The pharmacy is great, but... I'm a disabled 61 yr old female. One day I came in for 2 cartons of Coke. Picked up a tiny package of denture liner, which I sat on top of my purse so it wouldn't fall out. On the way to the register I got out my wallet and phone to verify I had the funds, which I did. Wasn't feeling so well so headed straight to register. After checking out I went to grab the bag with the denture liner, and thought she must not have given it to me. Then I realized it's because I didn't give her the denture liner. Before I could turn around to say anything I was being detained and hustled to the back of the store. Picture taken, banned from the premises, and wasn't even allowed to purchase my denture liner. Mind you I never even left the store with my "loot". I stopped and realized what had happened before I went out the door. The security girl who stopped me was very nice, considering, but really! She said corporate will render a decision. All this for a $5.99 item that was still safe and secure on their property the whole time. Well I had a decision to make also. Where to transfer my 10 or so regular blood pressure and heart meds to. Even though I'm allowed to go to the drive thru, they give me my refills in a large paper bag, and it won't fit in the tube. I'm just not feeling it.Summa pharmacy here I come.

For the most part I love this little store. I usually find everything I need and it’s close to home.That being said, I do agree with some of the other reviews. The cashiers in front are very friendly typically. Once in a blue moon there is a cranky one. One day there was a very nice, young man working on register one. He was fast, friendly and efficient and it was funny because he made a comment about the young female cashier on register two saying all she does is slack off. He is by far the best employee I’ve seen in the front in a while. There was another younger female who told me what the best days are to get sale items not only at Drug Mart but also at Acme which I appreciated but thought it was strange to upsell another store.The pharmacy…I don’t even know where to begin. Slow is not even the proper word for it. Seems like they change pharmacy staff a lot. There used to be a really nice male pharmacist but I received a call one day saying they put one of my son’s medications in with someone else’s and whoever they gave it to returned it. Therefore, it was a HIPPA violation and I haven’t seen that guy since. Sad because I feel like the pharmacy ran smoother when he was there. There was also a very nice (possibly Indian) woman that I haven’t seen in a while either. She was very fast and friendly also. The other day I waited an entire hour for meds that I was told would be done in 15 minutes. I understand things happen but this happens almost every time.Weekends are the worse as far as the pharmacy goes. The blonde pharmacist has an attitude. One woman had to ask for them to run her prescription through Good RX because she didn’t have 100.00 to pay for it. The male pharmacist automatically does that. The staff is just clueless.i watch them run around spending ten minutes looking for a script, looking in the computer, asking the pharmacist where it is, it’s a mess..The drive thru situation is weird. Sometimes you sit there forever also. I do not like that there is no window and you can’t actually see the person. I switched to Drug mart because CVS was slow as heck too. Now Drug mart is worse than CVS ever was.Whoever manages the pharmacy needs to start managing the workers back there. It’s a mess.

Three times now....THREEEE...I've attempted to use the drive thru to get a prescription and nobody ever answers. I understand if they're super busy, it taking a few mins or whatever but at LEAST acknowledge the customer and tell them you'll be with them as soon as possible. You don't leave people sitting out there with nothing. I ended up going inside ( when sick ) to get meds and when I got back to pharmacy, there was only like 2 people in line and at least 3 workers besides the cashier. Why couldn't ONE of them at least acknowledged a customer? I'm ready to transfer scripts elsewhere because this pharmacy isn't the spot. Don't send your meds here...SMH

This store is so horrible for the drive through to pick up meds, no one answers, than when you walk in all the workers are in the back laughing and talking, they don’t even acknowledge the fact that someone is at the drive thru. Going in and seeing workers just standing around laughing and talking, while people are in line in the store and drive thru, please do better with this.

Went into Drug Mart to pick a few last minute items . The staff was not welcoming or helpful. After asking two separate employees for the same item and neither knew what I was talking about or where to find it. And that was that..yeah wait on my next purchase

Prices, are not as posted,the same item can be different, chichi's small bottles are different, in back on shelf is different than in Ben in frunt of store, ???? And manager has no authority to correct ????? Not professional, she seemed confused?

Saves me the run around. Discount Drug Mart has so many every day essentials as well as obscure things like Cavaliers beer, Shaq Soda, and Stacker2 Gyrating Grape. I mainly like going for the Reverse Osmosis Water 💦Be sure to take advantage of the Drug Mart rewards card. More points = more drugs.

The people that work in the store are very nice. However I have went to their pharmacy for years. I was treated very badly in the end. I switched pharmacies as of today. For two reasons. number one they treated me really bad like I was some kind of addict or something because of the type of prescriptions I get but they have no idea of what is going on with me physically and mentally. Number two they changed their generic pills to something different and they do not work. So therefore I am going to Meijer pharmacy. I have received one medication from them before that was not available at drug Mart. Not only were the people so sweet and nice but the medication was better. I hope anyone going to the store for the pharmacy gets better service than I do. And I recommend not getting generics from them if that's possible for you. I'm sorry that I have to post this. I don't like being negative towards anyone. But I can't help but tell my story so other people know!!! I hope for others that you have a different experience because the pharmacy has read this and I hope they start treating people with more respect because they don't know what's going on they only know what you're put on. Pharmacy always has medication’s on back order and cannot tell you when they are supposed to finally come in. Then they require you to try and find pharmacies that have your medication on your own. They will not help you locate it. They are also painfully slow no matter how many people are in line.

You can never find the sale items when you come in store, no one gives a dam that works there, just no help for customers when needed.Prices on the shelves don’t match adsDrug Mart you are just to hard to shop at. After being with you all these years(South Plaza Akron)I give up !!I had a list of 10 things from your ad, and found only 3 times.I just walked out leaving the cart.Good buy !!!

Coke 2-liters on sale (buy 2/get two) Sale signage markings/placement indicated Reg, Diet & caffeine free were the varieties.. register didn't accept all as sale price. Not gonna argue point with line of customers behind.. already told I misplaced items. I'll not return

Absolute worst Drug Mart in N. E. Ohio. The pharmacy treats people like they are a hassle. The medical tech on staff talks to you like youre a child and a bother to have to deal with. Even making you wait nearly a half hour so she can take a smoke break, and then putting off your prescription until she gets around to it, which is when you call a week later to see if it was ever filled. Then youre told, "oh I did it TODAY". Ya, because I called. I will NEVER go to this pharmacy again. Rudest bunch of people Ive ever had to deal with. The cashiers in front act pretty much the same. All seem as though theyve been their since they were old enough to get a job and hate every minute of their lives. The entire staff is toxic and makes the store miserable to be in.

Love the pharmacy, they treat you as if you were one of their family. The personalized service I receive there is uncommon anymore. The pharmacist David answers my questions promptly and professionally. I unfortunately get a lot of prescriptions. After trying other pharmacies I can tell you the staff are #1 in my book at this pharmacy. Friendly and conscientious is what I'm looking for. I don't leave a lot of reviews but they deserve it. Try them and see.

I'm not sure what has changed. The pharmacy staff used to be great. They would greet me promptly when I stood at the counter and go the extra mile. There is a new blonde pharmacy tech with glasses who has this thing about her I can't put my finger on it. She is not outright rude , but seems a little annoyed and dismissive. She smells like cigarettes even from standing behind plexiglass.Nothing extreme. But it's not like it used to be. Prescriptions are taking longer and longer to o get filled. It's my guess that the pharmacists are no to getting the cooperation they once we're. I'm not sure we what to can be done.

I hadn't been to this store in sometime.Finallly did today. At the register I noticed 2 employees standing there on the side.I noticed 3boxes of candy on the counter directly where customers check out. With no Greeting she asked if they were all mine..Mind you I only had a few items to check out..She removed from the counter where they shouldn't have been in the first and proceeded to check me out. Never again will I come here. Rude and Disrespectful service.Alsto whomever the manager is look on your camera and you will see the twix candy bars . And where they sit iif though they were beings stocked. Employees like this will ruin this business.

The store supervisor is not an asset to this store. Instead of being a positive, growth oriented manager, it seems he gets his point across by brow beating and berating store management. These people working at Ellet deserve respect, from customers right up to the store supervisor. The days of good supervisors like John Graycar and Dave Bergman seem to be over.

After struggling with another medical supply provider my insurance company recommended discount drug mart. I've never gone here as I always went to Walgreens. The home medical staff were EXTREMELY helpful in getting me what I needed. They didn't fight me or try to say I couldn't get the item until AFTER the procedure, they simply told me they would take care of me and they did. Laurie and Alex were especially helpful. I will never go to another durable medical supply store. Discount drug mart has exceeded my expectations and won a lifelong customer!

Was at Drug Mart on Canton Rd in Ellet. Line was backed up to 5 people waiting. Cashier came up and asked if we needed help. The lady in front of me and myself both said we needed to check out. She went to the register and just looked at it. Finally someone was paged and took care of us. I could not understand you see 5 people waiting and ask if we need help. Really!!!!

I would like to thank Lori 👏🏾in home health care for all her help. Lori was very personable with me and she showed me that she was concerned about my needs and the equipment I need. I highly recommend Lori in home care at Discount Drug Mart. One thing I like also is DDM have allot of health care items on the sales floor for your immediate viewing and purchase if insurance won’t cover.

I used to like this store above any others especially close by,but starting a CPL months ago I noticed while shopping that I was being followed by people pretending to shop,but stopping coincidentally Everytime you do,and at every end of isle. I've noticed it's 4 female's usually 2 together,but it's happened so many times there's been one that I've noticed sometimes,but 4 total,and the most recent being Christmas Eve. There's nothing worse then feeling stalked by someone creepily,and even worse when you say something to them,and not so nicely,and they act like they don't hear you,and continue on doing the same. There's times where I've Left the Store without buying anything,and tell the cashier as I'm leaving,only to get a reply of I'm sorry your not the only person who's been offended,and I as an employee have nothing to do with that,I'm anticipating the reply, b it before you do that talk to the employees instead bashing the customer. Thanks

Never rent a movie from this place! Numerous times I have, then returned the movie, they forgot to check it back in, and it makes the customer look like a thief. Then they find it, say they are sorry, etc.. As of today I done with store completely. It ain't worth the Hassel.

The people in the pharmacy are very rude and do not know how to do their job horrible customer service. I Went to CVS and had a much better experience the people there where professional and very helpful and went out of their way to call and figure out why my prescription was so expensive compared to what I normally pay. And worked it out with my insurance so that I payed nothing out of pocket.

Drug Mart is my go-to source for almost all the sales and things I need (or just want) It really is a great store. Don't let the word Pharmacy fool you, they have Medical needs like lift cairs,details, personal products for men and women, even a hardware aisle that has paint!! There's a lot of stuff in that store. I think if you want it, they most surely have it. Electronics, phone accessories, movie rental, milk,sugar-free Russel Stovers,(my fav) picture puzzles, model cars, office supplies, everything baby, I could fill this page with the stuff. they sell.I've been shopping there for years. Its close to my house. I can usually get what I need and then some. I love thelounge pants and tops they have. Very reasonable prices(in ad, the pants are only $7.99 this week) and they wear well. If DDM had fresh meat it would be a mini Wal-Mart..m

Hold over from days gone bye... This is an older DDM - reminds me of the one in N. Canton. Established location - well stocked - decent staff - just needs a face-lift - but its a trade off (keep the prices down). DDM's always had some items no other store has. If you have never been in one - go - see what they have. If you have been before - this store is on par.

Has a lot of stuff thats rather unexpected like simple kitchen items you might need, 'fresh' vegetables, like a jack of all trades store. A little of everything and surprisingly usually they have something you can use in a pinch after all the other stores are closed or about to close and there isnt enough time to get to those other places.
