This one takes the cake folks. Absolutely the worst customer service ever possible. The meanest employees ever. I said hello to the two employees smoking cigarettes directly in front of the door in the parking lot. They both shot me the angriest, nastiest, absolutely disgusting looks I've ever seen. I've never seen so much anger on anyone's face in my entire life. And the store had only been open 5 minutes. I wanted to exchange a sweatshirt that I had purchased at the Bismarck location the night before. All of the tags were still on the item and I had the original store receipt. I will stop at the front door and told that they could not help me. And I said well I just wanted to exchange it for a different size. And she yelled at me literally she screamed at me and told me that that was not allowed because the sales tax was different. And I said oh I don't mind if it's a few cents off... And both of them almost came across the counter to rip my head off. I've never heard of anything like this. It's the craziest thing I've ever heard. It's the dumbest thing that I've ever heard. I have heard from employees that they're fussy about clearance items or certain stores don't take back other stores merchandise blah blah blah blah. She didn't even give me a chance to finish my sentence. This is the dumbest thing that I've ever heard and I looked online and it clearly states that you can return merchandise within 30 days with the receipt. Both of them followed me throughout the store and made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. I quickly grabbed the correct size and left the store literally feeling sick to my stomach. All right ladies get back out to the parking lot and smoke those cigarettes. Maybe you can scare off some more customers in the parking lot. Absolutely horrible. Horrible. How can you be that angry all the time?????

Well it was late so decided let's try this store again. Worse the CSR working the till said are you in a hurry to the lady behind me she said yes why he SD the way you came up here. Well you are at the wrong store I take my time . Unbelievable.Terrible charge more then what it was priced and when I mentioned it sd she will change it later. Also started saying stuff to another person that I was complaining about the price being more per item and it shouldn't be a big deal.

Horrible place to go to all the workers are so rude and clearly on something, one guy especially makes me and my friends feel beyond uncomfortable, everytime we go in he makes comments to us I'm sure if you've been there you know who I'm talking about

Today, Sunday, 9/17, I was at Family Dollar this morning, and the old white girl was working as a cashier there. She despises me, I don’t know why, and she is not friendly. She is not nice to the customers. She is very rude. I don’t know why. How does she manage the store? I wanted to buy three large boxes of water and three boxes of soda. She asked me to put them all on the register. I told her that I did not need to put water in all of them because they were heavy. She would never sympathize with me. She forced me to carry them all because I was sick and suffering from pain in my chest, so I was not able to carry them all. So I left them and went out

On line says store is open until 10pm. Warm up my vehicle and get there by 9:30 and the door is locked with the employees car running in front of the store. Will be driving right past there to get 5toanother store in the future.BTW, THE STORE STILL SHOWS OPEN ON LINE 🤬

VERY Poor Service from the curly haired cashier(Med. Brown Hair Length) NO Greetings at All, she made me feel Rushed & She just Appeared to HATE Her Job. We've Been Here B4 & she was working out on the floor & she was RUDE when I asked her a price of something, I felt like I was a bother. Also Too Much merchandise thru out the store & the pricing tags are NOT there. I LOVE the huge selections but I Would like good Service. SORRY for the Bad Review but I probably won't be back to this store.

Omg yes! I agree with other reviewers! The curly short brown haired female employee was horrible to me today! I actually cried the whole way home and tried to call and email corporate to report the incident. I've never experienced something quite like that at a store and I will not step foot back inside te Mandan Family Dollar/Dollar Tree. I may not be a big loss, but it seems I am not alone.

If a zero star were possible, that would be too high if a rating. After walking the entire store, I finally found someone claiming to be an employee. When asked on the advertised sale items, she stated that none of the items would ring out as advertised. I inquired on what the price would be and her comment was that she didn’t know. I asked for her manager and she stated that she was the manager. Avoid this location is my advice.

If you're open until 10pm, then stay open until 10! Just walked there to pick up some dog food and a few other things. Employees were outside smoking. I asked to make sure they were open and she said " no, we close early to make sure people get out in time." That's a poor excuse in my opinion. I've worked retail or restaurant industry my whole life. I've never closed 30 mins early to make sure I could get out at a decent time. I dont drive & this just a 10 min walk from home so I try to shop here as much as I can..not anymore.

This store is awsome. I'm in there multiple times a week, the best part is the employees are always very friendly. Sometimes it's kinda backed up but the customer service definitely makes up for it.

The lady that worked here was on her phone the whole time even while checking customers out. Locked the doors 20 minutes before closing even tho the business was steady. Definitely do not recommend and will not return

Been going here for about 5 years now. Staff is always helpful in finding stuff. Pretty much the only place I can find the gain thai dragon fruit laundry detergent. I do like the new remodel of the store. I'll always come back here to find things I cant find at bigger stores

The location of this specific store is very central to all relevant places to my family. And the sales are always great. I don't, however, care much for the store manager over there. She's really rude when I'm shopping. And though its not the employees fault, the store looks dingey and dirty. It needs some TLC from corporate.

Very pleasant staff. Fair prices--remember this is not everything is a dollar, but you'll find good bargains. Like this store because it's conveniently located and a quick stop for milk can truly be "a quick stop"!!

This Family Dollar is clean and fully stocked. Prices are super affordable and staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I would've given it 5 stars, but the clothing is so over stocked that it constantly is falling off the racks.

Just stopped by family dollar to pick up a few items but could not find a bathroom scale asked if they had one and the lady who was the manager was very rude when telling us no we don’t. I really think if your not enjoying your job you should look for another one

I get ignored at register EVERY time I go in there. There could be a person that works there 20 feet from me and they will keep their back to me and ignore me. Unless they are helping someone else at the register and I am in line I do not get help and I have to chase them down or get their attention or tell them that I can see them ignoring me and I need to come help me. Today I literally said there is someone at the register you need to help your customers. Terribly customer service!

The manager at the mandan location on Nov 22 NEEDS AN ADDITUDE ADJUSTMENT..... she was extremely rude to the employee in front of alot of people.... if your having a hard time keeping emoyees at this location you might want to reconsider who you have managing it

Just came to pick up coffee filters and as I walk up to the door the gal working looks me dead in the eye and says sorry and locks the door. Sign on the door and website both say 9pm. I have given them a lot of business what I need just a couple of things and I’m done shopping here that was very rude!!!
