Lots of cool pets like tropical fish 🐟, birds 🐦, tarantulas , lizards, and turtles. Friendly staff. reasonable prices. Stop by and check out the gator. There is a cage with nice size tortoises inside. Need mealworms for your pet lizard or feeder fish for your larger fish decent prices on those as well.

Very knowledgeable people here any questions?They know the answers. Learned how to tell if my turtle is a boy or girl. And how to take care of it properly. Always have what we need for all our little critters.

This pet store is amazing! The staff is incredible! I have been there several times with a million questions regarding a frog we rescued in January. We chipped her out of some ice & she thawed out & came back to life. We have her until it's warm enough to release her. Every single employee at the store has offered advice, help & goes above & beyond for every inquiry I have. The store is always well kept, the fish & animals all look healthy & happy. Especially the big goldfish who seem generally excited when you walk by their tanks. LoL! It's great to have a small business in town who seems to have a passion not only for the animals but also their customers! You won't be disappointed here! (And your kids will love the giant enclosure at the front of the store with the tortoises & giant iguanas!)

I find it very sad the way they keep some of the animals, specifically the guinea pigs. Guinea pigs are social animals and no humane pet shop would ever be willing to sell just one as they will get depressed and die. They also put the guinea pigs in a box that had very obviously been previously used heavily for mice or some other animals as it was covered in droppings. Guinea pigs should not be kept in tiny 1x2 cages either I’m just very disappointed overall with the treatment of the animals at this store. In addition to all of this they also do not meet the dietary needs of the guineas either as guinea pigs need most of their diet to be hay, they have only pellets and water which is very unhealthy for the guinea pigs. Just really disappointing.

Bought 3 fish one died within 2 hours of having it, went in for a refund they asked for the body of the fish and a sample of the water😂 tried to make me sound stupid for not already bringing that, was extremely rude the whole time, and refused to give me a refund. Had terrible service everytime I’ve came in. And there was roaches crawling around the store.

I like this place a lot, I needed a UV cleaner for my aquarium and they are the only place that had it in stock. My water is crystal clear, now.Their fish are better quality than what you find in the chain stores, and there is a huge selection. I will definitely return.

Went there looking to buy my 11yr old son a frog and asked some young girl about a frog that my son was interested in like what does the frog need to survive? She starts showing me and I start picking up the items. Then she just walks away and I'm thinking in my head that she was going to get something that I needed but instead she comes out of the room that she had walked into and totally ignores me so I just say "well I'll just buy everything online and go to a different pet store for the frog" . It was such a unpleasant visit. I will never go back and I suggest if you have never been in there,,,don't go there.

Me and my husband were in the area from out of town, we are huge reptile lovers and try to check out new pet shops when we are in town. The store definitely had a lot of variety and supplies, however we were completely appalled by the condition of the leopard geckos they were selling. They honestly looked on the verge of death. Completely skin and bones, no fat on their tails at all, and a lot of stuck shed. They need vet care of more than likely won’t survive. I hope they get these babies taken care of it completely saddens me. Especially because they have potential to be a great shop.

I have gotten hamsters from here when I was little, I got a Guinea pig from there about 5-6 years ago and she had just passed this year. I got a bearded dragon from here this year and he is absolutely amazing. The staff if friendly and helpful also. It would be nice to have a website to see what everything is priced as, apart from animals. I think you should go in the store to see them and the pricing since there is so many different animals. I feel like it would be easier to look online at prices for things. Not necessarily to order the stuff but sometimes it's easier instead of going into the store just to see how much something is. Not hate and everything is well in there!!

We were visiting our kids and stopped by chance. They have a nice fish selection for a small store. Their tanks are clean and the fish we purchased are beautiful and healthy.

My experience here was quite lack luster to say the least. When I went in for the first time I was greeted with coldness. The staff were unfriendly and not very helpful. I purchased a couple fish from here and a five gallon tank just to start up. Not even two days later the fish were dead and the tank filter stopped working. When I went in to address the issue I was told that some of the fish had become ill with sickness, doing further research I found out that my fish had parasites on it which caused its scales to flake off and lose colour. This store knew full well selling me a faulty tank with a broken filter and fish that were inevitably going to die. I do not recommend this place do to my experience. I trusted the reviews but I was met with a different experience. I wasn't even compensated for the experience after it had happened. Keep this in mind when purchasing pets and equipment from this store.

Very rude and treat people horribly. Had my 3yr old niece in there and the employee went to go grab for her arm and was screaming at her while husband was holding a pet! Then after she rolled her eyes and gave a nasty look they are very horrible customer service and sell pets that are very sick I will never by another pet there again I’m shocked my ferret I bought is still living. They need to be shut down they don’t care for there pets t don’t ever recommend going there. Where rude enployees go out town for a nice pet that will be worth your money….

Nice shop with more aquarium livestock than I expected to see. Even have an alligator (permanent resident I think). Great store and knowledgeable staff. Have some monster fish of you're into that. Good selection of saltwater animals. Great selection of small mammals, birds, and reptiles.

I want to start off saying that I love the staff here. They have a nice selection of critters and fish. I do however dislike the way some of the animals are kept. The rats I bought from them were unfortunately sick from the glass tanks they keep them in. If they would make a couple changes I would rate them higher. Store could be cleaner as well.

The store was immaculate. Every tank was well kept and as I was talking to an employee , she let me know every day of the week a different section of the fish area is cleaned. Everyone was so helpful. Everything is reasonably priced as well.

Don't let the small doors fool you, this place is huge and well-kept. The store is clean and the animals are all incredibly well-cared-for. We go for pinkies, crickets, and their large meal worms for our bearded dragons and ball pythons. All the feeders are well priced and phenomenal quality. You'll see well cared for breeds you can't find anywhere else, and it's always cool to look around even when we're just there for food.This is a stand-out place in Ashtabula. Very proud of everyone who made such a great experience possible.

For a small shop they have an abundance of fish to select from. Our daughter loved looking at all the fish!. The lady that helped us knew so much about each fish and how they even act combined with different ones. Our last fish we got died because certain ones were agressive.... but know that she told us which ones get along... we have each fish still!! Will be going back!

They are about as weird as myself, it's a lovely place to visit you're not pestered and for me that's great I'm kind of an introvert. Lovely people very knowledgeable and just a great shop.

Staff is friendly. They always have ferret food when I did it and other supplies. They improved and remodeled the interior of the store and it looks a whole lot better and open. More space and a nicer looking store. Some animals could use bigger cages like the chinchillas and rabbits but they are clean. Good variety of animals(reptiles, fish, small animals and more).

I bought a rabbit from them less then a month ago it was covered in fleas and was really skinny as if they only fed them to keep them alive till someone bought them well mine died this morning after fighting fleas and having to give him bath after bath and that still didn't help I called them to see what they would do about it and they told me that there was nothing that they could do even tho the rabbit was sick when I got it

Edgewood Pet Center has very helpful and knowledgable staff. So far, all of the employees I have met are kind and answer any questions I have. The store has a large variety of reptiles and fish, as well as a handful of rodents and rabbits. My only complaint is that the items in the store are highly overpriced, I can find the same exact item online on Chewy for half the price of the item in the store. For this reason, I just stick to purchasing live animals and food in store and the supplies needed online. Overall, Edgewood Pet Center is a great store, and I love to support a local business!
