Staff is always friendly; very clean store. I feel like it's under-staffed at times - with long waits for getting crickets ... but hopefully that gets better with time [I just bought a bearded dragon in December, so only been here over the past couple of months] - but not going to give less stars for what could be a temporary staffing issue.Very great, knowledgeable staff when you are with them, though!

Only have gone here once since my home store is closer to us. They don't have a vet right now but working on it so could not fulfill my cats script. Very good selection and well stocked shelves thou. My son was visiting the rodents and lizards negotiating on trying to get 1 :).

So I had bought a fish for my daughter and we had wanted a beta.. we came in and asked for help. Someone in the fish department recommended all of this stuff that I needed.. tank, heater, rocks, and of course water conditioner.. this person also said to let the fish water get to temp of the tank and it should be fine to put the fish in right away.. so we did and it died. At first we noticed the fish couldn't stay down at the bottom. When he would stop swimming he would float up. Second he never ate once. He died a few days later. Went back.. returned and recieved a new one from a nice gal.. she was very concerned we did not let the water sit enough and recommended more days before putting fish into water...so we took this one home and let sit in the cup which they recommended is just fine for them. For 3 more days.. now it's been about 5 or six total I believe... before putting the new one in we noticed he was swimming goofy and looked like he was fading. So we put him in anyway, hoping he would recover and eventually, same as last one. Never ate food and looked sick.. I couldn't make it back to the store before the warranty period so we flushed him and when I got to fargo, I explained everything to a gentleman about it and he basically told me that the person that gave me the water treatment bottle who had worked here, was wrong and gave me the wrong stuff.. so then he told me what to use and insisted I try this new one.. I said no, your store is responsible for this if your employees are telling me what to do and it's wrong.. I demanded to see the manager and talk with them. He said he was and that's where the conversation went dead. I said if you won't warranty my fish I'll bring back the $110 worth of supplies that you don't need either. This man was shut off and not open to helping a customer in this situation.. I wasn't even rude about it.. this kid shouldn't even be a manager... if I could remember his name I would tell you but he was a younger boy in his 20s to early 30s maybe.. short hair. Either way. Save some time and money going to this place.. I went to petco down the road and my beta is still swimming fine. Eating and looks great. Oh and I'm using the same conditioner and water that the other fish was in.

please change the care policy: the cats need to be watered more than once a day. cats have a hard time being hydrated and if they're drinking, why limit that? i was told it only happens once in the morning. does that mean they won't be able to drink or eat during close if the bowls are empty? they are always bone-dry when i see them :(

I wish I could give zero stars. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE TO GET GROOMED. AWFUL GROOMERS!!! I took my mini goldendoodle here to get a trim and to keep his curl. Was hesitant to begin with and couldn’t get in with his regular groomer. I should have just walked out from the start due to the groomer being disrespectful from the start. She completely shaved all his fur off. He had absolutely no fur on the inside of his legs. Groomer had bad customer service and did not care about my dog. I believe she mishandled him while grooming. He came out shaking and whining which is not typical of him.

My Husky loves PetSmart. He really gets excited soon as we pull into the parking lot. He also really enjoys going down and sniffing all the treats. I let him pick out what he wants and of course buy it for him or what's left of it sometimes. He really enjoys looking at the birds, lizards and fish as well.

The staff are amazing. Very helpful and knowledgeable. She advised me carefully on what to buy for a new hamster. Got home and arranged everything. My hamster loves it soo much.

Decent stock and employees. However they need more experienced people or better taught employees working in the reptile section. I adopted two bear dies and the people working had no idea anything about dragons to answer any questions

Wish I could give zero stars. We took our dog here for a grooming and on the notes it said to get the teddy bear cut. The first photo is what they did to our dog.. it’s so bad and also extremely uneven. He has been shaking since he got the shave. Second photo is what his usual cuts look like. Stay far away from pet smart cuts unless you want your dog to be completely shaved in an uneven manner.

Staff seem to know about the pets. There wasn't a problem when I returned some fish filters because they were the wrong size. And the Iams for my cat was cheaper than I thought it would be.

The dog food we used was phased out without notice. I guess if a product starts taking less and less shelf space, you should assume it will no longer be carried and transition your pet to a new product.

I had to delete my review because I initially thought I was reviewing the grand forks store. My pup loves the grand forks store. She will actively try to keep me from the fargo store.In Fargo: The staff don't respect her service dog vest and will approach her without asking. The store isn't very accessible for disabled people in it's set up, so not even being able to safely have my service dog in there makes it inaccessible completely. The staff also shushed my service dog for barking when they ignored her body language to not approach her, and told me she was not trained properly if she was barking. They were aware she was a service animal, ignored her being a service dog, ignored her signals, and then scolded me and her for doing her job by telling me she was untrained. Make that make sense.

disappointing that all the guinea pigs they sell are sick. this doesn't happen with proper caretaking, coming from someone who actually rescues and keeps my own. HORRIBLE ethics behind this company. do better, the animals don't get to consent to living in inhumane conditions. even if it is not the stores fault, they need to stop buying from ANIMAL MILLS. animals lives are not below that of humans; whether they are rodents, cats, dogs, fish, reptiles, etc. it's way overdue to hold these companies accountable.

If I could honestly give them less than one star, I would. I have a dog that is very well behaved and everywhere else we have taken him they have said so. I arrived to pick up my dog recently from the grooming service to my dog, crying and whining. While I was waiting in the front For them to bring my dog out, I could hear the groomer yelling at my dog by name and telling my dog to shut up. The groomer then came up front and asked after they noticed I was there how long I was waiting. I told them that I was waiting for approximately 10 minutes. They then seemed extremely embarrassed. Yet they still had the audacity to tell me that my dog needs training after yelling at my dog. Honestly, will tell everybody and anybody to not go here to get their dog groomed.

there was a very attractive girl that works here that greeted me with a big smile and offered assistance on my way through the door. I was there to pick up for uber delivery but I believe I may never return to petco to shop for my beardie again. Petsmart won my business today

I brought in my rescue dog, Maggie, who had been abused, to acclimate her for future grooming appointments, and everyone was kind & gentle. Much appreciated. Groomers were helpful in finding the proper brushes for Maggie's care at home too. Thank you all!

Asked a worker for help finding products for my grandma’s barn cat that has an upper respiratory infection (even though I knew what I was going to buy anyways). Almost didn’t help me find the products but insisted that if I didn’t take the cat to the vet it would die and I should give it to a shelter. Scare tactics and treating me like I’m incompetent makes me never want to ask for assistance again.

I was not impressed at all! I have a Chihuahua and I only found a very small handful of items that were appropriately sized for small dogs. What I did find was extremely overpriced! The only reason I gave 3 stars is that the staff was very kind and as helpful as they could have been.

I just bought a bearded dragon from this Petsmart. My beardie is very healthy thanks to the great care they provide for their animals at this location. All of the staff were super helpful. In addition, I've had to go back to this Petsmart for several returns/exchanges because of faulty bulbs (manufacturer issue, not Petsmart) or products that just didn't work with my beardie's tank and they never complained, during my last visit I was able to speak with a manager who has loads of experience with bearded dragons and she gave me some great advice and insight. They provide the best service there and I don't plan on going anywhere else for pet supplies in the near future! Thank you guys! 😊
