Wow, who doesn't like heggys. The milkshakes and French fries and AGHHHHH chocolate. Now I need to go there. I'm hungry. All kinds of chocolates . The food was excellent here! Everything was cooked perfect and tasted great. The butter fries brought back memories of when I was a kid and ate there. All the staff was very friendly and smiling. The best part though was the dessert because we got a couple pounds of their chocolate and it was amazing. I especially enjoyed the caramel chocolates, raspberry cream, as the marshmallow. The price is low for the quality of food you get. Give them a try!

Update (5 stars):Since my original post more than a year ago, this has gone from an excellent find to a bi-monthly delight. The milkshakes are to die for, the food is always good, and I can't leave without first buying a few chocolates to go. So far our favorites are the mac and cheese (we order it every time now), the large filet fish or small square fish sandwiches. Both are good. The sausage sandwich (be warned though that it has no red sauce..... Which is how I prefer it anyways). The grilled cheese sandwiches are perfect. We didn't like the butter fries but I know other people love them..... We just don't like butter on our fries. And the chili was a no go for us and we love chili at most places. Also.... Beware if you order anything with extra or without items because they never seem to come out right. We avoid this though by just ordering all our favorites that don't need altered.Original Post (5 stars)Went there for the first time and the waitress was very helpful and provided excellent recommendations. food was good and well priced. They offer a little bit of everything to eat and we enjoyed looking at the pictures of all the past alliance carnation queens on the walls. Neat link to the alliance community. Will definitely be back often.

First time here. The food was pretty good staff are great nice mom n pop feeling in there. Than eye balling candy counter while time! Lol. So when paid bill couldn't help but look at the flavor selection lol next thing I know I'm walking out 2.5lbs chocolate. Omg! But it's good. Think found some Xmas presents this year and they have gift boxes and wrapped them for me was only $1.15 for the box and wrapped can't beat that. Go in and enjoy. I'll be back

An Alliance staple. Their Buckeyes are amazing. Breakfast was good with low prices. Service was excellent. We bought a ton of chocolate to take back to Colorado. Definitely stop in if you're craving something sweet.

First time I came here several months ago. Perfect service and food. Today I was disappointed as well as my guest. My onion rings order was much smaller than the one brought out before mine. My guest ordered butter fries. Huge disappointment. One very tiny pat of butter on skinny fries,in a small plate. Only a few tasted buttery. I ordered a dietv coke . Server forgot. And yet brought refills.of drinks to other tables. Something is wrong here. I was very kindthroughout. Never complained except they were out of flavors of ice creamwanted. Still nice about it though. Check came to 8. And change. I left 3.00 yip anyay. Pernayhe staff thought because was old Im.not a good tipper. Never been that way in my life. Cooks spent more time laughing than paying attention to their jobs perhaps though happiness on the job is important. I had server last time I was here. Shes outstanding thenI left 15 that time. Because I was in extra good mood. Even cashier didn't ask how everything was. That gave mr clue. Please dont judge customers how they dress. Or sound. If that was what was going on. Hopefully not. You've done better Heggys . TyPs there was a horrible high pitch ring in the sound system or something else. Very bothersome.

Where to start. Been a Heggys fan for 40 years. Candy side. Went to the resturant today. First time ordering from menue and wanted ice cream as well. Had a bad experience. So much went wrong. Not going to list it all. But that hi pitch sound was so loud. Only thing that went ring was paying the bill and getting out of there. We won't be back. Didn't even get any candy we just wanted out of there.

First time ordering from there I didn't expect much. However the portions were enormous for such a great price. The food was phenomenal as well! I'm not a fan of shrimp but I loved it! The fish was juicy and flavorful! My boyfriend saod the coleslaw was the best he ever had. The milkshakes are to die for! And the fries are just like you would get from a fair! Best food in town!

Local favorite, family owned. Been coming here for over 30 years. Tonight they were having a school fundraiser. It was packed. Food good as always. Got the butter fries and a patty melt. Can't come here and not get the butter fries. They have a large dessert menu, ice cream, sundaes, shakes etc. It's all good

Had a wonderful breakfast. Waitress was super easy to get along with and they had homemade ice cream so I got butter picon on my Belgium waffle. It is about 45 minute drive for me but I guarantee I will be having breakfast there quite often.

Too expensive for what they have to offer. Deep fry oil needed changed, fries were soggy and tasted like a combo of fish and onions. Initial order was messed up, but made right. I don't see myself going back again.

It has been about 6 years since we were there the last and this time will be the last time we will go there. The hotdogs were cold , the buttered fries came warm with a little chunk of butter that barely melted and wasn't even enough to coat the fries. The hotdogs weren't as good of quality as they were back then. And the food back then was actually served hot. Server was very polite but very slow.

Went there today and almost every booth and table was full. There was one waitress, and she was phenomenal. She ran that place like clockwork. And I mean she ran !! There were five of us and we were in no hurry whatsoever, so we told her just take your time with us, take care of the other ones and then come back.She also got help from the guy in the back which was clearing the tables for her, and the girl behind the candy counter came out and helped also. When we did order and got our food , it couldn’t have been better. !!!!! it was good and hot, was exactly what we asked for, and well, well worth the wait.We all were very impressed with our visit, and it sure won’t be the last.Thank you, thank you, NANCY. You were excellent.

Stopped by while traveling at the suggestion of family members, was NOT DISAPPOINTED! They have amazing root beer, some of the tastiest ice cream I've ever encountered, and candies that are worth having shipped (call the store directly to inquire about shipping). Food was typical diner fare, and above average. Burgers have a nice charred flavor, butter fries were good, dogs were great. The candies and ice cream are the real stars here, along with the uber-friendly staff. I know what I'll be having shipped once cooler weather arrives!

Great food at the restaurant and great candy too. I ordered candy for holiday office gifts even though I am no longer local. It was hassle free to order, it was delivered on time, and it came beautifully wrapped and ready to give out. My office loves receiving their candy every year. I highly recommend it.
