The store inside is great! Items are still in the same place. The clearance items have moved but to a better location. I love this store. Always clean and always greeted with smiles! ☺️ I always buy my meat and deli from here!!❤️ Can't wait for the smoker!!!

Love this place for fresh meat!Gerwig's has really good meat.They have a ground pork sausage that we buy in both bulk and sandwich sized patties.This sausage is very flavorful but is not too salty.Most sausage is extremely salty so we gave up on buying it until we found Gerwig's.The staff here is always very friendly and willing to help in any way possible.Gerwig's also carries Mush!I do miss seeing Kevin at the meat counter though.

Nice, cozy country grocery store. Local produce. Best homemade hamloaf oven ready!! Great deli and meat department. Nice greenhouse for plants and flowers. Small selection of hot food available in the bakery!! BEST FRIED CHICKEN IN TOWN AVAILABLE IN THE BAKERY!!

A gem in Ashland County. Not many towns can say that they have an independent, family-run, grocery store. Love the pictures and history seen on the walls that honors the owner’s previous generations-whom I’m sure are shining down smiling! Best meat department and produce selection.

I love the small town feel of this store but the huge variety of product! I particularly come for the tub of Philadelphia cream cheese cheesecake mix. I don't make cheesecakes out of it, I just eat it right out of the tub. I haven't been able to find it anywhere else!! So I hope they keep stocking it! 😋😘 ❤️

Usually don't have an issue when I go to Gerwig's. But today I went in this morning and asked for 12 1/4 lb burger patties. Got home and was ready to grill for a get together and realized I was only given 8. So I drove back out there and asked if you had anymore more burgers and lady the in the deli said "nope, we're all out " This is frustrating because I wasted time and gas to go back out to fix someone else's mistake and was told there wasn't anymore. The lady at the counter didn't care whatsoever which is what i get usually running into retail. So in the end I had to go to two other stores to try and get burger. If i have a good experience in he future i will change the rating but i feel its necessary for now.🤷‍♂️

Love Gerwig's, have been buying meat there since I moved back to Ohio in 1982. Best meat market in this area. Store is always clean and what a great bunch of employees, friendly and helpful. Super little market and a plus is the gift shop connected to it. Always able to find a great gift at great prices. Highly recommend this place!

It may be a little more expensive than Walmart but you get what you pay for..... they greet you when you walk in, ask if you need help if you look at little lost. No job stealing self checkouts and if there is more than 2 people in line a quick page and another register opens. Clerks take your purchase to your vehicle and actually ask you how you are...

We've been shopping here since I relocated to Ashland in 1998. The meat department is the BEST in Ashland. Great family owned business, and 3rd generation of family now at the helm with the sad passing of their folks so close together. This is a great country market. The deli sells prepared ham loaf that is great. The bakery has fried chicken available for pick up. The store has a small setting if you don't like the big chains, while still providing a good selection.

My daughter and I went to Gerwigs tonight. They have a very good selection of food, sweets, meat, lunch meat and cheese.The employees are friendly and helpful.It's a nice change from walking all over a big store.

The prices are comparable to most local grocers. The best thing about Gerwig's is the deli/meat department. They have good prices on the meats and cheeses with weekly specials. The beef and pork is like going to a butcher shop, fresh and straight from the source. The bakery is also good. Especially the chicken and potato wedges. I like it just as good KFC. Overall, if you like fresh meat at a good deal, Gerwig's White Barn is the best in the area.

Great hometown grocery store. The have a fabulous gift shop for the holidays. They have unique old school trees and ornaments. Wonderful customer service. The manager opened her Christmas wonderland gift shop an hour early for us as we were grocery shopping. They have fresh ready to eat hot meals and an A+ fresh meat department with knowledgeable butchers. They still employ individuals to assist you with carrying your groceries to the car. I can't say enough good things about Gerwig's White Barn.

This store provides great customer service with speed of checkout as well as basic friendliness. The options available at this store are hard to find at normal local groceries. Prices can be higher than a big chain store, but Gerwig's bring on quality. They offer a full service meat counter, gift shop and spring/summer nursery. I highly recommend stopping in.

A little expensive but plenty of everything. Their sandwich spread is incredible and broccoli toss is awesome! And I dont even like broccoli! Workers are super friendly especially in meat department!

It’s a shame because I was introduced to this store last year, and the choice of products is good. However, I was in there today and witnessed an incident between what I believe is a manager and an employee. It was highly unprofessional. I don’t know the details nor is it my business, but when you’re standing there waiting to get meat and you see a manager put his hands on an employee, it is INEXCUSABLE! And it makes customers feel uncomfortable. Doesn’t matter what kind of store it is, no manager should ever put their hands on an employee regardless of reason. And I certainly hope that’s not how all the employees are treated. And if it is, then who’s to say he wouldn’t do that to a customer who makes him mad? I’m sorry, but I will never go back there if that is how a supposed family business is run.

Great local meat selection. Great prices on meat. I buy all of my meat from gerwigs and refuse to buy anymore from walmart. Prices on some of their other items are a little higher than other places, but you can't get the fresh and high quality meat at many other places

I shop Gerwigs at least 3 times a week The meat/ deli department is great . I love the hot food servive the make some really good food for a good price for lunch and great deal on an eight peice chicken dinner with 8 large wedge potatos. i know almost everyone there now Very Friendly and Super Nice through out the whole store.p.s. I wish they had a standard food schedule for each day chicken every day. friday is a wonderful Rueben.

Service was slow me another customer that were next to be waited on got ignored and 2 other people that walked up after us got helped instead then we finally got acknowledged and waited on workers need to pay better attention to detail. Other than that i still like the meat but next timed i get put behind someone that came in after me im walking out.
