14 years I've been coming and going from ND and I've always heard how amazing the show was and how beautiful the area was! Finally me and my family was able to come see the show and wow was it fun. The heat was brutal and hiking the stairs was a little hard but worth it. There happens to be a bunch of grasshoppers at the moment so it was kind of funny watching them hop on everyone in the stands and watching people freak out. The actors were amazing and can sing like no other! They had a dog show that was fun to see. My kids got to go on stage for one song and thought that was the coolest thing ever!

A very entertaining musical. A surprise find in Medora ND. All performers had wonderful voices. Great fun especially for kids. Lots of singing and dancing. Kids called up on stage to join in on one number.Lots of parking including for RVs. Snacks including drinks, popcorn and ice cream sold at the show.

Love this place! Fun for the whole family. The show lasts about 2 hours. There's a snack bar and the bathrooms are clean. Bring a sweatshirt for the late show. We caught the most amazing moon-rise over the later show this time.

What a fabulous musical! The caliber of entertainment was above expectations! We attended the musical three times this summer with the littles! They loved getting on stage with the whole team.I can hardly wait to see what next year brings!

Did the 5:30 pm show on a Saturday night but skipped the pitchfork steak meal. Beautiful amphitheater with the backdrop of the Badlands and was in the shade from the beginning - chose row AA center to have a great view of the large stage. The show itself focused on Medora and T. Roosevelt with good performances once they warmed up. All in all, a fun time!

I went to the Medora Musical for the first time in my life, even though I grew up in ND and even worked in Medora briefly one summer. It was well worth the wait! What an amazing show and performance put on by all the cast! I would highly recommend checking it out.

This is great fun for families or seniors. It’s a beautiful outdoor theater. They have a large gift shop as well. It’s assigned seating which is nice. My only complaint is the way they manage the guests when the show ends. We sat in row three at the very bottom. We probably sat there for 30 minutes while they let people go a couple rows at a time. It’s a long show and having to wait that long is frustrating and unnecessary. I did learn a lot about Teddy Roosevelt and there special guest on this night, apparently it changes, was a professional dog trainer! That was my favorite part of the show!

It wasn't for me. I didn't enjoy it, but the effort was great. I think kids would have liked it. It isn't what one would expect, and I didn't set any. I am sure it was just because of opening day there were lots of opportunities for improvement. I also didn't know if it was a country or opera musical. 🙃 The people were incredibly sweet. Just not for me.

The musical was great! The guest act (ventriloquist) was hilarious! The food, atmosphere, and entertainment at the pitchfork fondue was excellent! Best steak I've had in a long time. All of the workers we encountered were friendly and helpful. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I would highly recommend it.

What a great experience to witness the talent and fun theme of the Medora Musical! My husband and I absolutely loved the set and how fantastic everyone in this cast is. We highly recommend this as a must-see and when we return to ND we will definitely see this musical again 🤠

This place is amazing. Awesome musicians, great dancers, and awesome filler shows such as the lumberjack axe throwing contest.I love that this show represents American History and President Roosevelt. I'm so glad to see this show and not the Barbie movie, so I'm definetely coming back

A truly magical musical / theater experience! The setting and backdrop of the Medora valley and Theodore Roosevelt National Park in the backdrop make this a stage you will never forget and possibly always compare to. An entertaining evening of music & dance with a little variety and history sprinkled in made a most memorable experience!

It was a nice experience. The show is outdoors and it was a bit cold for us but with light jackets it was OK. Some people carried travel blankets and it began to rain so some people had ponchos. With little ones be prepared with light hats too.The show was great, all singers were great and the sequences were very nicely choreographed. The artists wee from all over the country, so it was a nice blend. I specially loved their patriotic song towards the end, made me feel proud to be an American 😀.Their sets were awesome and also was the stand-up comedian's act. His first name was Chuck...sorry to have forgotten the last name. It was short and sweet.Overall, great value for money!!

Capturing history, preserving the spirit of patriotism, and weaving the Western ways into a wonderful evening. What a great mix of colors of music and costumes. The hosts, John Payonk and Sheridan Zuther, are talented anchors of the show. This an absolute must for families to solo travelers.

After listening to many friends and family alongside my professor I’ve decided to visit for the FIRST TIME, and I was extremely surprised by the friendly staff and the show program. The show was a mix of old/contemporary music as well being funny. From beginning to the end I was happy/joyful/relaxed, it worth the 6 hrs drive. Also there is an old man named Dusty he was the star of the show in my mined haha

While visiting the badlands a gal asked us if we were going to the Medora Musical, and we had no idea what that was. Bought tickets that day and got great seats for the late 8 o clock show. Must say it was a lot of fun. The theater itself is something you can’t quit enjoying. All the singing and dancing was done quite well, far better a show than I’d have guessed being we heard about it same day. Def recommend if you’re around the area checking it out.

I was there in June 2023 and loved it. It's not a Broadway-level show, but it is entertaining. The atmosphere and the energy is all positive. Definitely do the pitchfork fondue. It is wonderful and wholesome entertainment for the whole family. Highly recommend.

It is rather a show than a real musical. But it is every entertaining and a bit educating, so a good mixture of everything with great know songs!

- Like many/most, we were in the area for the National Park and this was such a great show to pair with visiting the park.- fun, with many popular/familiar and impossible not to song along with songs.... love that. I particularly loved the patriotism and special should outs to President Theodore Roosevelt.- I was really tired and not enjoying it as much as I though I would but then I saw it through my 10 year olds eyes and we LOVEd it!!I would recommend being at least up 10 rows back as speakers were in our way but we were able to move up. Go for the middle.. I think it would really make a difference...Have a great time!!

What a special experience! Our country needs so much more of what this musical is. One has to experience it to understand the clean and wholesome experience, the patriotism and the good values portrayed. It gives me hope for our country. I teared up during “always be humble and kind”. Thank you Medora, you will always have a special place in my heart.

We traveled from MD for the 2nd time in 5 years and this time I got to take my son.I cried 3 times during the show. The song about ND and the patriotic songs just bring all the feels! Such a great, family friendly venue!!! They keep thing modern, too...bringing in songs that all ages will know, from classic country to modern soundtracks. Just so good! And don't miss out on the Pitchfork Fondue! You won't be disappointed!!! The food is fantastic!

Beautiful venue and a wonderful musical with my parents. The theater was excellent and the acting was good as well! A highlight of Medora. The play and folks were professional yet it had a hometown feel to it. Took my senior citizen parents and they enjoyed it very much!

The medora musical is great! Enjoyed by everyone in our party from ages 8 to 63. The theater is amphitheater style of the side of a butte. It was really awesome to enjoy the show from such a well-designed outdoor space. There is not a bad seat in the theater, so don't worry about that when purchasing your tickets! The cast of the show is very wonderful talented and engaging.

Great entertainment and keeps you intrested. The set is absolutely beautiful and their talent is too notch. Take extra time if traveling with older more fragile companions. They only run two golf carts and I wouldn't sit in the lower section.

Medora Musical …. What a show! Highly recommend it. The production was first class. The musicians and performers outdid themselves. Especially enjoyed the skit about the Town Hall and Harold Schafer, the inventor of Mr. Bubbles and the patron responsible for restoring the town of Medora.
