go I end up leaving to go someplace else to get the item I wanted.

Very poor service. The cashier didn’t say hi or thank you. He pointed to the register he was at. Didn’t ask if I found everything ok. No excuse for this kind of behavior. And he acted like I had bothered him for even coming up to the register.

This particular Dollar General is probably the best one I've been to. The staff are more than helpful, courteous and friendly. Take your ID if you're going to get cigarettes

I'm 50 years old and couldn't buy a bic lighter because I didn't have ID! How completely ignorant is that!!!!!! It's obvious that I am 2 1/2 over the legal age. Use some common sense! Dumbass!!!! Oh, I also stood at front register for 10 minutes waiting on somebody to check me out! Pretty pathetic visit! Nothing good to say about any of it!

I had a Good experience at this store I found Grass seed that I needed for a bare spot in my yard, also found HummingBird feed. They have a nice outdoor section there stop by and Take a look.

Clean store and friendly staff. Not professional, but friendly.Isles are a bit messy and small, but aren't hard to navigate when it's not busy. There is usually only 1 cashier so expect a wait.
