We have a dog and we tried everything with harnesses and collars but she was able to get out of them.We had a scare and almost lost her and went to Alpha Dog. Within minutes the gentleman that helped us measured her and suggested a collar. We have to say she hasnt gotten lose and we are more calm in keeping her close. Thank you!

Everything you need to give you pet a bath is right there in the large temperature controlled outdoor closed in booth. There are two booths and there are the same. The water temperature is perfect. You buy your tokens right there on the outside of the booth using cash, credit card or Apple/Samsung Pay. Each token is worth approximately one minute of time in on the automated machine. Put in as many tokens as you like to begin with and if you see the countdown timer getting close to a minute left, put in more as needed. You can choose between oatmeal or flea and tick shampoo, then press the button for conditioner or pet deodorizer. Afterwards, rinse. Then you can use the mini vacuum to suck off excess water before using the blow dryer. All these buttons are right there on the main panel. Leave a minute or so to rinse off the walls, tub and floor and to spray some tub disinfectant. I liked the whole experience, but I’m not so sure my dog did 🙂 I wish I would have taken some photos so you could see the booth, token machine and main panel. Next time!L

Update: She got a bath today and she's not impressed! The facility is clean and easy to use! They now have two washing stations so there's less opportunity to have to wait!

Muddy hunting dog enters, clean dog leaves. Affordable with everything you need to wash your pet in a clean, bright, ergonomic environment with a locking door to keep your dog and you safe. My male dog loves the new addition of the fire plug. I always bring towels but that is a personal preference. A clean happy dog!

Used Alpha-Dog to trim our dog's nails. Our husky was first and had been difficult for us to do his nails. The experience was fantastic, quick and easy. The lady said she had no trouble and our dog did well. We then took our other dog in and again it was a great experience. We will return and recommend to others.

Excellent find! Not easy to cut the nails of my 6 month old great dane, but I was in and out of Alpha Dog in about 10 minutes. Nails cut, and I even got to meet the groomers great dane. For 10 bucks you can't beat that!

After driving last this place for years, we finally decided to utilize the pet wash for our 3 dogs. The machine is pretty self explanatory and easy to use. The groomer was also able to squeeze us in for nail trims for all 3. The little store inside is awesome and my husband had to make sure the dogs got a new Kong toy while we were there 😂. The workers are wonderful as well. We will definitely be back.

Great place! They are so kind and helpful with your needs and questions. The store has all kinds of helpful things, toys and food for your pup. I took my puppy to training class there with Chip and he really helped us a lot. The dog wash is so convenient too.

Went to the self service bath station. I took my dog (boarder collie/golden retriever mix) and my roommates puppy (German Shepard) who are both quite hairy. I ended up using tokens for the 'discount' since I knew I would need more time with them. I normally like a little more water pressure, but having the soap in the sprayer was really nice as well as having a blow dryer (the dogs begged to differ since they'd never seen that before, but they got over it really fast). I put $20 in and I still had tokens left over. The staff member I did meet was SUPER nice. I look forward to going back!

We used the self serve dog wash and it was great. Easy to use, good price, it even had treats. My only complaint is the blow dryer was cold air so my dog got cold and it didn't dry very well but other than that great. I wish there was one closer to us. But we have more tokens so we will definitely be back

This place (Alpha-Dog) is remarkable, and if you need to wash your dog bring your dog there, they have 2 dog washes out front.....Very,Very reasonable. If you have any questions Chip is awesome and will help you in any way possible.

There is only room for one dog wash at time. Can use credit card or cash to get tokens to use in machine. I am use to using only quarters or credit card to use dog wash machine at other places. Space is small and enclosed. Only one steel step to get your large dog into tub which was very inconvenient and scary for my Lab. Otherwise instructions on wall where easy to read and everything was easy to use. The water was warm when washing the dog which was nice. The tub has slip resistant floor. Tub also has a cake with latch hook to keep your dog in place. There is a slip resistant ramp for you and dog to walk into the washroom from the outside.There is a place for your dog to relieve itself outside the washroom along with doggie poop bags and small trash can. The only thing I would change are the steps to get into the tub and the token machine. I forgot to wash and disinfect the tub after washing my dog. Had to spend another $5 to wash and disinfect the tub per the rules. I wasted $3 of used time in doing so. Make sure you read ALL of the rules and instructions BEFORE washing your pet.Norwalk has a dog wash which is set up completely different. It's a small building with two large separate washing stations and 4 smooth slip resistant steps to get your large dog into the washing station platform. Better suited for multiple dogs.This washing station in Amherst is ok.

I was looking for an easier option to wash my 5 month old lab, Walt, who is now getting bigger than the sink! I read some of the reviews and responses and decided it was worth a try. The place was wet (as expected) and toasty warm on this 40° evening. Walt was a tad anxious as this was a new experience. I bought $20 worth of tokens as this was the best option. Followed instructions printed on the wall and all went as good as expected with an anxious 5 month old! I read that some people wished to have more suds and a response that more suds would end up becoming problematic during rinse. I have to agree that it is a good mix of suds. I recommend spraying with one hand and massaging with the other. So unless you have 3 arms or a pet who does not mind bath time, plan on using the tether at the head of the tub, which I did! I believe Walt was most freaked out by the large sprayer nozzle which is like an industrial kitchen sink sprayer. I rinsed and utilized the conditioner as well. Now that I recall the experience, walt was definitely most freaked out by the vacuum, which is also instructed. It is quite powerful and probably works really well for pets without noise and a shop vac floor attachment sucking onto their fur! We abandoned that step and went straight to the blow dryer. It blows cool air, which Walt loves. I used my last minute to rinse down the tub as instructed and then used a towel to further the drying process. In the end, Walt was a happy pup and now is silky soft and smells good! I will be back to get better at this and train Walt that this is a welcomed experience! Not sure if another sprayer option is a possibility; maybe something that can attach to one hand with a valve release at fingertip?
