Stopped in one rainy morning while waiting for Reister Meats to open to stock up on brats! Great simple small town seat yourself atmoshphere. The morning we arrived there was only one employee working! She was cooking, taking phone calls, taking orders and serving simultaneously without skipping a beat and she was an expert at it! She left us a whole carafe of great coffee (bonus points for that) and the food was good! Only slight down side was the lack of English muffins… toast only. We were glad to see a second employee show up as we were about to leave since it was getting busier! We will definitely stop again!

I get a little sentimental about the Medina Cafe. It's everything a small town cafe should be. Old school charm, home cooked meals, excellent specials (the day we stopped, country style sausage, knoephla and kraut were on special), friendly service, friendly locals and good conversation.You walk in and it just feels like home.Pro-tip: The family that owns the cafe owns a butcher shop in Streeter (which isn't too far away), and have a storefront (Reister Meats) across from the cafe. Bring a cooler and stock up on brats, kuchen, etc.Vegetarian options: I'd recommend the cheese omelette for non meat eaters.

Don’t be thrown by the outside. Inside is a nice clean old fashioned family-run diner with good basic diner food and great service. My companion had the grilled cheese and onion rings and I had the bacon cheeseburger and onion rings and we both really enjoyed our meals. Very reasonable prices.

Do not let the outside deter you !We had the best burgers and corn nuggets .The soup -Knoephla was delicious!Your meal comes with soft serve ice cream also 🐷So glad we got off of I94 !!

The power company stopped here for a dessert run. They close at 2:00, but they stayed open for us. She had like 6 different pies, caramel rolls, and more. I was going to have pie but saw the rolls; it was one of the best caramel rolls ever. Everyone said their dessert was great. I'm sure their meals are just as good. Friendly. They were the best, can't beat that. You must go to the meat market and get some good German brats, sausage, whatever. We will be going back. The prices are great too. It's that typical small town Cafe. Great food and friendly service. The decor is a little dated, but I didn't go there for the paint job. Really nice meat so across the street one should also stop in to see.

Honest service and solid food.Pulled off I-94 to wait out some weather and ate a fine breakfast. The stools and soda fountain are museum quality classics. Be sure to get a warmed caramel roll.

If you are lucky enough to eat chicken and dumplings at this cafe, then you are lucky enough. Amazing! It's their specialty so if it is on their Specials board, order it. And their homemade caramel rolls are absolutely delicious. Don't be put off by the simple exterior. This place is a GEM.

Waitress was not the nicest at all. Didn't care about what I wanted. Brought out hash browns with cheese after ignoring my order for cheese.they came out pretty much raw with cold cheese thrown on top and made a "happy now?" Comment. Cook also rude....her walk to come glare at me was obvious. Otherwise would've been good.

Came off the interstate for lunch. Parked and went inside, took a seat at a table. Tiny place and only one other table had customers. But nobody came from the back to take our order. Nobody. Ever. After awhile, we gave up and left. Aside from our frustration, we can objectively say that the place didn't look clean and we weren't too disappointed that we had to eventually leave due to no service.

I had the fish Burger and a bowl of knoephla soup. It was all so delicious. The fish was actually a large piece of fish not a small square piece of fish like you get from a fast food place. The soup was very delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The meal even came with free ice cream. All that for $6.30! Wow, you come away from the Medina cafe full. But you better get there before 2:00 pm or you will miss out!

Simple food prepared by wonderful mothers the group of ladies runs this place I always had a good meal there I had two lunches in a breakfast they take your order and then go back in the back make itI had chicken and dumpling for lunch the first day went back to second day for breakfast had a ham and cheese omelette made perfectly and then the next day I had a hamburgerall good simple food

Traveling through. .small town with friendly locals. Breakfast was plentiful and inexpensive. Don't be fooled by the outside. .everything is fresh and the coffee is good. We love the Mom n Pop joints and this one was a sweet touch of days gone by.
