Went in to find a rat or ferret to add to our family and ended up falling in love with the sweetest baby kitty. Decent variety of reptiles, not many choices for rats, lots of fish, a few birds and some bunnies. Store was very very hot the day we went so they had a bunch of fans blowing on the animals and the kitty I purchased had a small wound on his side.

Wish I could leave no stars! Rabbits were improperly identified and labeled, had NO hay and there were 4 to one tiny cage. All 4 had to share a water bottle, rabbits should have a BOWL of water. They huddled over to me because they were hungry. Was there for 15 minutes and still had no food refilled. Seems like they do little to no research on their animals. 3 kittens were kept in a tiny cage for 10 minutes while a worker cleaned a cage. They could barely move! Very poor quality of living for these poor animals. ADOPT, DON'T SHOP! Don't support neglectful animal businesses!

They are so knowledgeable and friendly. They made buying just the right fish a breeze for us newbie aquarium owners, also helping to calm my son's desire to dump a bunch of fish into the tank right away. They have great decorations, and when I bought a air pump with sponge, they gave me a sponge from one of their tanks to help cycle the water faster. I won't go anywhere else for my fish! They also have cheap refills on fish flakes!

I bought two young female pet white mice from the community tank about a month ago. They are so sweet! It took only a day for them to start taking snacks from my hand. I’m impressed with how happy, healthy and social they are. The young woman who assisted me was knowledgeable and very nice. This is a great non chain pet shop to visit and buy from.

PLEASE READ: sharing...read from another review post...Made a quick stop this morning to Pet Connection in Alliance Ohio. This isn't the first time that I have been here, but every time I have been, the conditions have always been the same. Today around 10 am I stopped by and the temperatures were already in the mid 70s. When we got there the back door to get outside, where the puppies were kept, hadn't even been opened yet. The conditions of the animals infuriates me. Here are some of the images I took this morning. Most all of the dogs are kept outside and are out there year round. None of them had food and only one or two had water. There was feces in all of the kennel runs and they were sitting in it. Most all of the dogs had very dry noses. When a dog's nose is dry it commonly means that they are sick or there are underlying health issues. The three bulldogs that were kept inside did have water but they were kept in a wire bottom cage with only a small blanket, these grid floors can cause leg and foot injuries. There were two boxers in the back room that were being kept in a TRASH CAN. Not only were there issues with the dogs and how they were kept, but the small animals were also being kept in bad conditions. The mice were in fish tanks and there were too many in one tank. The reptile tanks were over stacked. The tarantulas were in a tank, within small plastic containers with little holes punched in them. This is no way to keep ANY animal. No one in their right minds would think that it is okay to keep animals in these conditions. The staff weren't even going out to clean up the kennels.

I love this pet store! I try to stop in once a week or every other to get my dogs their biljac dogs treats. They are pretty good about ordering in what your wanting if they don't have it and if they can get it at a reasonable price. My brother goes there for most of his fishing supplies. Yes I can get most of that stuff off Amazon. But lately I'm fed up with them always delivering my items late or to the wrong house. It is so much faster to swing in while I am in Alliance on errands. I also get all my pets vaccines their. Well not rabbies but that's OK.

Do not take your pets there to be groomed!!!! Had my dogs there the other day. Not only did she charge almost double what my normal groomer charges, when I got them home, I noticed all the scrapes, gashes and clipper burn so bad, that I had to go buy spray for it and when that didn't work, we eventually had to take them to the vet. This person should not be allowed to groom animals! I have reported this place to the appropriate agencies. Do NOT go there!

I bought an iguana a few days ago, Wednesday to be exact, and I feel the workers just aren't as educated as they should be or should at least have the resources to help out the customers. The Iguana i got is tiny, probably a hatchling and fits on my finger, i currently have it in a 55 gallon fish take, which when talking to the manager, she informed me the tank was too big, which it was not. They recommend the bigger space for iguanas within the first year. Then, the manager and workers allowed me to buy a heat rock, which i understand they are a company and want business, but heat rocks aren't good for reptiles and shouldn't be bought for them. They should have informed me, to keep harm from coming to my new pet. Lastly, i had to get a light for my iguana. And they couldn't even tell me the wattage needed for the animal, they just told me the most expensive light kit would work. Instead of focusing on money and being shady, focus on educating your customers and making sure they have a valuable experience. I can assure you, the company will thrive more so.Edit: On May 6th, the iguana I bought had a respiratory infection when i got it and ended up passing on. They also don't offer guarantees on reptiles.

They have a ton of fish and birds to choose from. They have reptiles, rats, mice bunnies and guinea pigs. Snakes and lizards and turtles. They truly have an impressive amount of animals and supplies for them. Prices aren't crazy high or low, but it's a local business so I choose it over corporate. People are nice and friendly. Live mice and rats in the back with a few hamsters. They sometimes have kittens and puppies. Only downside is pulling in and parking, be careful not to scrape your bumper trying to get in.

When entering it looks like a hostel from a horror movie. They have a weird selection of animals, which could be good(in a way) for example who knows how to take care of a sting ray. And to adopt a kitten from there u have to drop atleast $150. I mainly went to check out a bearded dragon, and they want $140 for an adult. You can buy a baby for $80 at pet supplies plus, and at pet supplies they are much cleaner, and knowledgeable about their inventory.

I had to run in to get crickets for my son's bearded dragon and they were not very happy ti be working that day or something. I got the crickets, paid and got my change without so much as a smile or thank you. No how can I help you, no words except to tell me they only had large crickets. What ever happened to service with a smile? I smiled and thanked them for helping me anyways and went out the door.

Horrible absolutely horrible. Me and my fiancé went there to bring home a hedgehog. The lady wouldn’t even let us touch her, she said we would of gotten stabbed. I asked if they had gloves to wear to at least pet him to see his temperament. We never got to touch her then when we tried to take it home with us she said that we couldn’t have it. Then we tried to get a ferret she said the same thing we aren’t allowed to have it that it needs to be In the store.

We have always had pets, and I have kept, and bred, all kinds of fish. And so I was curious to check out the pet store that's so close to our new home. We stopped the first time simply because we were out, we're curious, and had time to stop and look around.I'm glad we did.Everyone here was friendly, polite, and super helpful even though we didn't buy anything.Although not a huge place, they've got stuff in every nook and cranny they can find. And, although they don't have as much dog and cat stuff as some of the "super stores," they've got stuff for reptiles, ferrets, and other animals that the big stores do not. But most of all, they've got a ton of fish and aquarium supplies. I've been in a lot fish stores and if you keep fish, these folks are a "must stop" kind of a place. And they seem to have just as many salt water fish as they do fresh water.Also, when we stopped the first time, we saw a promotion for a Sunday special (actually, every other Sunday) on nail trimming for your dog. So we came back on Sunday with our two dogs. Once again they were super nice. We we're in and out in no time and the dogs did better for them than they do with us. Even more impressive, the man behind us had a dog in the car that was either too big or too shy to come in the store so the groomer followed him out and trimmed his dogs nails in the back seat of the car. I've never seen service like that anywhere else.You can be sure that we'll be back.
