Kroger's are usually awesome places, the neighborhood market places are usually even better with higher and stuff. This place I will never return to because of the uncaring and unaccommodating borderline rude manager, Sandy, that refused to allow me to check out 15 minutes past closing. I understand it is my screw up to not be listening to overhead speakers but after 3 years working for Kroger's and 3 decades shopping there, this is the most disheartening experience with the iconic grocery store and I don't think I should be accepting the non customer-centric attitude of the management here.

Love this Kroger! Super clean and organized! Always fully stocked! Only thing that bothers me is the fact that the one set of doors doesn’t open till 9 and I have to walk down further lol

I have been purchasing Western Union money orders for home and Office rent for the last two years at Kroger’s. I have always purchased them using my debit card (not cash). These are obviously larger money orders so they always write down my drivers license, my social and the money order numbers. I usually go to Kroger‘s at Stoneridge (which are amazing and have never given me a hard time ever ) but occasionally I will go to Kroger‘s at 300 South Hamilton Rd. only because it’s usually on the way to where I’m going. I tried to purchase money orders at Kroger’s 300 S. Hamilton Rd., approximately two months ago. Upon walking up to the customer service counter and telling them what I needed. There was a manager that began to argue with me, claiming that I needed to purchase them with cash and I explained to him, no that’s not true I purchase them every month with my debit card. As he continued to argue with me, he called someone and they explained to him that he was wrong and that yes I can purchase them with a debit card. He apologized profusely. So today I go into Kroger’s at 300 South Hamilton Rd. to purchase my monthly money orders. As I approach the customer service counter I am greeted by a young adult female named Jessie. I explained to her as I usually do that I need to purchase several large money orders. First thing out of her mouth. Oh, you can only do it with cash. And I’m thinking to myself here we go again. I said to her no that’s not true. I said last time I was here I went through the same thing they argued with me. They apologized, and they sold me the money orders. She continued to argue with me so I asked for a manager. Alex (not sure his title) but he had a red vest on so I’m assuming he’s got some kind of a title came up and picked up the paper and said you can only purchase these with cash. And once again, I explained to him that no that’s not true. I’ve been purchasing large money orders at Kroger’s for over two years with my debit card. He continued to argue with me. So at that point, I asked for a store manager. Alex slammed the paper down on the counter and said well they’re just gonna tell you the same thing. Now mind you I spend easily $5000 a month at Kroger’s between money orders and groceries for our entire family. I understand that they are being careful because these are large money orders. If you’re so concerned about it, stop selling them and if you’re going to sell them stop treating people like their criminals and giving them a hard time! Finally, a manager came up and made two phone calls and found out, Yes, I was right! The manager did apologize for Alex. I went back up to the counter to purchase the money orders from Jessie and she was still snotty and rude. I told the manager if I had an employee who treated customers the way I was treated today they would be fired. She said oh they’re part of the union they can’t be fired. That’s not true, because I know someone that was fired from Kroger’s. I think Kroger‘s corporate office would like to know how their customers are being treated by young rude, disrespectful employees. Shameful! I will never step foot in this store ever again. I will take my business elsewhere and start buying my money orders and groceries somewhere else! Maybe Kroger’s will take this seriously and actually do something about it!

As an employee at this location for the past couple weeks I have noticed how extremely understaffed we are and how unprofessional management is. Since day 1 there has been lack of training I've worked ohlq majority of time by myself no one comes to check on you no one answers pages or service desk phone there is also a lack of consideration for the employees simple things like covering breaks or just a restroom break is a problem also as an adult scheduling is inadequate your schedule is a pogo stick I really wish HR was around more or the union reps would actually come to talk to employees and see their feelings on things after all we keep kroger a multi billion dollar company while we make pennies and peanuts without us they would shut down treat us with the dignity your kroger code of ethics says you do

Don’t buy gift cards here.Shopping here for 20 years. $100 Sephora gc bought 12/3. Had no $ utility when we attempted to use it . Fraud situation. Kroger refuses to be accountable at all and has not resolved the issue. Opening a complaint with attorney general office today.

For whatever reason. Kroger has decided to shut down all but 5 self check out lanes at 8:00pm. The line was easily at 30 deep (not exaggerating) and you have staff hanging around the front of the store laughing and walking around. This is unacceptable to the consumer. I can understand at 10:30pm you start shutting stuff down. But a quick trip to the store at 8:00pm shouldn't require you to get into a 30 customer deep line. Ridiculous.

Shopped there for an hour and a half. The bagger leaves when it’s my turn to checkout. I had a pretty big order and the cashier had to help me bag. I normally don’t mind helping to bag my own groceries but in THAT MOMENT, after dragging around a heavy cart, bagging my own groceries felt like work. They should’ve just paid me as a bagger. I was told people called off and/or had other duties but at the end of the day that is not my responsibility nor is it my problem. Nor is it an excuse I should be given. Not one bagger was in sight. Not a one. Y’all can do better.

I just stopped in to grab a few things to make dinner since this one is on the way home. One of my purchases was ground beef, Kroger brand. When i got home and started preparing dinner I opened the package of ground beef. The moment i do the smell hits me and i look at the date on the package and see that it had EXPIRED 12 DAYS EARLIER and they still had it out in the case for sale!!!! Is no one aware of FIFO (first in first out) with food or rotation of stock at all! As i walk into the store to get my money back for the spoiled product. I hear some employees stating that they are done for the rest of their shift and it is barely 7 pm at this time. I think they are open for a few hours yet. My thoughts are maybe have the employees that are not doing anything check some of the expiration dates on the products for sale. I understand these things happen but 12 Days is rather excessive to have been missed by everyone. The fact that the manager did not seem that surprised really took me back. She didn't seem overly concerned that they had items that out of date in the store. She barely had anything to say other than "i will give you your money back, and would you like to swap it out?" I really expected a different reaction. Anyways, will no longer shop at this location but for all those that are willing to risk it for the biscuit please check the dates on the products your purchasing.

We visit this store weekly. Extremely disappointing experience at the flower/balloon department today. Instead of saying the store doesn’t offer helium refill service (for a ballon that we purchased there), the lady at the counter said helium is very EXPENSIVE and it’ll costs the same as buying a new one. Her tone was dismissive and condescending. My 7 year old walked out of the store in tears. It’s a shame that Krogers would hire such rude and unprofessional people! We will shop somewhere else from now.

Gentleman with purple hair and green nails was extremely rude. Pharmacy opened and it took 45 minutes to pull a box of albuterol and smack a sticker on it. Then when I questioned 45 minutes they sat behind the desk laughing at me and talking about me. She has short brown hair pulled in a pony tail. When someone has difficulty breathing this is not okay.

The shopping center is busy as can be. Packed full of folks however Kroger was running smooth. Not much of a wait and plenty of registers open. Thank you Kroger. Much better job than reynoldsburg ever does.

My only night off work stopped by to get a few things. 1 was a 12 pack of beer only self checkout. A worker came by couldn't do anything stood there for a few then headed out the door. Kroger if you can't have someone working a register then close your doors. You are not giving me a discount for checking myself out. If you only have self checkout then you can stick your products where the sun doesn't shine

My wife and I frequently do Kroger pick ups at this location. They are just continuously pretty bad. We buy a lot of milk for our son, and continuously get milk that’s going to expire within a week. Last week we got a bag of red potatoes, which were pretty disgusting and shouldn’t have been given to anyone, they should have been thrown away. But the absolute worst thing is when they say they don’t have something in stock that you really need, like milk for your son. We had a suspicion that somebody was too lazy to walk in back and get the milk and just said they didn’t have it. So my wife walked into Kroger after her pick up and took this photo, of milk they said they didn’t have. We are just going to have to switch to a different grocery store.

Never out of stock, also state liquor, literally never have to go anywhere else.Update: Aug/2022The staffing problems are getting out of hand, for a Union based company, they don't seem to be advocating for the workers very hard. Pharmacy is constantly behind to the point of missing promised times occasionally. The service desk gets closed early or just never opens.Update: Oct/2022.It's as bad as ever, pharmacy is still understaffed. Adding a picture of a common line. This line will take 30-45 minutes to process. And I don't blame the employees. I blame the upper management. They still can't keep employees.

I use this store quite frequently. Over the past few months, they have always been truly short on cashiers, but this seems to be an issue for all Kroger's...well about all stores anymore. They are frequently understaffed, but I've gotten fairly good at locating things I extensively use in the store. I must use the lactose free ice cream and of all the Kroger's in the area they seem to have more often than the others. I also use lactose free milk and this store also carries it when the others are completely out of stock. The meat market is amazing. The fish and steaks are always very fresh, since I discovered they receive fresh catch on Monday, Wednesday, & Saturday. Members of my family really enjoy the broad selection in the alcohol section, especially the craft beers and wine department. Whenever you do bring an issue to the customer service department, they are extremely good at doing their job and getting you the support, you need. It does make sense though, since Kroger trains and pays people to run their registers, that when all the lanes are shut down in the middle of the day and I am forced to use the self-scan, that customers should get some sort of discount for doing the job they pay people to do. Why should the customers pay the wages of cashiers they don't have if we are going to do their jobs for them?

They made me pay twice for my snacks due to me not providing a receipt to show I paid for my stuff even though another worker said I was not stealing and came there often

This is where I always do my weekly grocery shopping. The facility is clean, the employees are extremely friendly, and they have an immense selection of groceries. I've even gotten some clothing products from here before as well.

Interesting experience today as workers were letting stray young kids bag which angered a elder man. He was annoyed with them. On the way out, he was berated by another elder and a geriatric fight almost broke out. Where were the kids parents and why were staff letting kids bag? Could've came to blows between the elders.

Disappointed at the price gouging. The shelves are full of everything, but who can afford anything? And this kroger used to be so good about accurate signage, but that seems to have gone out the window. Never enough registers open, unless you want to work for free and be your own cashier. It might pay to go to Walmart instead.

Mediocre store. The shopping carts are in worse shape than any Walmart I've ever been to. The checkout is a nightmare unless you go during their slow hour(s). They "added" self checkouts, but the far left 6 are closed 95% of the time. Which overall reduced the self checkout count from 12 to 10. They also usually only have 1-2 clerk checkouts open. Checkout is often slow, carts are trash, and cleanliness has declined. Not the Kroger it used to be, but it's the closest, so I always give myself a little extra time when coming here. The shelves are usually neat and stocked. I'll give them that....

The store was clean and well stocked. The staff was friendly and helpful. Another full service checkout lane with a human would be appreciated.

Sept 19th 2023 at 1:45 pm I witnessed the employee at the self check out (clothing side of store) laugh at a customer who was struggling with using the credit card reader machine. She never offered to help her. This employee is often rude but this was just sad.

Store is great. Love it. No complaints, except for the ogre looking dude that works at the liquor store. Better hope that dude never sees me out in public. Has one of the worst attitudes I’ve ever seen from an employee. He slams things around, including the scanner wand. Doesn’t speak at all. Idgaf what you got going on, you don’t disrespect people like that. I snatched the bag from him REAL fast when I went today.

I started shopping at Kroger in December and signed up for the rewards card. Now I realize I’m not getting the best customer coupons in the mail! I do all my shopping there since I moved back to Gahanna from Nebraska. I’m losing money!

I never write reviews but I feel like I have to. I live nearby so Kroger is my go to for pretty much anything. The employees are always super nice and seem to be happy. Today Dominic stood out. He's always been super helpful but today he was fast on his feet and kind and helpful. Always happy to shop here!

I went in on Wednesday 2/15/23 to pick up 2 cakes for my students that I previously ordered. Got to the bakery counter and didn’t see them on the cart like usual but I thought maybe they’re in the freezer. An attendant came to assist me and locate my order and realized that it had not been made. I was devastated. My students had been preparing for weeks for this day and I was afraid to disappoint them . I asked to speak to a manager. The manager on shift, A young African American woman, who had pretty locs , I believe , came to my rescue.( I wish I got her name) she fixed my problem the best she could and showed real concern for me , just an average customer. I truly appreciate the service I received and my students’ event went on as planned with a few adjustments .
