Ace Hardware in Wallhaven is fairly small. The staff are helpful and usually can point you in the right direction for your project/s. I’ve gone in there looking for everything from tools to plumbing to grilling. They are quite knowledgeable. Their prices are often a little higher though.

Ace hardware here has its good days and not so good. They can’t keep check staff consistent. I had an e Perrin e with a new middle aged black fellow recently. Today he ignored waiting on me after eyeballing me for discussing a matter with a customer he was trying to ring out but struggled with. So I left my merchandise on the counter walked out saying I’ll come back when he is willing to wait on the customers in front of him. Hope he recovers from any issues he may be carrying at this new job.

DO NOT DEAL with this franchise, that is out for themselves. Please READ ON. I went into the store to return and purchase small inexpensive products. I was 6th in line to return 2 unopened garden hose repair kits that cost approximately $6.50. I was told that even though they say Ace hardware and are in perfect condition I could not even get store credit towards the nut and bolt I needed. I went and got the nut and bolt, waiting 5th in line, finally was told my total was $8.79. I did the math and it truly cost $3.79. after finally proving my point The clerk noticed he made multiple mistakes. Point is, I wasted 30 mins trying to return, and purchase less than $6.00 worth of product. Do not deal with them. There a franchise out for them self with incompetent staff. Lost a customer over $3.50. and the staff who went along with it.

This is a decent little shop. The employees always ask you what you’re looking for when you walk in and can help you find anything. Despite being a small store, they’ve got a lot of the stuff you’d need from a hardware store. Their prices are a little higher than the big box stores, but not a lot, and it’s worth it for the service and convenience.

I was in last Saturday morning to replace my barbecue propane tank that unfortunately was stolen out of my grill late last summer.Experience at Ace was top notch. When I approached the cashier to tell him what I needed, he replied with "New, correct?" I was very happy with the quality of the tank purchased. When the young man filling the propane got the tank to the filling station, I could see he was reviewing the steps in his head. So I stopped the chit chat so he was sure of himself. The first thing he needed to do was release the prefilled air pressure. Quality feature to keep the seals good until the tank was sold and filled.Solid experience.When the tank needs refilled - I know where I am coming!Well done. I know Ace is in a dogfight wit HD and Lowes, but service like this is the first step to winning that battle.FF to Labor Day Weekend - I needed my first refill of the propane tank. Kept my word - did not even consider anywhere else due to my good experience. Tank refilled - and I found out Ace charges by the pound for propane. Not a flat rate like a lot of others do. So I can top off the tank at any time and not be penalized. Outstanding!

The Ace Hardware of Wallhaven always has what I need for my projects around the house. They really fit a lot into this store; the fact that each time I see an associate within 5 seconds of walking in who knows where I can find what I'm looking for and walks me to it makes the shopping experience here easy and quick. And when I have how-to questions, I feel confident in the answers provided. Definitely service and convenience you don't get elsewhere.

Prices are high by comparison, probably because there’s 15 people working in a small store. My biggest problem is this; when the store opened, I inquired about a military/veteran discount. I was told, as a franchise store it was up to the owner, and that he was considering one. Years later and I still get the same “owner is considering”.I am fine either way, but don’t appreciate being led on. If you choose not to offer a veteran discount, so be it. I’m not saying I’m entitled. But if you’re not going to, then say so.

I had the worst customer experience today with Ace Hardware. The staff was completely rude and not helpful regarding the purchasing mulch. They didn’t explain that you pay first and then get the mulch in the back and became completely rude when I didn’t know their process. Also, at 3:55pm the owner physically blocked the door and told me “you cannot come in we have too many people in the store we are closed for the day.” This was not true. He was so rude and literally physically stopped us from entering. Such a terrible experience I will not be going back.

I love having a hardware store nearby. It is so nice to be able to stop in, pick something up, and be home in 15 minutes. There is a sign inside that says "thanks for avoiding the 27 lights between here and Montrose" and I think that says it all. The employees are always very helpful and friendly.

Very very nice customer service and friendly people. Had everything in stock store was very clean. I was a little irritated and worried about driving extra far because my local store was out of stock but was glad I did. Again I'll say very very nice people.

Very helpful employees and an amazing range of goods for such a compact store. I try to patronize Ace when I can because the big box competitors never seem to have enough people working or people who know what they're selling. I'm willing to pay a few more dollars to have Ace in my neighborhood.

Ace is a great place for (almost) all of your hardware needs. Of course a store can’t have everything, but the selection they still offer is impressive. They have great customer service. An employee by the name of Evan was a great help to me in finding what I needed.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Not only did they cut my plexiglass to a custom size but also recut it when I came back an hour later because it was too big for the frame because I measured it wrong. Amazing work and excellent staff!

Ordered some screens on doors. The quality was terrible and when I brought it to the managers attention he wanted nothing to do with it and ignored all my concerns. The girl working at the paint/screening counter was incredibly rude saying "well it has to be done that way." The screen was incredibly loose and flimsy for paying $51 for 2 screens. Called corporate. How sad for a local hardware store.

The people who work at this store are so nice and they have a shockingly good selection because it looks small from the outside. But I have found everything I’ve ever gone looking for here, from paint and wall repair supplies, to tiki torch fuel, to door knobs. It’s great!

While this store isn't big enough to stock all of the kinds of products that a Lowe's or Home Depot has, they do have a good selection of the most common items that a homeowner would need, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Also, the location is very convenient, & it saves me a trip all the way out to Big Box Store Land (which i absolutely hate).

Excellent customer service... there is a worker named Jerry he went out of his way to figure out this puzzle of mine on how to connecting two different size hoses with two different style thread patterns together with different fittings and he did it, anybody else would have been like oh we don't have that style fitting but he took the time to figure it out Thanks Jerry.

Seems to be locally owned and everyone working is extra nice. You can tell they enjoy their jobs. I prefer Ace to Home Depot any day of the week.

Store is jam packed with everything you could need. Staff is very helpful, yet also content to allow browsing. Their prices are very comparable to the big box stores, too. Ace really is the helpful hardware place!

They almost always have what I need. They have a large variety of stock. The staff is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Also, there are several in my area, east and west parts of town.
