Park's Place has become my favorite go-to local place for any meal. Their food is FABULOUS! The chicken marsala, corn hash and toast & gravy is amazing. I would highly recommend checking them out! Support your local businesses!

TL;DR This restaurant is the cat's pajamas and if you're in the vicinity, treat yo'self to the taste sensations at this little off-the-beaten-path dining destination. On a recent trip to Hocking Hills, we stayed at an Air BnB in Amesville. The guest guide book suggested Park's Place, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is casual with wooden tables and a friendly wait staff. The restaurant takes pride in sourcing many of the ingredients from local farms, including the milk. The creamery supplies them with whole milk and a rotating selection of flavors. My dining partner enjoyed the cookies n' cream flavor (and took a half gallon to go with fresh brownies from the bakery). My group hit up the place for dinner and decided to return for brunch the next day! I had the mushroom swiss burger, which was cooked to order (I love my burgers rare, and I trust local farms to have the quality of meat I need for undercooked ingredients), and crispy on the outside. I had a salty, vinegary Brussels sprouts side with chopped bacon. My dining partner shared his Nashville hot chicken (if you like spicy food, it had an ok burn, but we added more house-made hot sauce on the table to give us the "mouth sweats" we crave), fries, and mac n cheese. The fries were crispy, almost shoestring style, and the pasta was tangy and gooey without tasting like it was fake. There were no survivors for photos. :)The next morning I was better about remembering to photograph my meal and my dining partner's. I had the southwest omelette and added extra veggies (you know, because health). I couldn't finish the omelette AND the crispy home fries AND the house-made sourdough toast, lightly charred on the griddle. My dining partner shared some of his biscuits and gravy, and ladies and gentlemen, this gravy was legit! I am not typically inclined to try the sausage gravy at a new restaurant because, as inferred in my earlier comment, I likes it spicy. The gravy was peppery and spicy and flavorful, as God intended. Every baked item that rolls out of the kitchen is amazing, so yes the biscuit was fluffy and moist. There was a blueberry muffin and cinnamon roll for the table. The muffin was bursting with blueberry goodness, and the cinnamon roll was soft and very cinnamon-forward with a crunchy, caramelized sugar bottom. The cream cheese icing was perfect. Did I mention the fresh-squeezed orange juice? There is a kids menu, and I have to imagine those items are just as delicious as everything else. Who knows? We're here for two more days; we might plow through more amazing menu items.P.S. As of September 2022, the restaurant does not yet have its liquor license, but expect to see local items at the bar when it arrives.Vegetarian options: Items can be made without meat, but lots of items have cheese or eggs. So not strictly vegan-friendly but vegetarian options for sure.Parking: On-street spaces out front and gravel lot in the backKid-friendliness: There is a kids menu but pretty much everything on the menu is great and appetizing to any palate.Wheelchair accessibility: Cement ramp wraps around the side of the building. Not sure about ADA compliant.

Holy wow was this the perfect hole in the wall for breakfast. They have a solid number of vegetarian options which was a pleasant surprise. The prices were amazing but the real star of the show is the pie. We tried the pumpkin, apple, and pecan pies and I would order any of them again.

So so so good if you're a local or even just passing thru on a Thursday-Sunday you should stop by and give it a shot. I posted a pic of the chef's special barnyard burger, Brussel sprouts, and beef open face. If you stop in give anything on the menu a try you will not be disappointed the owners are down to earth and very humble. Keep up the great work guys and gals of parks place we will continue to stop in and support yall. If you're reading this before valentine's day they are having a 5 course meal for you and your significant other starting at 32 dollars per person. If you're interested I look forward to seeing you there!

Great house made Bread and Sauces make the Sandwiches something special. I had the Patty Melt with caramelized onions, two tasty patties, melted cheddar, house made burger sauce, and my new favorite bread. My wife and Daughter had the Pitmaster Sando, smoked pulled pork with house made bbq sauce and topped with Cole Slaw on the same great house Bread. I tasted and it was just as awesome, it will be hard to choose next time. A great place to stop on the way to Hocking Hills. We 5 Star recommend the food, especially the House made Bread and Sauces!

A great addition to The village of Amesville. This was my 2nd time here. The owners just added a new menu today, and everything sounded so delicious that it was heard to choose. I ordered the sirloin steak special with green beans and fries, and my wife had the open face roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak was tender and lean, and everything else was delicious too. Highly recommend. It's worth the drive from the city of Athens or anywhere else in the County.

This wonderful little hole in the wall is such a pleasant spot for dinner and the food is wonderful. I had the Nashville hot fried chicken, one light piece, one dark piece. It wasn't very spicy, but the flavor was very nice. Went perfectly with the onion rings, slaw, and remulade. Reasonable prices, locally sourced chicken. Pleasant, homey atmosphere, and friendly staff. Will 100% return the next time I'm in the area.

Stopped in at the recommendation of someone else. There was a lot to be desired.Upon entering the place it does have a cute local feel. We never received even a simply hello or hi upon approaching the counter. The employee behind the counter just stood and looked at us. After asking if we could just sit anywhere, we were given menus from server (same person that didn’t greet us). My mom asked if she could order a glass of wine and the servers response was “I can’t do that”. What she actually meant was she wasn’t old enough to open and pour the wine and it took another employee that happened to be in earshot to say that she could help her with that. My mom ended up getting a lemonade instead. From there we decided to split some appetizers since we weren’t super hungry. The apps all came out on the same plate and we had to ask for plates for us to be able to share the apps (there were 5 in our group so hard to reach or share sauces without small plates for each person). The silent server did quickly bring plates but never said anything. Also didn’t ask how our food was.As we were finishing up, another employee (I’m assuming the person who was cooking that day) came out and while she was doing something else took the time to ask us how the food was and asked us if we tried the jalapeños or mushrooms that weren’t listed on the menu yet. Since our server barely spoke to us we had no idea of these items. But we were appreciative of at least one person asking about our food. For the food, I would say I really liked the cheese curds. We also tried fried pickles, onion rings, pretzel bites. All were as expected. The cheese sauce and marinara sauce weren’t really hot. I’m not sure if they weren’t supposed to be.Overall, the experience was really lacking and disappointing. Personally I love checking out locally owned places and sharing good experiences. I don’t expect perfect, but I do expect at minimum a hello or hi, how is your food, thank you for coming in.Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance has a ramp

Great little place with excellent locally sourced food! My husband and I stopped by for a late breakfast on the recommendation of some friends and we are so glad we did. It’s a simple no-frills little spot with excellent food and service. We will definitely be back.

We decided to try this based on the reviews and having tried their food at the Athens County Fair. The food seems to be really good quality. We tried the hamburger and the fried chicken. It would be nice if they had smaller hamburgers as it seemed like they only had half pound burgers.I don't know much about Amesville, but it seems like an odd choice for a good restaurant, or any restaurant. I'm glad they have something, but selfishly wish it were closer to Athens.

Homestyle cooking and friendly staff. No wait for a table. The menu and pricing was a bit strange. You had to order Ala carte and a piece of toast was $1. The only kind of toast they had was house made sourdough. We just wished you had the option to get wheat or white also. We were not fans of the sourdough. The food came out as ordered and was good. Really liked the sausage gravy.

We stopped here for lunch during an adventurous bike ride in the area. The food was super good and tasty. The staff was friendly and welcoming. This was a surprising oasis of quality food and service in a remote area. I would most definitely come here again.

After hearing positive word-of-mouth about Park's Place, we decided to try the Sunday buffet. We were greeted by the exceptionally friendly staff who guided us "newbies" through the buffet. Yes, the selection is rather limited compared to other buffets, but they seem to have the philosophy of "making a few things and doing it very well". I tried a portion of everything offered and was not disappointed by anything. I will also say the chicken & noodles and BBQ pulled pork were outstanding. The delicious food combined with a laid-back family atmosphere made it a memorable experience. We will definitely dine here again.

Tried this place for the first time today and was a great experience! The food tasted fresh and legit made from scratch, with love and pride. Everything our group had was enthusiastically enjoyed. Coffee tasted great and the fresh sqeezed orange juice was a treat. Kudos to this operation, definitely a stop worth making!

This place has never missed! After a rambunctious friday, was looking for a solid patty melt to get back on the level. The patty melt pulled together by R is prob the best, and def one of the best I have ever had. Meat perfect, bread toasted just right, sauced and cheeses layered just the right way.Love supporting local, and when it comes to good food in our area - Park Palace is a must try - breakfast, lunch or dinner.💯💯👌🏼

Thought we would try something new and eat here . Well I ordered a salad and when it came to my table I seen slimy lettuce throughout my whole salad. And to make things worse there was kids running up and down past our table and being loud and rude, along with slow service . This is my first and last time here .
