The last two nights I’ve been there. I understand that they are short staffed but they are not doing anything. I ordered a hot fudge sundae, a kids crunch cone and a mini snickers blizzard. The cone was barley filled and I didn’t get hot fudge I got cold fudge. And got a small instead of a mini and didn’t get a receipt.when I went to ask about it the first girl just closed the window and carried on. When I confronted the other employee she said our “ our machine just does that” and was very rude. The next one I got was a little warm.

Only young teens working today it appeared— took forever to get noticed, standing there to get my order taken, walked past me at least five times by four different staff. Requested it all to go, asked for a drink carrier to get told “NO!” And have her walk away. I was a bit shocked— If you don’t have them, that’s fine, I’ll juggle my five ice cream items and food bag— but that’s not the way to handle the situation. Ice cream was fine and food fresh, but service? Yikes, Disappointing.

a lil bit away from the highway but has a good sit out. Banana split never disappoints other the crowd favorite blizzards. burgers are just ok fries and curds tasted better

Service is poor and slow. There's about 6 teenagers working at a time and half of them stand around drinking pop and jamming to music or talking to each other. Drive through service is always slow and wait to even order my food for minimum of 10 minutes regardless of the how many costomers are there. Most of the time there isnt even an adult manager on staff. Tables are never wiped off during the day hours busy or not. Blizzards are never flipped and could honestly have been walking away with so many free blizzards every time I come here.

Horrible experience tonight. No greeting at the window. Not even a "hi". 4 blizzards took 30+ minutes with only 2 customers. Two of them were cheesecake blizzards but didn't have any cheesecake in them. They were melted (obviously not flipped). None of them were even full cups and to top it all off, staff kept pulling their masks under their noses/chins. Sad....

While traveling from minot,nd to Louisiana stopped to get a bite. We picked up 2 burgers. The bread was stale. The fries were cold and the food was all around horrible. When we brought the food back and requested our money back we were refused and the “kids” that work there were standing around laughing like it was a joke. I would strongly suggest not eating there. The supervisor on duty obviously needs to be trained because you do not refuse a dissatisfied customer a refund.Well at least that’s what I was told by the young boy that was working the window that initially did not give me a receipt. Hmmm?.?.

Food is fine, but there's always an extremely long wait if you order a sandwich, nothing is ever prepared. You'll end up having to wait 15-20 minutes for a burger. If you're just getting ice cream the experience is fine.

A little bit of a longer anticipated wait because it was busy. But got my food hot and fresh. Had good proportion of fries. Bread wasn't that great. The chicken tenders and fries were good though.

Horrible service, stale bread and the children that work there make a joke of giving people stale bread. They traded out 2 bad burgers with chicken tenders that had 2 small dead roaches at the bottom of the bag. As we pulled away they were laughing. I would suggest eating chips from convenient store. Disgusting place

Absolutely poor service. Waited over 20 minutes to get a 4-piece chicken strip basket. Open my basket to find I had 6 fries. On top of it, my grandma ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, first bite was ice cold. Horrible service and the staff could have cared less to be there or help any customers. One elderly man stood at the counter for over 10 minutes waiting for his coffee, while 4 employees stood there doing absolutely nothing. I do not recommend Valley City DQ.

Food generally takes a bit of time before it's ready. Otherwise the order is often correct when I receive it and the food is a decent quality for the price paid. Blizzards are always good but just occasionally messy when served. Facilities are generally clean. Definitely a regular place to grab food throughout the year or snacks and blizzards whenever I or my roommates are in the mood for some.

The good was great...nice and hot...3 meals in perhaps 20 minutes...A nice smiling face to take our order...and here is the amazing part..I forgot my wallet type purse in the booth and didn't realize it until about 30 miles down the road heading home so made a quick phone call and it has been turned in and the manager had offered to mail it to me as we were headed almost to the Canadian border....did have a friend pick it up that was coming from Fargo so no mailing needed....so food was great...ice cream amazing and a big thanks to all the honest helpful people at the DQ in Valley City ND...

me and a friend of mine went to DQ around 6:15pm. I simply asked for a mini cookies n cream blizzard and she asked for a Carmel chocolate shake and a young child was working the register and he didn't know what in the world he was doing. He didn't tell me the total of my order and we waited about 30 minutes for our food and I asked the kid where's our food and he was clueless and had no idea what we were talking about. Instead he was moping and forgot to put the wet floor sign up. If I were the manager I'd fire him immediately. He doesn't look like he is old enough to work there. It was just some basic dessert that takes 2 minutes to make.

Went to Dairy Queen with some of my friends a year ago and ordered 4 cheese curds had to wait like 15 min for the 4 people in front of me. Went in a few weeks ago and with new staff hires it went well. I got my chicken strips in 6 min with 3 people in front of me.

The service is getting somewhat better with some of their new hires. Used to be less one star in my opinion never used to get proper orders and the teen employees seemed to hate their customers as much as being there. This has improved vastly especially in the drive-thru.

Dairy Queen in Valley City North Dakota they suck. Everytime I come here which is not very often but when I do I usual have to 15 to 20 minutes for my food. And every time there is usually something wrong with my order. I never ask for my money back, and there is usually nothing but kids working I never ever see a manager. I ask for a manager this time and a kid that looked about 16 came up and he didn't even offer me a free meal or anything. Not that I'm in search of free food but it gets a little aggravating. Dairy Queen has lost a customer. ..

Quick and not great service. They acted like they didnt care about your order. Very disappointing blizzard. I got a pecan cluster and it wasn't mixed very well at all. They also got our food wrong after we specified twice what we wanted. Dont plan on returning.

The day crew are only 4-5 people strong, but they try their hardest in a rush. They have yet to disappoint me. I see people get upset at them for not having much staff, but not all customers see that they're trying. My favorite place to get a burger and fries!

A very good location. The staff was quick and accurate with our order. It was a nice stop on our trip. One thing I do have to say, it would be awfully hard to find without a GPS, coming off the highway and not knowing the town.

Saw the low rating and wasn't expecting much, however was surprised at how fast and fresh the food was. It was 1:30 in the afternoon so not busy. Only thing that was a little iffy was the guy taking the order was a little rude.

I am gonna give this place not even half a star. They get no star from me. Only shows 1 star because it is making me!!!!!The Service is extremely slow in the evening. The high school workers take forever to even notice you are there. I can't believe how the high school workers at night post the most stupid stuff on Snapchat while they are working! Example: posting on Snapchat the dirty and filthy deep fryer. How disgusting and even worse while on the clock. Get some common sense already! Disgusted!!!!! We were very rudely told we could not substitute fries for something else ok fine we ordered what we wanted to eat cost about 20 dollars when I asked for some dipping sauce I was told I would have to pay for that as well ( never had to at other DQ locations) my son opened his chicken strip meal and there was 14 French fries included I guess thats a small ? I understand expense control but in this case it cost you customers how cheap is to cheap, in my opinion you have some customer service training needs at this location

Customer service was perfect. Both employees I had contact with were pleasant to talk to. Food was hot and delicious.
