I was at the store a couple days ago and seen a lady in front of me get rude to an elderly gentleman for counting out $0.77 in change for his $2.77 bill. The young man cashiering was very quick to let her know no disrespect is going to be tolerated in his line, made my heart happy for the elderly gentleman. The lady proceeded to snatch the receipt from him and start arguing with him. I just wanted to say I am 100% happy he responded the way he dds. He needs a raise!!!

I ordered a cake for my grandson's first birthday party. A young lady name Alexis took my order, I sent an image to her and she made the cake and it was beautiful I was very pleased with this cake. Thank you so much Alexis 🙂

Clean, well cared for store employees are nice, but prices are a bit high. I go primarily for the get-go gas perks. They always match Sheetz lowest price on gas, and if you got perks, it's a better deal.

I have always made a special trip to giant eagle to purchase seafood, be it fresh or frozen. I have never had any issue. However, I recently purchased some fish that smelled just a bit off. I didn’t have my receipt, so I wasn’t expecting much when I called to let them know. I just wanted them to be aware. Ken, the manager was super helpful, apologized and offered to reimburse me within the amount of any seafood I preferred. A company should stand by their product, and he did. He made it right and I really appreciate it.

Always shop here. I pay by check. Now I know my driver's license will be required, but tonight they also required my credit card. I firmly refused. They excepted as is. This is nuts, if that is your policy then inform the patrons, that way I can go elsewhere. I have been shopping when it was Fazios and writing checks with no issues.

Had what I needed. Very clean. 9/10 times I purchase flowers here. They always last 2 weeks plus. In fact, my mom still has flowers from over a month ago. Well worth the money.

hourly pay is very low compared to other grocery stores that charge less for their groceries. you’ll get written up for being sick when you’re pregnant. requests off and availability doesn’t get taken into consideration. don’t work here, you’re better off door-dashing. 👍🏽

Went there today for an order. A woman with a raspy voice was also doing a curbside order. I asked her for help. She refused service. Tell me, what is the difference if I'm a customer or if I work Instacart? Help is help. Refusing help looks bad on you and the company you work for. I used to shop at Giant eagle with my daughters. I'm no longer shopping there. It's bull. I've never had a problem before. But whoever she is. I'm not going back.

I love Giant Eagle.They carry a lot of items that I have trouble finding at other stores, and yet their prices are pretty reasonable. The staff at the Amherst store is friendly and helpful. All of the Giant Eagle stores have a great selection and have friendly, helpful staff. Get go is priced lower than other gas stations in the area.

I dont know not my fave place but workable. Bought a J Wray and Nephew rum which is made in Jamaica. You can get almost all types of alcohol here. A little pricey. Customer service was ok. Saw this wine that one my friends recommended. Gonna go back n get it

Larger than most, very well stocked, wellit, very clean. Folks organizing my many shelves. Great parking and they give you bags, contrary to Cuyahoga cty. Giant Eagle styles. So annoying. Good checkout aisles as well with help if needed.

Not from Amherst but work there, no Giant eagle in my town, tried to stop real quick to get something on my lunch and you can't even pay with out scanning your giant eagle card at the express register. Makes no sense

I love Giant eagle. Great selection and stores always neat and clean. Cashier's are always friendly and courteous. They lines move quick even when they're long due to being so busy. I think overall Amherst Giant Eagle is a Excellent choice when it comes to your local grocery store. Highly recommend 🙂

Store was clean, selection was accurately marked most of the hostesses (tellers) were very polite mine was very nice to me but the young person in front of me was treated rudely although the customer was being polite & apologized for having so many items the teller made impolite comments to that customer & repeated them to me which I promptly said was rude & their manager should be receiving a call.

This store is absolutely atrocious. First of all, they spend way too much time harassing customers in the 12 items or less line (literally counting your items to make sure you are under it even when there is no line) meanwhile the produce here is terrible. I stopped buying produce from here a few months ago when the Broccoli i bought was infested with bugs. My husband stopped there the other day and bought tomatoes, 4 of them which looked fine on top but were entirely molded on the bottom except one. A bag of mandarins (the small ones you'd give to kids) and they were also bad. The coolers they put the pre bagged lunch meats in are also a hazard and do not stay cold enough, have had my husband bring me home rotten salami from there. Avoid at all costs. Go down the street to Meijers. Whoever runs this store needs to be replaced.

It's great they have a large selection of products you can't find elsewhere. My experience with curbside service was terrible. They never responded to My phone call or email concerning this. Gave me product expiring next day.Waited for over an hour. Today I was overcharged again. Will be more vigilant next time as cashier rings the items up. Disappointing experiences.

Our local go to supermarket for most fresh foods and frozen and canned goods. They have a nice selection of fresh produce as well.
