Great grooming. We have a Westhighland white terrier (westie) and a Scottish terrier (scottie) and their cuts look incredible every time.Please know your best bet is to utilize their Blue Ribbon program (I believe it is called) and get your appts booked out for a year. The deposit for this is prorated and subdivided for each appt through the year.

When cutting my dogs hair the clippers cut my dog (I believe it was an accident and is going to happen from time to time). There was significant scabbing and still some blood. I found this all when we got home. They did not tell us this happened. What else happens there that they don’t tell the pet owner about? Absolutely never going back.

The best dog grooming in Minot! I won't take my dogs anywhere else (great for nail trims too). The owner is super nice and it's easy to tell all the groomers and staff really care about animals. My collie mix has longer hair and the groomers do an awesome job with his haircut. With other past groomers in town, the haircuts would be wayyy shorter than I requested (buzz cut into the undercoat) and my dogs would seem kinda traumatized (or very traumatized) when I picked them up after their appointment, but I've NEVER had that happen here. Plus it's nice to support a local business, although it's easy to support them when they do such great work.

When we moved here, we tried several different groomers before finally settling in The Bark Porch. Though the other groomers were great, there was always something wrong with our two when we got them back. Within seconds of picking up Moon and Aurora from their first visit, we knew we had found our groomer. Their facilities, staff, and services are the best we've seen in Minot. They can be booked out a bit depending on what you want done, but in my opinion, it's well worth it.

While I'd love to leave a great review because they do amazing work, however. Everytime I took my dog in for her appointment it took almost 7 hours for her to be done. My final straw was I got a call that she was still not done because her groomer was working with a senior dog and it was taking longer than normal. I get that there are other dogs but, there is no rhyme or reason to keep my 10lb dog there all day long. Again, great work but this is unnecessary, this is why I've stopped going there.

As much as my dog hates the groomer, I always feel better knowing he's getting dropped off here. This place is always crazy with commotion, but the staff seem to handle it well. You better book well in advance or you will never get a spot, but for good reason. They seem to care about your furry friends just as about as much as if they were their own.

They handled our large-breed puppy with patience and kindness. He got a wash, de-shed, nail trim and an ear+teeth cleaning. We couldn't be more pleased and are looking forward to his next visit. They also offer a military discount, which is wonderful!

Very friendly, does a fantastic job on my freakishly long haired Dachshund. Sends appointment reminders via text, works with me to get him in even though she's always booked, will book appointments a year out and notifies me with a text and a picture of my dog when he's ready to be picked up. Rates are reasonable and to they offer a military discount. Definitely recommend!

I brought my dog Riley in I’ve only had him for a few months he’s a rescue he’s two years old He’s been though a lot and has issues with begin held and picked up and having anything done to him. I brought him in for a nail trim and even though he went completely crazy. The ladies there were very professional did everything they could do to keep him calm got his nails trimmed in no time did a fantastic job on my troubled pooch I definitely will bring him back again!!!!

The grooming has always been fantastic, with extermly low stress on our dog.Staff is knowledgeable, professional, caring, understanding, pleasant and all around awesome staff.Prices are more than most but they have to make money and pay for investments as they keep everything in the best condition.Upon entering the location you will know they are putting money back into the business. They do offer a membership for $200 a year. If you do a membership with them you can get a discount and they will give you a little collor or bows and a digital picture. They wanted to do daycare and offer a discount with memberships as well, but that hasn't materialized yet.Our grooming costs around $75 and they do nails, teeth, ears, conditioning, etc. Due to the membership perks and discounts affording us to pamper our fury friend.Availability is poor as they currently (2022) only are open one Saturday a month from October through May. They are open every Friday from October through May as well. June through September they are closed Friday and Saturday. Sundays are always closed to allow staff to take time to be with family/friends.With a membership you can book months in advance, but you might have to call them to do it. Just remember about the summer hours that they are closed for, so you don't pay for a membership and then find they aren't open on Saturdays full year around like we did. That was $200 ish not really well spent for the membership perks as we drive in to Minot, ND on the weekend as we live in another near by city. Wish they would have told us before we did purchase the membership that they were not open on Saturdays all year long, but they must have forgotten to mention that. If you can make it during the week, it is well worth the price for the discount on grooming alone... more so when daycare becomes a reality.

These ladies are awesome with dogs! Porkchop (our Old English Bulldog) has very sensitive skin and they did a great job cleaning every wrinkle and making sure he was completely dry.They also did a fantastic job with Bubbles (our Yorkie). She’s very nervous but they took their time with her and made her look gorgeous. This is our permanent grooming salon from now on!

We just moved to Minot, and needed a new groomer for our Staffy. I called on a Friday morning, they were able to get him in right away. He has horrible skin allergies, is usually pretty anxious at the groomers and fights having his nails being done.The shop is spotless and set up beautifully. The owner(sorry, didn't catch her name) was very warm and welcoming. knowledgeble about his issues and explained everything that would take place. I picked up a clean, great smelling, happy dog, who had his nails done and teeth brushed. He didn't give her any problems while having his nails done, she recognized that he was just a big old marshmallow! she gave me suggestions for a vet here in town and also some ideas for his skin issues. I'll definitely be bringing Goliath back!

I chose to try the Bark Porch because of its raving reviews. My experience definitely did not live up to my expectations. I just moved here from Orlando, Florida, and expected differences in groomers because Minot is much smaller than what I'm used to. I had to make the earliest available appointment almost 3 weeks in advance, which wasn't a surprise to me, although back home I could make an appointment within the same week. I got home about 20 minutes ago with my Great Pyrenees, Odin, and was very disappointed that it took a whopping 5.5 hours to groom him. I was further disappointed that when I got to the Bark porch, he was dripping blood from somewhere onto the floor. At that point, he had to have been bleeding for roughly 15 minutes at least. The manager made the comment that he took longer because her hand was getting hot while drying him, when I was under the impression that you are NEVER to use heat when drying a dog. I was also told that water was available to the dogs throughout the entire process, but my dog chugged water as soon as he came into the house (maybe from licking the blood from his paw for so long). This is not a behavior I ever saw from him from our previous groomer, and we had a 40 minute drive home from them in the Florida heat. My main concern is that this groomer would send a dog home that is actively bleeding. I understand mistakes can be made, but I've never in Odin's 4.5 years had him come home from the groomer, chug water, and hide under the bed to lick his wounds. My heart breaks for him and I feel like I have really let him down by coming here. I texted images to my old groomer of his paw STILL bleeding after well over 30 minutes from the time of the incident. They're as upset as me to see my dog was treated so unprofessionally. The Bark Porch owner didn't even let me know he had a wound. Please reconsider if you're thinking about taking your large breed here. Thank you.
