Stopped in for a quick break. Delightful menu and best service. Had the eggnog latte (decaf) with almond milk and it was everything I thought it should be. A nice pick me up on a cold December day. I don't really leave reviews often but I just wanted to say that as someone who hasn't left the house in weeks due to health issues and probably suffering from cabin fever,I walked in not realizing it was 6 minutes to close and everyone was so nice. They took and made my order even if it put closing back a little bit and I was on my way. It really helped and I appreciate it more than yall know.

The good: Ladies at the counter were super sweet!The bad: Had a to-go order. The food was terrible. Took two bites and threw the rest away.I won’t go back, but I do commend the ladies at the counter for their top notch customer service!

Food was good but the guy with the ponytail at the restaurant was rude I was asking about if they had the T-Shirts in a large I was very polite and the guy was like hold your horses I am making your food I am sorry but I work in the food business and I would never talk to a customer rudely and this was my first time at this place and it didn’t feel welcoming and I won’t come back if staff will be rude! The lady who sold the shirt and beanie was nice!

Best coffee around! The mustards and sauces are to die for! I have one of each at home they are so good and versatile! they're totally awesome for gifts too! Super easy to ship! The food is always hot and fresh! Every time I am in town I make sure to stop for a hot and fresh sandwich! Keep up the amazing work guys!3

Everything is usually fine other than when the new lady that's been here for about 3 months still acts like it's her first day everyday and if she has to cook expect your food to be TRASH. I work across the street and actually love the food when it's made properly and also entered into the system properly. I don't wish anyone losing their job but I don't think this job is remotely close to a job she should be working.

Guy working remade half a guy's sandwich that fell on the floor, even though it wasn't his fault. Did it without the customer saying anything.My daughter got an awesome grilled cheese with bacon that she loved. Gave us a free cupcake because it was almost closing time.Love this place. Made me feel good on a not great day.

It's hard to rate this place. I want to give it 5 stars for the food selection and location but the extremely limited hours make it hard for me to recommend or want to support them. It's attached to the downtown library which I frequent a lot but this place is usually closed when I'm looking for somewhere to chill with a book and grab lunch or coffee. I don't understand the reasoning in being closed so often and I would love to see something here that accommodated the library crowd and made better use of the premium location.

Came here for a quick lunch on a Friday. Should have realized it was no good by the complete lack of customers. I ordered coffee for myself and Mom and a BLT for Mom. Mom said it was the worst sandwich she ever ate in her life. She didn’t finish. She said the coffee “wasn’t bad”. I thought it was pretty dismal. This after the server had me looking all over the cafe for sugar and creamer (which wasn’t there) and finally shared a pitcher of half and half and some sugar. Not worth trying.Dietary restrictions: No gluten free options

I needed a place to hang for an hour or so. I was looking for a pastry to go with coffee, but it was not something they had and a cookie was not what I had in mind. The server offered a bagel and cream cheese as a suggestion. I guess they usually use them for breakfast sandwiches. It really hit the spot and the medium roast coffee was excellent for a coffee wimp like me. Everything was served quickly and my odd questions about how long they had been around, were answered enthusiastically with additional information shared without asking. I never felt rushed and the food and coffee was served quickly. I very much enjoyed my visit and plan to come back as I have additional days in Akron where I need to kill some time.

We had a Groupon. The staff had NO idea how to redeem it. Then blamed the lack of knowledge on the owner. The hotdogs were mediocre at best for the prices. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here again. In fact... I wouldn't go here again at all. The food wasn't worth the money or the trip.

I’m confused about the reviews. I work across the street and wanted to try something new and explore. I ordered a strawberry and banana smoothie which was watery 👎🏾 I order a chicken wrap with sour cream it says it comes chopped up chicken the pieces were huge and they used a huge tortilla so it wasn’t filled all the way lettuce was huge not chopped and the chips were okay but they wasn’t made by them. I usually don’t leave reviews but these reviews being this good and the food was nasty had too and plus my stomach is hurting now

I can't say that this cafe was good. I had ordered a hot dog ( $5 not hot) that was called The Snowden. It wasn't really all that good. It was cold and it also had some type of relish that wasn't good at all. It's a great spot for a cafe but looking around at the different items they had didn't give off a good vibe. One muffin in showing in the food case apples just strewn about. The presentation of each item was good at all. The counters could have been wiped off being that there were only two people behind it and it looked like there wasn't anyone else at the counter but me. A little disappointed. I was hoping to get a better experience there.

Came here for lunch and got a chili dog without the bun, a side salad and fresh-brewed iced tea. Service was great, food was delicious. The homemade salad dressing (a mustard vinaigrette, I believe?) was DELICIOUS, as well as the mustard on the hot dog. I stock the mustard regularly, can't be beat for burgers and dogs. It has a nice bite!

Dined at the Bounce Innovation Hub location and had the Cuban sandwich. Best Cuban in the area that uses pulled pork!! Their house made mustards and pickles are there as well on this sandwich. So good!!

Plus) Parking lot next to coffee shop. In a busy/popular area so lots of other restaurants or shops nearby. Plenty of seats, but maybe try to get there early or when it's more of a slow hour so it's not too crowded. Try the "honey bear latte" - literally SO good haha, I usually get them iced vs hot. Staff is very friendly and the coffee shop is very clean and modern.

This might be the worst food I've ever eaten. I ordered through Uber Eats and took one bite of several different item's we purchased and spit them all out. The so called corn beef they gave me looked like bacon and didnt taste like any meat ive ever eaten. If I could give -5 star i would. Anyone giving this place a star for their food must be paid or friends of owners because this food was disgusting on ever level and there is no possible way someone could eat it and go umm this is good. Noone that ordered this food with us that night more than one bite of their orders and we were all waiting to get food poisoning the next day. Thankfully that didn't happen.

You must stop at Stray Dog Cafe whether you're visiting the library, (the Cafe is in the library near the front entrance on Main Street) or downtown for lunch or just coffee. There are gourmet hotdog choices, vegetarian and vegan choices, as well as salads and sandwiches, rice bowls, and a variety of pickles by Akron Pickle. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Plenty of seating and a clean restaurant. The prices are very reasonable.They also have their own line of mustards, including honey mustard made with Akron Honey Co. honey. Charley Murphy, the co-owner and creator of the menu, is a wonderful guy and definitely "makes Akron more Akrony"!! Also look for them at events with their Stray Dog Carts! The menu is changed up for each event.I highly recommend Stray Dog Cafe.

I visited Stray Dog on a Wednesday afternoon and ordered a traditional hotdog with Mac and cheese on top. About the food. I haven't tasted a better hot dog in Akron and the Mac and cheese made took me back to my days in South Carolina where Mac and cheese is a vegetable. The outdoor and indoor seating make Stray Dog a comfortable place for an informal business meeting or to soak up some vitamin D on a lunch break (when the sun does shine in NE Ohio 😉). They serve some local bottles drinks and their very own condiments! The smooth and efficient process at the counter made for a peaceful visit and helped me get off to my next stop quickly. Stray Dog is a great fit for the downtown scene.

the owner is a real jackass‼️called my sisters phone when she was picking up another dash and started cussing her out, then played the defense when she saw him in person. Next time boss man be professional you don’t know what people doing‼️‼️‼️

Had fun guy wrap and it was delicious and healthy the food and atmosphere were great along with friendly staff. Try them out lots for your tastebuds. I'll be back and recommend stray dog.
