The clubhouse staff is very friendly and courteous. The course is in good shape, with one exception...the greens. There was some winter kill and they haven't recovered yet. Hopefully as the season goes on, the greens will come back. UPDATE: Golfed this course again yesterday and the greens have improved.

Beautiful, challenging course! Made the trip up after multiple friends suggested it. Worth the drive and worth much more than what they charge! Staff was friendly and helpful. The course itself is one of the best I've been on. Greens and fairways were beautiful. The layout got a little confusing, but the signage was well placed and made it clear where to go. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Golfed this course for the first time last June 2022 with my son and brother, we all enjoyed it and will golf it every year. It is an incredible course for the money. Greens and fairways are great, the rough is a challenge to play out of as it should. The cart path when paved are good but the un paved paths are a bit rough. For the price, this course is one of the best i have played in North Dakota. The club house is modest but the staff was great. Give it 4.5 stars

May 20th, 2023, I will never not bring big spray golfing ever again. I swear to God I think i got bit by over 100 mosquitoes NO LIE. And we only golfed 9. My bad, but I have to say it was the quickest 9 holes I've ever golfer. I love the course but the greens need a lot of help

Nice course. Good scenery, helpful staff. Well cut greens and fairways. My only negative take away was the roughness of the non paved cart paths. Some of the bridges across the river were very rough. Otherwise a great day of reasonably priced golf!

Fun and Scenic course. Good hazards, decent distances for us amateurs. Cart paths were inconsistent and work was being done on the course. We played 9 of 18 so can't speak to the second half. Similar prices to other courses. Golf carts were clean and ready to go.

I was in Bismarck Nd for my moms bypass surgery. After she made it through and was resting comfortably, I wanted to relax.None of the courses in Bismarck had a tee time and a cart for me. So I figured... well I can drive a little...Called out, told them what I was looking for. “Come on out, we got you” I got there with an hour left of daylight. I told them that I was the guy that had called.The guy tossed me a key and said “if you don’t make it by close, just park the cart and leave the key where I can find it.”I made it a point to be back by close and went in to cover the cost...“Nah... my treat. Hope your Mom’s alright.”I was stunned. I wish I had this course back home.It’s my deepest hope that the locals in the area take advantage of this great little course. You are lucky to have the team and the beauty of the course in your back yard.And, if your reading this and your passing through... do yourself a favored take a couple of hours, buy a sleeve of balls while your there and enjoy an excellent round.Keep these guys going. They are the reason I love the game and those that play.

I love painted woods .I don't golf but I love driving the go cart. I also love seeing my husband enjoying himself golfing . He loves Golfing .If he could golf everyday he would but because he works nights most of the time he can't. When hes off nights that's he's first place to go and unwind. Visiting you guys soon. Painted Woods Golf Course in Washburn N.D. is a great golf course. It has both long par 5s' fun par 3s' the greens are firm green but fast. The carts are top notch and comfy. Definty a top 10 North Dakota Dakota course.

Best course I have seen that is not huge money. The new 9 holes made it into more of a link style course.Number 16 is a par 3 that is about 20 yards wide for the fairway and green. One of toughest holes I have ever seen. Lots of beautiful holes. If you are hitting it all over you could lose a lot of balls here.This is a great place! Only downside is a few of the holes are confusing to find.

(Not a golfer). The view was amazing, sitting on the deck for drinks with friends was such a relaxing experience. The staff went above and beyond to make sure all patrons received the best service. Cant wait to revisit.

This is by far the best course in North Dakota for the value. You get different approach shots than anywhere else in the state. This course should be $100 a round

Very challenging course. Unforgiving rough, elevation changes, and water hazards. Hole layout is confusing but the carts have GPS so that helps. Getting a drink last time I was there took awhile.

A really good course. Still a bit rough around the edges since it has just been expanded to 18 holes. A lot of similarities to Bully Pulpit for about 1/2 the money. Bring lots of golf balls.

A bit disappointed. They could have told us when we called earlier in the week that we were going to play to extra large holes on every green. Left over from a tournament the day before. At least offered a discounted price or something.

not very enjoying, no bevarage ppl on the course, no ranger helping speed up play, shouldnt take 6hrs to play 18 holes..dont recommend anyone
