The owners are welcoming, friendly and incredibly hard-working. The rooms have been renovated with all new carpet and bedding. Excellent place to stay while visiting the Pembina Gorge, Frost Fire Ski Hill/Mountain Biking, Walhalla Country Club, etc. The C-Store has everything you need plus fresh items from a local bakery. The fireworks show put on for the Fourth of July was impressive!

This place was hard to stay in. Poor staffing with a baby just sitting by itself in the lobby when we walked in. Contindental breakfast was stale cereal and a loaf of bread. Rooms haven't been updates since the 80's and the mold shows that. Overall I would recommend driving farther to get a decent night's rest and a warm breakfast and friendly staff.

Did find it a little troubling that we had reservations for 3 months and when the maid finished the room wouldn't release it. Pretty upset when we drove 13 hours in the storm the room was done and couldn't get in.

Room was dirty with stained sheets and unvacuumed floors, and the door was coming off its hinges. The staff was friendly and helpful, though. The Forestwood Inn is very lucky they're the only game in town, because even a Super 8 keeps the rooms cleaner.

My room was left propped open by room service for an entire day while I was gone at work. After this my room was filled with moths as it was nighttime and the lights were left on in my room. Also when I arrived there were bars of soap from previous guests in the shower. Very disappointed with my stay. I will not return to this establishment again.
