After losing my beloved lab last fall I finally decided to take the leap and get another dog. I knew this time I wanted to adopt a dog but was concerned about getting the right dog. I knew I wanted a older dog that gets along with other dogs, will travel with me and hopefully house broken. I submitted a application in hopes I would get called to come see a little lab mix they had. After talking to the kind person on the phone she told me about another dog that might be a better fit for what I was looking. She sent a couple of photos and I was in my car to go see her.I met Lily and I knew within 5 minutes I wanted her. She was the perfect dog for me. I have had Lily for one week now and I know in my heart that my sweet Ellie sent Lily to me.Every person at FCHS was so kind, knowledgeable and you could tell they truly cared about their mission. The facility was also so nice and clean.

Never been here. But applied to adopt a dog. They don't tell you anything. They call your references, and if you click the box that says you will use a vet in the future, they will call said vet and then act like it's wild you don't have an account there yet. Why would I have an account with a vet before I have a dog? So even though I wanted to adopt a dog. I guess now I will have to go and buy one. I make good money. I live in a 2500 square foot home. Someone would be home with the dog at all times. My girlfriend works from home. So I guess it wasn't meant to be. I hope she goes to a good home.

We adopted our little Chihuahua about 6 months ago. The process was easy and very friendly staff. The place was spotless and the animals were well cared for. We love our little Daisy and so thankful for her. She's part of our family.

I started volunteering at FCHS on the dog side. I am amazed at the care those sweet dogs receive! They get excellent vet care, amazing food, bones from the butcher, bone broth, toys and lots of treats!!! The kennels are cleaned constantly and the dogs are let out to run and play several times a day!!! Their bedding and blankets are continuously cleaned and changed too. They just added a longer fenced in grassy area with shade trees that is phenomenal!!! Please Adopt! Don't Shop! There are beautiful dogs and puppies that need you and they are ready to give you their all!!!

I thank these folks for giving Clover and me a chance together!!! She's such a sweet pooch and happy to add her to my family. Definitely keeping her all tuckered out and she ensures I get some GREAT sleep at night too!Apply in advance for a fur baby if you're on a tight schedule, Clover was freshly spayed (tummy hair still growing back), and have one visit left for some shots. The folder they gave me has everything needed.They run on donations - if you have some things you don't need consider donating. Or maybe make some treats for the animals there. Be considerate of allergies of course.In hindsight I wish I would have asked when Clover normally takes her first bathroom break of the day. Whoops! Getting her on a schedule took me a couple of days but I think we nailed it! Make sure you ask in advance to avoid a clean up.

Would just like to let you know that Luna is settling in quite nicely. Max(boxer) and Callie(cat) have wecomed her also. She is truly a cuddlebug. Thank you for letting me adopt her.

The owner was FANTASTIC! We LOVE our newest family member! With Covid-19, many of the shelters are closed and difficult to get into, but they were great!!! Cannot say enough about how happy we are that we made the trip to Fulton County (from Toledo).

We went to the Fulton County Humane Society because we fell in love with a dog on their FB page. The workers agreed to meet us on our own schedule. However when it was clear the dog we originally wanted wasn’t right for our family, the workers showed us four other dogs, taking the time to explain the personalities of each one. The humane society was very patient, very informative, and it’s clear the people there really care about dogs. It’s also the cleanest humane society I’ve been to. We ended up adopting a dog that was right for our family and we couldn’t be happier!

We just adopted a Maltipoo yesterday. She was well taken care of while there and exercised not just stuck in cage. Very friendly pet loving staff. Highly recommend them. Thanks for all your help and kindness. Our new furr baby is very well adjusting to her new home and LOVED dearly already.

I adopted a maincoon, hes 2 yrs old, hes loving and funny and very handsome. He had great care while with Steve and Tracy. They love animals .The building never smells and cat pans are always clean and animals are clean also. Love my Mannie Thank Tracy and Steve

We visited the Fulton County Humane Society to give the dogs some carrots to play with and chew on, we found some exceptionally well behaved boys and girls in here. Tug was excited and grateful when we gave him a carrot, and happily bounced away with it. Tessa was happy someone came so visit her, and really wanted ear scratches. When we stopped by Bruce's cage, he was quit, and when we offered him a carrot, he was the most gentle when taking it from us and sort of held it while looking at us to make sure it was okay. Very sweet dog. Jollene was very friendly with us, never barked, just wanted to be close to us. Rascal seems more curious about us than his carrot, real quiet gentle giant. Dash the husky was a quiet good boy, snacking on his carrot while watching us roam the room. Howard is a chunker who seems to enjoy a lazy day, perfect if you can't handle an energetic dog. So many wonderful dogs here that can make good family members.

Love it here! The people are great! We got our cat from them and then when we were considering adopting another, they worked with us to do what we needed to make sure the fit was right. Unfortunately it wasnt, but thankfully we fou d that out within a day and just took her back. Be sure to donate!!!

I came in to l ook at pups but their mother greeted me! Love at first sight! Told Fulton county i couldn't take her till the end of June, no problem tried seeingher twice a week. Took her home early, what a joy fFCHS IS THE BEST i came from Lucas County and there is no comparison, including the staff and the grounds AND done with strickly donations

They called us up saying we were approved for Archie but then not even 15 mins later called us back to say nevermind you were denied because you RENT. What kind of heartless people run this place? I was so excited and happy but now I'm bawling my eyes out. Learn how to treat people, don't say they were approved just to rip the rug from under them. Thanks for lying and deceiving us.

Omg I loved this Humane society The kittens and dogs are so adorable if I could adopt I would. But I am most definately going to start volunteering alot more whenever I get the chance to The staff is very niice knowlegable, niice and considerate 😊😊
