Small town accommodations in a friendly atmosphere. Our room was newly remodeled with wood look flooring, which is so much cleaner than carpet! Nice large screen TV, fridge, table seating area. Outdoor entrance. The room was small but fine for a quick night stay. The owners were super friendly!Nearby activities: Old Church Theater, convenience store, dollar store nearby, local restaurants & bar. Hunting & fishing guides are available.

We were lucky enough to run into Matt and Kim at the game fair last year. They told us about their guided snobear fishing adventures and we couldn’t resist. We were not disappointed they worked hard to put us in the best spots they knew of on devils lake, and to top it off they provided a clean warm place to stay after a long day of fishing. Their lodges are spacious and cozy. I am happy to say the water was clean and clear, so do not worry about the review before. The town water system has been repaired. I give this outfitter a 10 out of 10 and we will be back! Also… they make and deliver a fish fry to your lodge! Thank you K&M Bison Lodge and Outfitters!!!

While the new owners are great and very helpful to your needs, the rooms are not great. The biggest down side for me was that the water from the sink and bathtub is yellow and dirty. I didn't feel comfortable brushing my teeth or even showering because of this. Not sure if it's a town issue or if it's only happening at this hotel but definitely a big turn off.

I traveled to New Rockford last week to visit my grandparents grave. Since I decided to make the quick trip, I brought my dog for companionship and protection. I drove the entire 1022 miles in one day, as it was rediculously difficult finding a place that would accept my dog. Matt and Kim were very accommodating and welcomed us. The room was quiet, clean, and very welcoming. I know they are new owners and fixing problems they inherited but can't wait to see more of the progress they make next year when I stay at their hotel! Thank you for being so awesome!!!

I grew up in New Rockford and am glad to see the place under new ownership. We stayed in the Hunters Lodge with our kids for two nights and rented an ice house for the weekend as well. Matt and Kim were more than accommodating and the lodge was big enough for our two crazy boys, the two of us and our dog. Room was clean and it was nice to have our own kitchen. They even helped us out by lending us some gear we had forgotten, which was awesome. Our family will be back for sure!

Needed a place to stay in new Rockford while working around town for a couple weeks.. and we couldn’t have found a better place than the bison lodge. Remodeled with easy check in and out process, all on top of having phenomenal staff cooperating with their tenants.

Went to the office and had to ring a bell and one person came and didn't know what was going so he got another person who was unsure also I felt. It was 5:00 and we wanted to go to the room immediately and we're told the beds hadn't been made yet so we had to wait for them to do that. The front desk was very disorganized and I felt like they weren't real enthused about anybody being there. When they made the beds they didn't even turn the air conditioner on before they left so we had to wait over an hour before it got cool in the room and the TV was an old style TV, the shower head barely trickled so I definitely give this a one or two star rating

After reading some of the reviews I was nervous... you definitely need to read the newer reviews under the new management. Way more accurate. Clean room, very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff and guide ; convenient to devils lake. Definitely will be staying here again. Thank you for exceeding my expectations.

Don’t stay here. Not very clean and beds suck. I wish they people that run the place didn’t have 100 cats all over. And had better standards on their rooms. My room had a projector tv still and my bed you can hear all the springs moving around when you sleep. The rest room was very small and the ac was no good. I hope they will remodel later on in the future but not worth anywhere near the price that they ask for

Matt and Kim have been very gracious hosts. They have only had the Bison lodge since November and have been improving and repairing the previous owners neglect since this time. Matt is a professional guide and limits out quite a bit. The rooms at the lodge are clean and well accommodated. His gear is clean and well kept. They have a few full hook up RV spots, single rooms, and a hunters lodge. I recommend using K & M Bison Lodge and outfitters if you want to fish and rest!

Carpet and bathroom floor dirty. First night we ( keep in mind there isn't any good options in the area) first night...no toilet paper, soap, and the mattress was covered with a top sheet . No mattress pad no fitted sheet. We arrived at 700pm way past check in and room was still not ready! The room was so warm we couldn't sleep. 2nd night...we stayed because there isn't a lot of options...Carpet and bathroom floors dirty never took our shoes off, light bulbs burnt out. Very poor management we did not enjoy our stay at all....we won't be back...Very icky environment!

Small town motel we thought would be ok. We didn't expect anything fancy. Beds were ok and bedding was clean. Floor didn't appear to have been vacuumed for awhile and in the morning we discovered the tub/shower didn't drain. The fridge made noise all night and the plaster was falling off the wall from leaks. Maintenance is lacking.

Under New management. This is a fantastic place to stay . Only 17 miles from Devils and numerous Pot Holes near by to hunt and Fish . Small town charm with a nice grocery store , Dollar General and Casey’s Gas Station . Guide service available and heated fish cleaning shack . Stayed one week , owners Matt and Kim were great hosts . They will help with anything. I’ve stayed in lodges all across the Midwest hunting and Fishing and this one ranks top on the list .

Great small town roadside motel. The owners Kim and Matt are very friendly, knowledgeable about local fishing spots and accommodating. Clean rooms at a great price! We will definitely stay here again!

Had a sketchy experience here, we stayed one night. The room was in "the Basement".. and it just felt creepy. The a/c unit was about to fall through the wall because of a crack, when looking through the crack out of curiosity, you could see a light on to a storage area that you would never think would be possible from already being in the basement.. the breakfast isn't worth stopping by, because there wasn't anything there for us. The town However had a breakfast place that served good food. Also check your sheets 😬

Cheap and you get what you pay for. Beds are passable...pillows are flat or lumpy. Everything is clearly very old and not well maintained. Also, no one man's the front desk apparently, so you just have to sit around ringing the bell forever until someone shows up...lastly, need to update their methods of payment...card reader broke and they just told me to wait an hour... didn't fix it in that time, then told me to get cash from an atm. Waste of my time and poor coordination and customer service on their part.

Our trip was nearly cancelled due to another lodge double-booking us. These people saved our hunt by hooking us up in their 6 man lodge on short notice. These are some of the kindest and most hospitable people I’ve ever met. They even helped us scout birds in the afternoons!

Great place to stay with a family. Definitely recommend asking for a room in the Hunter's Lodge. Plenty of room for family and very convenient amenities that include a full fridge, stove, and microwave. Management (Cathy and Greg) are super friendly and helpful and the rooms were super clean! Excellent place to stay!

First off, this is a hunter orientated motel, not the Ritz. The place served my needs perfectly. Warm, clean and comfortable. My dogs were welcome, location is convenient. Decent place. Staff was very friendly

We stayed here 4 years in a row. The hunting lodge is the place to stay if you have a dog and want to cook your own food. They have a small mini kitchen, fridge, freezer and two double beds. Its no frills but you don't need them. Cable TV works. There's a beer store next door to the lodge and a restaurant across the street that plays all the football games you want to watch. The Cleaning area has wader dryer, good cleaning facilities and rags etc.Hotel rooms are good to, no dogs allowed but they're clean and comfortable. Give it a try if you are hunting in the area.

Very much like staying at an old relative's. Older furnishings and odd style, but clean and friendly! They have Wi-Fi and a cosy bed, I was happy! :)
