The paint department is really amazing here. Mixed the color I needed from scratch. I started with blue that was too bright and wanted a navy blue. Came out beautiful and covered the crazy color I originally had. If you need paint go here!

Great Customer Service! Amanda was especially helpful with selecting our paint colors. ... although I hadn't been down in that area for quite some time, it was a pleasant experience. I miss all the nice, pretty things they used to sell, however. They do have a great selection of useful canning items, though, which is nice.

My house caught on fire so had to get some kilz paint an some paint brushes and to make a couple house keys. Found everything we needed. The store is well stocked and easy to find. The employees are curious and helpful and knowledgeable and always helpful to lend their help. Great location close to home, cashiers we're also curious to greet incoming customers.

Nice store, well put together and organized! Staff always available to help you find whatever you need, and they're nice people. Only thing, I miss the popcorn machine! I use to love going there to shop, and grab a hot little snack while I find whatever. Probably Covid or budget related that it's gone...definitely a bummer.

I visited this Ace Hardware to exchange a Craftsman ratchet. I purchased the ratchet from an Ace Hardware in the town I used to live in about 50 miles away. Knowing Ace Hardware honors the Craftsman lifetime warranty, I didn't think I'd have any problems exchanging the ratchet for another one similar to the broken ratchet in my hand in the new city I moved to. Upon arrival, I browsed the isles looking for a similar ratchet. I found one. I didn't take it off the shelf, I went straight to customer service to make the exchange through the proper channels. I was told by the customer service employee that they don't do Craftsman warranty exchange and don't carry Craftsman anymore. Really?! The store was full of Craftsman tools! Including the ratchet! I wouldn't recommend anyone going to any merchant that doesn't speak the truth. I took my broken ratchet to Lowe's and Lowe's exchange it easy peasy. I told the Lowe's tool rep what just happened at Ace. They were perplexed that Ace would say they don't honor the Craftsman lifetime warranty. Lowe's told me that when they don't have a specific Craftsman tool, they send customers to Ace Hardware. It was simply someone trusted in customer service was the wrong person to place in that position. If you can't be honest with your customers, someone else should fill your position that respects honesty and integrity. I purposely chose to shop at Ace to support the smaller company. Now I know why Ace is the smaller hardware store. They cannot compete with the customer service and product availability and affordability of Lowe's and Home Depot. I contacted Ace customer care on their website and got nowhere. I was told I had to exchange it at the Ace I purchased it from. Really? So the Craftsman lifetime warranty is limited to where you live? You have to drive 50 miles back to the Ace in your old town, rather than take it to the Ace that's 3 miles from where you just moved? Sorry Ace, you have horrible customer service ethics.

This particular store reminds me of the old fashioned hardware stores that were around when I was a kid and would go with my gpa to get farming supplies and hardware. They have such a great selection of unique products that range from dog treats to tools and supplies. I have noticed many of the products they carry are from quant small businesses whom offer high quality goods. The store is always clean, the customer service… outstanding and also professional. My dogs love going there because they know they are going to get a delicious treat from the staff and lots of attention. Thank you for being the helpful hardware store!

Normally this is an awesome experience. Today not so much. We got someone who definitely needs customer service training. He started getting irritated with my husband not understanding what he was saying because he literally had no knowledge. Told husband oh we don't carry those and husband pointed right to them. We've never had an experience like that ever at that store until today but probably difficult to find any help. I think this guy has anger issues. It's not okay to start talking to customers sternly if they are just asking for help. Needs Dale Carnegie course+

I just walked out of ellet Ace very disappointed. I went there for a couple gallons of paint. I walked in and stood at the paint selections with no help offered which would normally be fine if there hadn't been a woman working the paint counter on her phone not paying attention to me. Then a young guy walked up and was so hyper talking about personal stuff with his coworker and they both looked at me and again, neither offered help. I said excuse me and held my hand up as the guy made eye contact with me and continued his conversation. I left my Cart and took my kids and left. I will be back to ace because I love the prices but I am very irritated and disappointed. Those staff members should be more considerate.

Bought a house about 3 minutes from here. So naturally, doing all of the new house stuff, I have been here and will be continuing to go here as it's close and the staff are extremely helpful. Every time I've gone in, someone was able to tell me exactly what I need and what I needed to do with no problems and it usually worked. If not, I could go back and return the wrong parts or equipment for the new stuff with no issues and still get my project done. They are incredibly helpful and convenient.

A very nice, locally owned hardware store. They are much smaller than the big box retailers, but the have just about anything you'd need - other than drywall, lumber and home furnishings.The staff here is always friendly and most are very knowledgeable. The shelves are always stocked and aisles always clear.They may not have a bunch of what you need, but the chances are they're going to have at least one option.The Ellet area is very fortunate to have Hoffman's Ace Hardware in the neighborhood.

I do love that they seem to hire retired tradesmen that know what they're doing. I've never had one of them steer me wrong. Try getting that service at a big box store (if you can even find someone to help you). The prices are a bit higher but you make up for price by not having to make extra trips because they sold you the wrong thing!!! Keep up the great work!!

Best hardware store. Very helpful employees. The two men in paint are always super sweet and patient. The gentleman in plumbing, who used to be a plumber by trade actually gave me his cell phone number so I could send pictures and he helped me step by step to install a bathtub faucet. You cant find employees like these guys anywhere. I'll pay a little more than big box stores for this kind of neighborhood help.

I am trying to refinish a well weathered outdoor bench. All I want to do is sand it and put a clear coat on it. There were so many options on YouTube, while helpful, I was completely confused. This is my first time doing this. I was happy sanding. My husband gave me a wire brush to use, but no details. He said I over brushed and should use the sander. The pad fell off the sander. I went to Lowe’s and got a pad - it was the wrong pad. I returned it and got the correct one. The man at Lowe’s was helpful, but I was lucky to find someone to help me.I went home, put the pad on and began sanding. The pad popped off and my husband said it couldn’t be fixed. I was so frustrated. This shouldn’t be such a project. I felt so lost.I went to visit my daughter in Ellet today. Ace Hardware - I knew I could get help there from a store that sells hardware. I was referred to a sales person who helped me choose a sander. The one he showed me was the least expensive. He said it would do the job. That was easy. I asked him about finishing products. He sent me over to the person who handled that. I showed her a pic of the bench and told her the effect I wanted. She told me how to prepare the bench and sold me Thompson’s water seal. Simple.The moral of the story: go to Ace Hardware where you can get help from someone who knows how to help you. Ace has people who are patient and take the time to explain the process and the products needed to do your project.

I love this place. Great people, soo helpful. I am terrified to leave my dog in the car. She is my everything. They allowed me to bring her in for a short time and they help me find a very old sweeper belt, that I couldn't find on line.
