Best local grocery store around! Always getting new products in , also Always have the easiest perks program available.,you can use perks for discounts,such as, reduced gas prices and digital coupons! I would be extremely upset if I could no longer shop there for the best products. Their customer service is hands down the best in every way,fro returns to simple money orders...Giant Eagle is a one stop shop for your family!!!

Clean establishment offering many grocery items from fresh fruits, veggies, cold, frozen items, hot foods, seafoods, meats, cheeses, desserts and more! Floral dept. Liquor store, wines, beers and many other spirits to choose from! Friendly staff. Perishable and non perishable items. Lottery ticket sales and service. Good customer services. Hook yourself up with their membership card, it's free and you can start saving even more so! Highly recommend this location to others. My favorite Giant Eagle store in Akron. A table full of rotted oranges greets you as you walk into the fruits and vegetables section, and the leafy greens are often weeks past fresh. If you're looking for quality steaks, they never have any good cuts. I never get fried or rotisserie chicken from the deli because it's always overcooked (at least you won't get salmonella poisoning, I guess). The mens bathroom has a puddle of urine on the floor Every. Single. Time. I use the restroom there. The people that work there are friendly and helpful enough, but if you've got enough gas in your car, you might want to drive to Green or Cuyahoga Falls Market Districts because this place is kind of a dump.

The lady who was at customer service today she had gray hair older lady with glasses. She was completely judgmental and I thought very rude in the way she acted towards me. She refused to let me pay a bill because I didn't have the physical bill I had a electronic bill with all the info. Who carries bills around ?? I don't get a paper bill . I've paid it before no issue but she told me she been doing this for years and said I couldn't have paid it here so basically accusing me of lying. She has been judgemental before another time she waited on me also .Please don't put people in customer service who are rude and judgemental .

The Giant Eagle on Waterloo road is so small the selection isn't very good and they rarely have things marked down like manager specials and same Day sales, like the Giant Eagle on 5th Street does. Plus the deli and hot food section at the Barberton location is a lot bigger than the one on Waterloo Rd .On 02/15/24 I made what I thought was going to be a quick visit however they had two cashiers working and real long lines waiting for the cashier. The people who tried to use self-checkout didn't know how so they kept holding things up, then the two cashiers moved so slow I can't blame them they don't make that much money but still my ice cream melted I was trying to purchase some shrimp and fish and I finally said the hell with it and told him to put their items back because they're warm now I don't even trust them or want them.And I'll bet all they did was go put them back on the shell even though they knew they were warm and that it was fresh meat.

I just got followed around the store on E. Waterloo by security. This is not the first time. I usually don't go to this location, but I don't have transpo at the moment. I wasn't in the store for 20 min. I guess being in my late 40's, black, at 7:30a, with a shopping bag was suspicious.

Favorite grocery store. They carry boca burgers and Walden farms which are my favorite brands so that's great. Plus they have killer weekly savings and coupons. Moving here from az, I lost my favorite grocery stores but giant eagle. Quickly replaced them all!

They don't open the majority of their self checkouts anymore and also don't have enough registers open to avoid long lines. Usually my go to store, but the checkout process is making me rethink this.

Doing 1 star only cause you can't leave 0. The customer service in this place is a joke. The cashiers are poorly trained. The customer service desk is rude no one ever in the floral dept. And the overall cleanliness and attitude of the staff and store is beyond ridiculous. I will not be back. I will shop outside of my neighborhood just to avoid ever having to return here. My son went into the restroom and came right back out due to literal feces on the floor. I'm sure it was just no one's job. Seems like that mentality is what runs things there.

Ran in to the floral department, the lady working was so helpful, nice, smiling, and went out of her way to make sure I got what I wanted. She boxed it with tissue paper and made it so nice. She didn't have to do that. But it was fantastic. She didn't mind doing her job and went beyond what she had to do. I thank her so much. If there were more people like that in the workplace/in the world, it would be a better place.

Very disappointed. This is the second time they have forgotten to make a birthday cake. This is completely unacceptable. Then the two cakes they offered were stale. Not even able to eat. I am extremely upset. On the phone they were rude and could have cared less. Never will I get another cake from here.

They really get no stars, I bought chicken 150 pieces and it was all burnt called the same day and every week up until now to let them know, the store manager Mike refused to help replace the chicken or even give me a discount I would never order from them again they don't care to take care of their customers

It’s… fine? Their alcohol selection is good and I love all the employees in there. The discounted bakery goods are always a win. My issues: no baskets and no smaller carts at this location (though they DO have a few carts with baby carrier holders). Also I hate the way they stock items. If an item is out of stock they just put something else in its place, it’s annoying and can also be confusing. They also cannot do exchanges without a receipt or giant Eagle card. Even if you paid with a card. And the item was clearly bought from s giant eagle. Lastly there’s a really mean older lady that works self check out and will yell at you for no reason. And I’m good at self check outs! She just seems like she takes out her anger on customers which isn’t okay.

Always helpful in this store......This was a post I posted a while back & up untill today I thought it stood true. The manager accused me of stealing my OWN gloves. Everything she said I had in my hands to so called steal, I put back because I didn't want to spend my money today on make-up. I was told I am no longer allowed in this store.I DID NOTHING!!! How can they get away with accusing people of doing something they didn't do!? That's slander. She looked pretty stupid when she looked at my gloves & they weren't the same as the store's!My gloves are thicker & better, just a little dirty from wearing them.This manager needs an attitude adjustment, she tried to catch someone doing something & couldn't so now I'm just band from the store? Because she looked stupid... Stupid is as stupid does!!!

I really had a nice time. I got day old hamburger buns. Some o will use now and the others I will freeze. Also I got some great chocolate chip cookies. I got a small bottle of egg nog that I'll use in my coffee tomorrow morning, so much cheaper than Starbucks. Also, I won $100 in their lotto machine. And they gave me a $2 off the roasted chicken I bought. A nice shopping experience.

Went 8/4 to bakery to put in cake order so they had plenty of time to do what was asked from the customer however 8/5 I’m so excited to pick up my cake only to be super disappointed the decorations where sloppy not what I asked for 😔 however RON tried to make it better , and he just wasn’t satisfied about the product hisself called manager Scott to assist , Scott said he can take off for the misunderstanding, however I still paid 30.00 for the cake and my guests absolutely hated it smh can you say embarrassed , I just feel like going forward please pay attention to detail . Won’t be back
