Just another Kroger in Columbus area- looks a bit oldie, but quite stocked up. The store was neat and clean, and well organized. The staff were helpful. Here people wrote about a problem regarding self check out. However, I didn’t face any problem while checking out by myself.

UPDATE: Self checkout is still a real challenge at the Henderson Rd Kroger. Wish they had check out lanes like the ones they have at the store on Sycamore in German Village. See the photo below…. This is painful for me to write the review. Been shopping at this Kroger since it was built - over 40 years ago. The staff at this store really friendly and helpful, and I feel badly for them. Corporate has decided to increase profits by forcing customers to use self-check out. The problem is, the self check out lanes are super small - they area is too small for medium to large grocery shoppings - they are better suited for 10-12 item quick trips. There is no way to even do a large shopping in self check-out unless you put items on the floor - it overflows. It’s a mess - I’ve tried and it is a total pain. They close all the cashier check out lanes to just one open lane - so shoppers have to wait in line 4-7 customers deep even when the store isn’t busy. Their other staff who would do cashiering are picking orders for pick-up and delivery customers. Kroger’s competition (GE) has regular sized self-check out isles that can accommodate larger orders. If this location doesn’t fix this, by adding more cashiers or larger self-check out lanes, they are going to start losing loyal customers.

I know I can't be the only one tired of these old people with attitudes. Should've retired, definitely shouldn't be still working for the grocery store being a cashier. The old self checkout girl wearing blue shoes today/right now. Needs a reality check. Your in a customer service job. And... your definitely not vital to the system. A cashier, with an attitude problem. Should not be on customer service. So to the old dirty blonde lady, be someone's blessing, not the curse

Staff gets 10⭐Everything else not so much. Store is cramped. Constantly stopping and maneuvering around people.Big gripe is app does not show location of items or is very vague. Staff very nice in helping locate items.Tried to get flu shot around 2p on Saturday and they were fully booked. They sent me to the pharmacy for flu shot. Pharmacy tried for 20 minutes to locate me in their system. I gave up and left. This Kroger needs better equipment and better IT experience for pharmacy & for Kroger app to give exact location of items. Hey Kroger admin, learn from Lowes. Loews has a great system!

A close friend of mine recently moved to Columbus, and went to this location tonight to shop. He can see a bit, but is legally blind. There were only do-it-yourself checkouts open. He asked for help, to no avail. When it was time to pay, he asked a worker to help him. The worker told him that he didn't know how to work the card reader. My friend left the store...with NO FOOD...and as he was walking out of the store, a couple of workers were laughing at him, and said "LONG NIGHT, HUH BUDDY???!!" They watched him struggle to scan his items, because he can't see the barcodes very well. I called the store and spoke to a night manager, and he said "I think I know who that was that did that to him" and he said "He will be written up for that" WHAT???? Your workers openly laugh at a man who needs help??? THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

These people has to be mentally ill. Went to the customer service station to put some money on my cash app and because I live in Arizona and was here on vacation I couldn't add money to my cash app because I didn't have a valid Ohio ID when I'm from Arizona and cash up as a virtual account. There is no cash app branch in any state

Store is easy to get in and out of. It is located facing a busy 4 lane road, but there is a traffic light at the entrance

Since moving to the area I thought I'd finally found the kroger I like best after going to 2 others. My experiences haven't been too bad, however today I was made to feel as though I was a bother. The cashier was calling Paige, who was busy socializing with a customer. After the cashier called her twice, I politely said excuse me Paige she's calling you then I let her know I only called her due to not hearing the cashier . Even though I used manners which I know many people don't and won't I expected for her to at least not have a funky look on her face I guess it was a bother since she was engaged in a conversation that had absolutely nothing to do with work. I will come back to this store sure to other employees I just hope she NEVER needed again! Update: went in again for the first time in a year and another ignorant worker. The self kiosk was being foolish when I went to see if I could correct it a ride as worker just comes over no excuse me or anything just steps in front of me just ignorant!

Been having issues at this location over the last 2 months or so. Produce (both fruit and veggies) are rotting very rapidly - sometimes they are already moldy behind the labels the same day.Quite disappointing.Other than that, most of the containerized (glass, boxed, etc) is pretty good. It's a clean enough Kroger, too.Staff are a slight bit above average compared to other Krogers.

Better hours than market district Kingsdale but you have to scan your own items after a certain time. Prices are lower on some items but higher on others compared to market district

I feel bad for posting this review but I think it’s necessary at this point. I’ve been shopping here for a little over 7 months. I usually shop early in the morning. All of the cashiers are friendly. I’ve never had an issue with them! I usually go through the self checkout. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff I can’t say the same about. The instacart shoppers (at the least the ones who are there during weekday mornings) aren’t friendly at all. There have been a few instances where I’ve been completely cut off by one of their carts and they don’t acknowledge you or say excuse me. Another time, I assume this person was a manager, was belittling and openly yelling at the other employees in the butchers department. It made me extremely uncomfortable and I felt really bad for those employees. I’m also rarely ever greeted by staff. No one acknowledges you unless you ask them a question. I enjoy shopping at the giant eagle market district much more now.

Meat counter is NEVER open. Literally everyday it’s closed. Tired of loading kids up in the cold to not be able to get what I need. This location is the worst by far.

Good time shopping they have great stuff to chose from… when we got to self checkout we had some issues. I have 14 items, they have some one come scan their barcode after you scan 12 items at self checkout. My partner and I stood there for a solid 5ish minutes while it said assistance was on the way. While we waited the older man (the associate at the self checkout) didn’t bother to stop and actually walked straight past us multiple times to assist other customers, which weren’t waiting as long as we had. Eventually we just flagged him down and get this, when we flagged him down the first time he looked at me and then turned away as if he didn’t even see me. I had to then flag him down again before he came to assist us.My card then declined and said I needed assistance again and I waited for a few minutes before having to flag him down myself again to assist, keep in mind he wasn’t busy helping others at this time he was just standing there.I felt very disregarded and disrespected because he felt the need to help everyone else before me even though I had been waiting. I have a sneaking suspicion it’s because I’m queer and very out and open about it with my partner :/ his name was either will or bill. I don’t recommend this location anymore and will be going to bethel from now on.

I’d just like to inform the general public that as of yesterday their self checkout now has the hand held scanners so no more need to lift heavy items or wait on the one store associate to come scan your stuff for you! Also when I mentioned this new addition out loud the gentleman (Tall, older black man that wears glasses) informed me they now have Apple Pay and the tap feature as well. LONG OVERDUE BUT NECESSARY. I hope this helps those that patronize this store!!! I’m not sure whether Crown Plaza has made these changes yet! Also I hate the new layout near the self checkout. It’s very awkward and doesn’t give people enough space to maneuver carts!

Love the chain grocery store, generally, and this location was no exception. Though moderately busy, it didn't take too long to get through the check out line with an able cashier at this clean and modern site.

It's a decent store. Hit or miss. This store is often bustling. On the non-busy days, it's at minimum 'steady.'If they have sales on items, they usually sell out quick. I used to shop here just for specific items they had good prices on. Now I do more general shopping. They don't always have a big selection or varieties within brands of frozen items. (Not all) It seems the store is pushing their Kroger brand. There is also a Krogers @ Bethel & Dierker Rds (opposite the Graters on Bethel) that is better stocked in items where the Henderson Rd store falls short. Sargento cheese, for example. Doesnt matter when I go, they are always out of every variety of cheese in this brand.

I was just in Kroger on Henderson and waited 5 minutes for someone to help me at the meat counter until looking around for some packaged fresh salmon filets because no one was coming to help me at the counter. The meat department guy was filling the chicken case and ignored me when he look d over at the counter. This is unacceptable customer service. Why is it so hard to have someone work at a meat counter? Why not just package some fresh salmon so we don’t have to hope some one will eventually show up?

This is my regular Kroger. The staff is very friendly and do what they can for you. However, check out has been a nightmare since I can remember. More regular checkout lines are needed. Also, please teach the employees how to bag. There shouldn't be cans with produce and frozen items scattered among 5 or 6 different bags. Cold items need to be bagged together and this is an ongoing problem every week.

WHY is someone trying to sell me internet every time I’m entering this grocery store!? Is Kroger Corporate aware this store has sales people asking everyone entering about their internet? I’m here to shop for groceries and not discuss my internet needs. I visit Kroger all around Columbus and this is the only store that has this occurring. Once I politely say I’m not interested, my shopping experience is good here.

2/17/23: Abdullah is still at great customer service!! He's fast, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable! He works hard in the customer service dept and self checkout assistance as needed including taking away my empty basket, helping with coupons, etc. You name it, Abdullah takes care of it!!Prior to 2/17/23: Abdullah is great customer service!! He's fast, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable! And to those of you who are too lazy to do your own shopping but have time to goof off online filling your grocery e-cart then complain about the wait, glad you're staying out of my way inside the grocery store!

Kroger, Kroger, Kroger, what to do with you? Every few months they'll move a few aisles of merchandise around like a fun game of consumerism hide and seek, but this time they literally moved whole aisles. As of a week or two ago, they've moved giant racks of merchandise into customer walkways, making tight corridors out of such low traffic areas as the milk cheese and meat. It's frankly gobsmacking to me, and like all the other anti-customer antics, like having barely stocked checkouts and hardly any baggers, it's just another in a long stack of straws that continue to fuel my 'old man yells at cloud' rants. This Kroger is bad, but who else would I go to? I'm not a millionaire so Giant Eagle is out. Guess I'll just leave mad ramblings on their Google review page.

I go there when I have to! The store is not that bad! Employees are helpful! The store always stocks very well! I always find what I need! The store is very clean and neat! A lot of parking space! There's a sushi counter also! Good fresh produces! Good fruits and vegetables! Good meats and poultry! They have good salmon and some seafood!

The store floor is in disrepair. They are often out of stock of many items on my list. The employees are not friendly or helpful. The prices and coupons often don't ring up correctly. I live nearby and am concerned that it will impact property values. It's really that bad. I hope the company actually addresses these issues. If they don't want to fix the store, then please close it so another business that cares about their customers can take its place.

After nearly a decade of shopping at GE Marketplace UA we opted for change, and this Kroger is the closest to our home which is comparatively out of our way.For reasons mostly already listed in other poor reviews here, we now drive another mile+ out of our way to the Bethel Rd Kroger which is far superior. Pains me, but true.I know this facility is old and likely handcuffed by it’s location, but it needs an interior overhaul, better parking, attention to cleanliness, adequate stocking, better self checkout.Generally not a good representation of the Kroger brand.
