Well from what I've heard in store conversations, That this is the top store within the city! North Hill is the international side of Akron. Which makes the shopping experience unique. Honest opinion it's a great store run with an outstanding staff. My favorite associate is the new guy always smiling!

The cashier was so rude! She stood there, watched people steal and didn't bother them but walked by me more than once being rude and making comments she had no reason to make! I will never go there again!!

I absolutely love my visit at Save-A-Lot.it wasn't claimed. they had just what I needed. the Associates very nice and helpful. You can even get liquor and wine in this Save-A-Lot it's amazing.

You can acquire grocery items, some name brand, others not, at a significantly reduced price. I purchased Nathan's Beef jumbo hot dogs and thin center cut pork chops at a really good price. Take your own bags and prepare to wait a bit longer in line. It's worth a visit regardless of your financial circumstances.

The employees are very nice very helpful they will help you find whatever you're looking for if you can't find it the store is very clean I've never had a problem with them I just missed the old crew they used to work there some are there and some are gone I thought they were doing a great job but there is a few things that could be better food prices are getting more expensive it seems to me that the things that you love to eat is the things that's more expensive and it's a way that management tries to get you to try something different because it's cheaper. Myself I'm one person in my house and I only make $23 a month on food stamps and I can't buy the things I like to eat because they're too expensive that $23 can only buy so much, they say that it's not supposed to stock your shelves at home that there's food pantries but I love the store on East tallmadge avenue it's a very nice store I walk there from my home because I have no vehicle and it's only two and a half blocks away from my home. Now their prices might be cheaper than acme or Giant eagle but their meats their steaks are very good.

You definitely get more for your money at Save A Lot! And even the name brand's are cheaper their.If you want to save on your grocery items always start there. Even the store brand's can be just as tasty as the name brand's that have been around forever. A great comparison is oatmeal, bacon and condiments.

The food isn't as high quality or cheap as Aldi. Although it's not the best deals, this location is clean and secure. Usually well stocked. They take WIC and SNAP.

The store is pretty much always stocked with nothing out in the aisles blocking travel. It seems when I go, there's only one cashier. I don't know if it's always like that, but it seems like it. No matter what cashier I have encountered, I've had a pleasant experience. There used to be an Amazon locker there, but it's gone. I used it often.The thing that trips me up is that the first thing you see when you walk out of the store is a trash can and customers still leave their trash in the shopping cart.

I like the store, however it states open 24 hours, so I come out at 11:15pm only to find it closed. What are the current hours of operation? The lack of cashiers is a definite issue. I generally stop for a couple items and wait behind multiple people with full carts, I often give up and go elsewhere. I would shop at the Tallmadge ave location if it had consistent hours and more cashiers available.

Under new management despit being 24hrs the quality of food matches the prices and savings. As of new management save a lot is no longer 24hrs as it once was traffic is still congested but hey you don't have to pay a quarter any more for a cart

I feel like they need a better produce isle as well as the first isle is very unorganized. Other than that the workers are helpful and always smiling

Only been here a couple times in 2 years. Just one register open and a long line of people buying out the store when I only need a couple items I hold I my arms. Last week it was the same, even late in the evening, and there was something wrong with the register to boot. Put back my items and left. They need a 10 items or less lane and keep more registers running. I so miss Acme!

I USED toshop here 5/6 nights a week. UPDATE. Since the new owners took over Save-A-Lot it has completely went downhill. Absolute garbage. Completely change store hours and they can't even stay open until the appropriate time. The store on Tallmadge Avenue closes at 11 PM but the staff takes it upon themselves to close at 10 p.m. whenever they feel like it. Used to be a great store to shop at now I wouldn't recommend it to an enemy

The experience at this place made me see how other's can be disregarded not actually knowing the next person's abilities. When I was just here with a family member buying groceries a female from India did a very harsh look at my family member as if she was to enforce some type of authority over her. As well as being made to wait, something I've done myself with cashiers when I've forgot a item. Yet at the same since life is life and it is beautiful smiling, laughing, and enjoying your team's we all have.

The selection of items are cool, but the store isn’t very neat. I saw ripped bags of fries and fries all over the inside of the freezer. I don’t know if it was due to the fact that it was around 1 in the morning, but the staff weren’t very friendly or welcoming. Maybe I’ll just try to come during regardless hours maybe my experience will change.

This is the place I normally shop. Every once in a while I can't find what I want.. But it's got all my staples.. They redid the floor plan, and I still can't adjust, or find those cheap tortilla chips I liked.. (they weren't swimming in salt) the vegetable area is great.I stopped coming inside stores during the pandemic and went to only curbside for a year.. But that takes planning and I needed something..Near the end of shopping all the lights went out because of the storm. Lol.. One register still had power, yay. So I could still get my stuff while the staff calmly got others to the door..

I shop many different locations but, if I want my dollar to REALLY GO FURTHER , Save A Lot is THE PLACE to go. I literally get 2 to 3 times the food as compared with anyone else!

They're reworking the interior layout and will be painting soon, so it'll be even nicer inside than it was. Definitely the place to go for good groceries and good prices.

Great groceries! Fresh fruit, soft bread, cold beer, and even a small selection of wines. The store and parking lot were both clean, and the all three of the employees that I came into contact with on my visit were friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks!

It's super inexpensive here! Get my carts loaded for about $100 and eating like royalty for a week. Some might scoff at the discount type grocers but you can't beat the prices, and it's pretty good quality generics.. They do carry some name brands, like cereal and munchies. Open 24 hours again! Be sure to bring a quarter for the carts! And bring your own bags or snag a box while shopping, bags are only like 5 cents. Recommend for thrifty eaters!

Mostly non courteous employees. No sense of urgency. Really just overall sub par. Would rather shop at a more expensive grocery store due to the lack of just about everything with the staff here. Some managmenr and guest service would take this place very far. As for produce and bang for your buck. Hard to beat. But still the terrible service spoils all of that appeal.

Relatively large Save-a-lot. The carts are nice. Good selection. However the produce was covered in fruit flies and when I grabbed a ground beef chub, I touched blood. Cashier piled things on top of our frozen pizza and cracked it.

The selection wasn't great but the people working there were super helpful. I'm from out of town and didn't know you needed a quarter to unlock the carts and there are no have baskets, the cashier gave me the quarter so I could buy groceries. She also helped me find what I needed.
